Rom Upgrades MDA Vario

Hi all,
I have been reading alot about the comments every one seems to making regarding the MDA Vario (unlocking or rom upgrading)
I have the latest unlocking including (CID) and i also have the latest upgrades too.
These are the full updated versions which will also change the country settings from other countrys to the full english version.
If required you can buy the cd's off me for a small price via paypal which will include full instructions with the unlocking software and upgrades, which all work 100% as i have done 14 so far with no problems.
This software will NOT change youe imei as it is against the law to do so.

I think you have a problem, i will post what i want i have forgoten more then you will ever know about mobile communications i have spent the last 27yrs in the communication world, i have worked for motorola, phillips , nokia, in hitech deparments.
You are more then welcome to visit my company here in the united kingdom so you can take it any way you want to, but think what you say before you engadge your mouth with your brain.
We also devolope software and hardware for the mobile world, and some ones software dont work we then fixit or recomend it not to be used at no cost you see we also do things for free.
So what have you to offer then! apart from rude comments which just shows to me your stupidity.

If your comment wasent aimed at me then sorry for the reply, but if it is then it is no concern of yours if you want the software with a backup service then please ask.
There are people on this forum who are have bad problems with this type of equipment and paying a small charge for what is offered is really to cheap but we at JKS Communications are not to greedy as we have tested and tested again to make sure that every thing we sell is 100% because i can assure that alot of the upgrades and unlocking software isnt safe to use.
If you know anthing about mobile communications you would know this, i have 5 tech guys who work for me full time as we cover most makes on the market and currently have around 400+gig of firmware/software going back to the early tac units all the way to the present day also we have the latest equipment around which run into thousends of pounds, 27yrs i have been in the mobile communications world so i know what i am talking about.
Like i said at the start if your comment wasent directed to me then i apologise for the comments i have made.
And if it was then you are not interested in what i can offer then keep your comments to yourself please.

Hi,
Maybe so that most thing can be found on the internet but do they do what is claimed most dont.
And as fishing for business as you put it how can offering a service to help out those to who have tried out various software and are still having problems with phone's pda's ect which have a street price of around £375.
It seems to me that some find my offer affends if that is the case i will withdraw what i am offering and put the offer on my own website we just thought it would help out as most of the links are dead one's, and some of the programes offered for free are hacked and they do damage to your phone when used we know this as we have a lot of software that we have download for free and it is a waste of time.
As for the software being free on the net which is on the cd well the unlocking programe is and works 100% every time, but the main files for upgrading cost us money one of the files is a full version in english the latest microsoft windows v5 please tell me where i can download that for free not the simple rom update but the full Os system!.

Well this is the funiest yet, how can you call me a ripper? and it isnt a fancy name eather it was formed in 1987 proberly older then you currently are, you dont live in this country according to your details and i can't see how you can pass comment when you have no idear to what you are talkin about you are a class 1 PRATT just go back to school.

It's very sad to see that some nitwit takes free software from this site and tries to sell it. We see too many fricking a-holes on ebay doing the same thing.

someone will buy the cd that he claims can do most things that we cant and then post here......and the funny thing is the person will claim that he found how to this and that.

Take a run and jump son, the software is not free if it was then i would offer it for free there is no problem there, So please tell me then know it all where i can get a 100% geuine version of windows ver 5 with the latest update for free!!! with a installation serial number.

The only thing with that is, anybody in this section of the forum already has WM5 preinstalled on their device. And we can just strip out whatever we don't want installed. I'm failing to see the benefit of anybody in the "Wizard" area of the forums buying WM5 from you. By the way, I'd also like to point out that normally, in any business, there's always some kind of customer service and professionalism. You may want to do some research into that. I know that, from most of my experiences, if you have a problem, the company gives you sympathy. If you disagree with a policy, most companies would at the very least apologize about the way things are. You, my friend, act as a douche for your company. Only, in this instance, you're flushing out business. ~sniff~ Ah, the smell of vinegar in the night air. . .

How long has your "company" been in operation ?
Are you UK VAT Registered ?
Is any of the software on the CD copyrighted / GNU licence etc ?
Also your a very new user here on xda-developers (under JKS_COMMS you only reg'd on 21-10-2006), only 6 posts (all of these in this thread) I doubt anyone is going to take you seriously.
Got to say this all sounds a bit fishy to me, do you really think ANYONE here with half a brain will send you a fiver - sounds like a bit of a scam to me so maybe this thread needs reporting to a MOD.

