TMUSA, running enom. It somehow got the 2.2.1 OTA DL'd and now it nags non stop to install. I don't want it. How do I stop the nagging/prompting ?
Has any1 installed over Enom's 2.12.2 ?
I'm in the same situation here. Need to kill the nagging.

He's updating the build.prop in 2.12.3 so it will be same/newer. What it means for you having already downloaded it, maybe delete it from /cache ?

yepp i got the same update....went to try and get it on but said update failed haha oh well we got 2.2 long before they started rolling the update out
It's kinds of annoying. How do I turn it off?
Ideas guys?
If you do the update, it will reboot into recovery then fails (no pb) and then it won't propose you the update.
nanbackup is always safer
Thanks it worked

What i did was:
- install the original FRF91 (search the forums, you will find the link)
- install (from recovery or OTA) the update
The last step also put the stock recovery on and that was it ...

Guys, do you have any idea how to root Froyo DXJP8? I tried it by applying update.zip drom RyanZA's One Click Lagfix app. However, I couldn't apply update.zip on the recovery mode since it told me " E: signature verification failed. Installation aborted".
Please, need your help.

Where do u get DXJP8?
If this DXJP8 is real, please upload to somewhere for sharing because it seem to be the updatest version.
Official Asia Froyo?
is DXJP8 the official Asia Froyo updates that we are going to get next week?
Ahh. Jp8 has installed 3e recovery mode bootloader. The way people bypass that for jpm is to flash a rooted kernel via odin which also restores 2e recovery. You need to hunt down a jp8 root kernel.

I'll try to ask my friend if she can share it for us. I'm kinda satisfy with this ROM. The Lag is kinda better, but not fully fixed yet. The Quadrant test result is around 985

Take a look at that and try rooting using flashrec. I'm not 100% sure but theoretically it should be okay. Where it tells you to download the recovery grab this version HERE

Lol how am I supposed to install/use a file manager to install if the phone is v1.0? It's not even 1.5. Do you know an app that still works with v1.0 phones?

So you don't have market with version 1.0? To be honest never used it personally so no idea. If it has no market then simply upgrade (or as the guides tell you downgrade) to cupcake v1.5. Maybe I'm missing something but not sure what the hassle is?

Alright I have successfully rooted and flashed CM6 to my Dream. But there's this one process that keeps force-closing. Process: com.google.process.gapps
It's the Google Services Framework application. Should I reflash the Google Apps image or something? Or is this something I can fix by doing something..? I think it's because I renamed the zip file gapps.zip. Can I just leave the original file name the way it is and flash it?

It doesn't matter what you call it, it will flash.
It's just a bad flash by the sounds of things, go here and download a new copy and re-flash.
