I have a Motorola Droid running Froyo and a Jawbone ICON BT earphone with the latest profiles from Jawbone loaded.
System sounds, e.g., when I get a email or text message do not go to the BT ear phone but rather are played on the phone speaker - this is maddening. My WInMo 6 phone got this right.
Music (who cares) and phone voice plays on the BT but alerts go to the phone speaker.
Any ideas on a fix?
Note: I have the latest profile from Jawbone with the A2DP enabled - this caused music to play n the BT but does not get alerts playing in the BT.

While listing to music and a call comes in or is made, does the BT switch between the two profiles(Headset/BT Stereo)? Because after the call ends music resumes but unable to hear without re-establishing stereo connection by double clicking BT stereo play button or otherwise. Are there any work around tweaks for this?
Also PocketPlayer does resume ok after calls, only not able to control with stereo headdset. Puzzling??????????
yes it switches
for me it works fine and music resumes after the call
it may be due to your headset as different ones have given different experiences
which ones are you using?
Hey all,
I just picked up a shiny new set of Sony DR-BT10CX A2DP headphones, because I was sick of the huge Diamond headphone adapter.
I was hoping that the clever folks of xda-developers could clear up a few things for me, though.
Does A2DP support calling (microphone, etc), or should the phone switch the HFP/HSP when a call is made (or comes in)?
I ask because I'm getting bizarre behaviour...
If I'm listening to music and I make a call, the music mutes and I get my friend's voice through the headphones, but I have to speak through the phone.
If I'm listening to music and I receive a call, the music still mutes, but I have to use the phone to hear and speak.
Also, voice commands don't work through the microphone.
If the phone is supposed to switch into HFP from A2DP to deal with calling, this all makes sense (sort of...), but it doesn't explain why the profile switching doesn't happen.
I know there are already a bunch of topics about the Diamond and A2DP, but nothing that fits my situation. Since I'm using the Telus CDMA Diamond, I imagine that the other problems with A2DP were fixed (since I never have the problem of the phone playing music through the speaker instead of the headphones after a call), but it's still not perfect.
Does anyone know of a reliable Bluetooth Audio App? i tried (what seems to be the only one on the market) Bluetooth Audio widget app and it does the trick... it transfers all the sound like music, gps directions and phone call to my jawbone. The application itself crashes all the time and the widget it self is non responsive sometimes and you have to remove it and add it again.
I'm not sure what you mean. I have a stereo bluetooth headset for running and such and all I do is enable bluetooth on my phone and turn on the headset (it was one I got on new egg by motorola and will take calls as well). Anyways it automatically transfers audio after that to the headset only. I assume this is the way out normally is for any headset.
Hi,
I am using Jabra Sport earphones together with my Droid 4. Music gets streamed, but no system notifications. My music will get muted on my earphones, while the system notifications (of new messages, email etc) is played from my phone, and then the music resumes on my earphones again.
Am wondering if this is specific to Droid 4, do you have any issues with your bluetooth headsets, or is it a problem with Jabra. Or is there a setting I need to configure on my Droid 4 to play all sounds through bluetooth?
Thank you!
what the title says. Is it normal for Texts to be read aloud over the phone speaker even when paired to my car bluetooth?
Every car stereo is different so I hope this helps.
When I'm connected via Bluetooth with both phone and media selected in Bluetooth settings there's 2 scenarios. If I'm listening to the radio the incoming text is muted and will not play through the phone speaker or through my car speakers. If I select media on my car stereo to listen to music that's on my phone via Bluetooth then incoming text will play through my car speakers. I put all my music on a flash drive and use the USB port. Then I uncheck media in Bluetooth settings. Incoming text come through my phone speaker but phone calls still come through car speakers

Mine does not read incoming texts through my car speakers, and volume lowers so much on my phone that I can't hear the text being read. Phone calls are not an issue. Everything routes through my car speakers. Seemed to work fine when I had the Moto X 2013 edition. I've tried changing every Moto Voice setting I can find without success. No issues streaming Google Play Music or Pandora through the Bluetooth car connection, either.
