I'm thinking about picking up the extended battery as well, more battery life is always a plus, long as it doesn't look too clunky

Is there any way to get accurate battery readings on the extended battery on android? Any apps or widgets?
There are official bp e400 2300Mah Hd2 batteries on ebay for 25GBP.
Cover looks good, perfetly matches the phone, makes the phone little bit too thick.
But you can pull off 2 full days with 1 charge on android with normal use.
I am using mdj froyo hd 4.6 with hastarin kernel and I get accurate drain readings.
I had boot issues with it with lots of roms!!!!, never tried nand roms, though.
The hard case and extended battery that I use with my HD2

Even though it doesnt come with a stand...it does the job!
It has a switch the allows me charge the battery on the go as well as protects the screen.
And the best part, it works with the Android OS

I have one of the 2300 mAh batteries from eBay that you described. On Gingerbread, I would get about 3-4 days of battery life in airplane mode w/ wifi on [ I don't use my phone for service], and if I leave the radio on, I still get 2-2 1/2 days of life. The same stands for Ice Cream Sandwich as well. This is on NAND ROMs by the way, I've never used my extended battery with WP7, Winmo, or SD ROMs.
bought a 2400mAh battery (cameron sino technology, model no. cs-ht8585xl). the performance is not bad but the extended cover is just plastic, looks and feels cheap and doesn't fit as good as the original one. so i need it now only in case of emergency.
Hi all,
Has anyone tried the Epic 4g battery in a Captivate? I think they are the same battery shape/size etc. Any reason I shouldn't buy one?
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi16ssgs.htm
50 dollars for a 1600mah battery that probably isnt even 1600mah...you're better off just getting the 1500mah samsung battery from at&t for $30
Price isn't really an issue, I was more interested if anyone has used the 1600mAh in their Captivate. Seidio uses excellent quality batteries, I've purchased their extended batteries for most of my phones. If you're really worried about price, you can also order from Mugen (who also has excellent quality batteries) for roughly $40.
check out batteryboss dot org
they tested the seidio 1600mah battery for the N1 and it has an actual capacity of 1305mah. Mugen 1800mah batteries are really 1404mah.
check out the oems on that page...
here's some testing from another xda member http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906611
you can get some 5 dollar batteries from ebay that preforms just as good as those seidios and mugens but to answer your question yes an epic battery will work for the captivate
Lots of good info thanks man

I was looking around and saw those too. It would seem that the Mugen Power batteries still provide better life generally.

I only know 1800mAh battery but this one is legit.
looking for a new battery for my Legend, any suggestions?
What is the best moneyworthy alternative out there, i lost the old one, so i just need a fairly good battery, and hopefully not less good than original, but better value for the money wouldnt be bad.
I suggest mugen
I uses this battery for about 4 weeks and it works great within this time but after round about 6 weeks the battery lifetime reduces to a minimum and at the end i only was able to use my legend for about 6 hours with about 70% of standby-time. I dont know if it was a manufactoring error or this battery is just crap? Meanwhile im using the original battery again...

Definitely the Wildfire. My friend had a Wildfire imported to Canada (stupid idea) and the battery I ordered works interchangeably between the two. Though he wasn't scared of the risks because it had printed Wildfire/Legend on the back of the battery. I'd imagine the HTC battery is at the very least similar.

I have one Gold battery and it work ok, is a good value to the money.
The battery I buy in webstore Pixinf can work more that 2 days and the original one only work less than one day.
Be carefull, I think some gold batteries are made on china (not in japan) and are copy ones (fake).