The software i hve didnt come from this site nor ebay as i dont have an account.
You are such a plank i can see now this forum has got A holes in it and plenty of them who can always pass comment well you can shove it, i got the software it's 100% perfect and works great but thanks to you bunch of upstarts who like to see other members suffer as the software you find on the net isnt that good thats why it is free.

there is nothing fishy here all my software is 100% i had to pay for it which was more then a fiver, so i thought i would help some one out on here with support to help them get there mda sorted and running 100% so i didnt think it was to much to ask, but as you can see it is wrong of me to offer this software at this price so i wont it do not bother me.

for someone with the vocabulary of a 9 year old, he sure does seem confident in his ability to produce working software. As for wm5 being pad for, it does NOT require a cdkey. OEM's that resell it sometimes (I have heard of one) that has added a cdkey to it to it and it was compared to a hardware id. As for a place you can find a full wm5..... everywhere?

Weather App no longer listing America as a country???

Now I've done some simple tweaks, but NOTHING to do with the weather app. I go to set my city and it asks me to select a country, America, USA, United States of America, NOTHING is listed. I would say every other country is listed but America.
I've searched and searched and the only things i can come up with is a Custom City Zip, that will not help me b/c I can't select America haha..
Any help?

btw folks I know I'm a newbie here, but this isn't a post about finding a specific city... Its actually not showing America as a country haha.

Well, america is a continent and not a country so..

argh... I really hate to hard reset the thing :-\...
Whats happening is, I hit the weather app, it says "Add City" I click it and it says "Add Country" and it doesn't show "America", "United States", "USA" nothing. It has every other country listed though.
I'm sure theres a registry tweak or something that will get it back to normal

Shouldn't you vote for product codes not countries, I have understood that Kies is upgrading based on product codes (CSC's)...
Like I have two Samsung toys (phone and tab) but different product codes.

[Q] [REQ] Multi Region/Countries Blinkfeed

Greetings fellow XDA community members,
I was wondering if a mod/script that changes the blinkfeed selection to multiple regions or countries instead of just one, because I have a friend whom he wants to view both Australian and German blinkfeed, unfortunately, in the way blinkfeed designed originally is to only allow one region or country to be chosen.
I believe some of us are corporate travelers and works overseas all the time and would like to check news on blinkfeed, but also stay in touch and up to date with two or more regions at the same time. i.e. German soccer news & Australian Entertainment and politics news...
The sad parts is I am actually new to Android, so I couldn't help my friend or myself, and my insufficient knowledge of coding hinders my potential to fully utilize this great phone. I could only rely on the great custom roms and kernels that has been put out there by the developers.
It would be great if any developers out there that could shed some light on this.

Thanks truc007, but on your chinese one, can you choose to display all French, German and let's say USA blinkfeed all at once? Does this patch allow you to select multiple blinkfeed sources?

I don't remember. I've done it on my wife's 802d mainly to get rid of the Chinese news.

Sadly that zip doesnt do what we're looking for, just flashed it, blinkfeed forgets all settings but doesnt change a thing, configuring it again i still cant combine dutch and american sources... :crying:

Submitting apps to China stores

Hi Guys,
As a UK based Android game developer we have recently had a few games released on China Mobile and 189 stores via a publisher/distributor who have a presence in-country.
For our future titles I'm currently investigating the idea of submitting to these Chinese app stores ourselves in order to hopefully bypass the ‘middle man’ so to speak.
Lots of links to the app stores 'developer centres' exist, however it seems I've failed at the first hurdle. During the registration process I am being asked for our Chinese business license number and Tax registration number. I cannot seem to bypass this section or submit our UK business details in order to continue. Either that or I'm being asked to input a Chinese mobile number in order to receive a verification code.
Just wondering if anyone else had any experience of self submitting to these China stores? It seems as though anyone outside of China is not allowed to submit apps? Is that correct?

Out of curiosity - which distributor did you work with there? We worked with Tencent and the whole experience was / is a bit difficult, to say the least.

We went with a publisher called Thumbstar, who are based in the UK, who work with a company from China called Viva Red. Currently they are getting us on the state owned stores like China Mobile and China Telecom.
I have heard of Tecent. Aren't they a massive 3rd party app store? So did you apply through their website or did they send you an invite to put your games on their store? Have you had much sales success with them?

but ,you can choose some big store just like 360.cn ,91,wandoujia,and myapp.com .you can contact me by [email protected] .i may give u some help .

From my own experience it is easy to submit to Wandoujia (Peas Pod), takes about a week for them to approve everything, you need to prove you're the copyright holder of the the app (scan of company certificate) when you submit along with a signed "owner" form from their submission process. Registering is pretty straight forward thanks to Google Translate (for best results install the Google Translate addon into your web browser and/or use Chrome):

I've only submitted a free app, not sure but suspect things are more complicated with paid apps.
Other Chinese app stores are harder to submit to but usually only because of translation issues or also having to install their apps first and create an account - the apps are always Chinese too.

My app is on many stores in China, but I never uploaded it, they are just distributing a cracked version... :-/

$10 publish fee for each China app store
I check the website called www.app4chinese.com and they provide service to publish app in China. $10 per store and they list 19 China app stores on their website.

there's lot of 3rd party android marketing in China, it will be much a better to have a partner there. the marketing potential is really big.