Hey, I was wondering if any of you have experience with some of the extended batteries available for the incredible 2/s. I know htc makes a official 2150mah one for the incredible 2 that would work but i was also considering the seidio innocell 3500mah one. Any thoughts?
I use a Mugen Power 1800mAh extended battery and I'll be honest, I'm not sure of I've seen that much of an improvement. Maybe an extra couple of hours? Up to you if you think it's worth the cost of buying one I guess.

i bought a 3500mah batt off ebay (not any major battery brand) for like 11USD $. It works great get around 5 days of life with it with wifi/mobile network on, except the signal strength dropped around 1-2bars, because the connectors arent the proper ones htc and other phones give you.
I bought the official htc oem 2150mah battery for the incredible 2 off of amazon and its been great! cost me 25 dollars and fits perfectly! Doesnt make the phone too big and almost doubled my battery life

No it comes with a slightly larger back cover so the phone becomes a bit thicker
I just ordered the anker battery which is the same size but 1600mah
http://www.amazon.com/7600mAh-Exten...id=1354144607&sr=1-14&keywords=note+2+battery
Probably less of mAh rating if you peel it back but to be honest isnt too bad to try out but i'd rather buy the Anker 3100.
What do you guys think?
My battery is only 1850mAh. :'(

You really think a non brand item would have that much capacity? Doubling the battery would make it 6200 (if it was linear) and to think you want to put a non branded 7600 mah battery in a $700 phone? No thanks.
I purchased the Onite extended battery, for the n7100. It adds some serious bulk, but at the expense of nearly doubling your battery life.
Only consider buying items that have reviews on them.
is everybody here an expert on batteries now. I have bought no name batteries from the past for my touch pro, tp2, evo 4g, evo3d, sg2, and now the note 2. They all work the same, if not better. they are cheap and about 1/3 to 1/4 of the price. I bought this one exactly and the battery life is awsome.
I picked up an extra stock battery lg tones and the all share cast thingy last week with sprint's 30% off accessories sale. Have yet to actually need the battery. But comforting to know it is there

What? 7600 mah? this is just stupid. I'm sorry, but someone's got to say it. I see no logic behind this other than an ironic gimmick. Only for extremely specific uses would this make sense. If you plan on going long periods of time without charging, why can't you just buy 2 standard size batteries of superior quality and performance? Is it really that hard to shut off your phone and plug the new one in? Also, if you buy multiple standard batteries, your case will actually fit. And there's no way this thing is 7600 mah. And if it is, it is terrible quality. Just wanted to point out that this battery is twice the size of the original 7 inch galaxy tab's and more than 8 times the size of the 4th generation ipod touch's. lol

Its probably really a 3 cell battery wrapped in one probably 1500 or 1800mAh. So basically it can range from 4500mAh to 5400mAh. Anyways I understand your point but it does have its use where if you can't turn your phone off its goo for those who are on call. Or don't want to swap simple as that just like any extended battery's purpose.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, reading my post again I think I was a little too critical. I find this thing absurd, but to each their own.
Many off brand batteries make wild and excessive amp/hour claims they cannot possibly meet. The threads on xda documenting this behavior has been numerous and thorough. This strikes many as disingenuous and it has not been conducive to building customer trust.
That said, some of them do offer real value and the better known ones seem to be stable and safe. So, as long as you are aware that the offbrand battery is very likely to not match oem, it will give you the battery swap ability that we have all come to love in our Samsung devices. The prices are typically so low that in real economic terms they can be a better value. I've owned them all and have come to prefer oem, but not enough to dissuaded others from that
Sony Ericsson, Htc Kaiser, Samsung Captivate, Note I, Note II
Im using Note II LTE 7105.
I wish to ask is N7100 using the same battery as N7105? well because i have bought a battery from ebay
http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/GOLD-4500...ht_2519wt_1139
and when i tell them im using Note II 7105 LTE, they reply me with this
"We understand that you would like to know if there's an issue with the battery because you purchased a N7100 battery where in fact your using N7105 LTE version.
The battery you purchased is compatible only for Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 not for N7105 LTE version.
May I know how do ou want to proceed with the transaction?"
Now this freaks me out. Can i confirm with you guys if the battery im purchasing from this e cell, is it usable?
interesting.....
As far as I know, it would be compatible.
called up some phone shop and they mentioned they (N7100 & N7105) ARE using the same battery. the ebay guy gaves me the impression that my phone will explode. lol
good thing is battery thickness is the same. 4500mah should be decent enough for that price though...
