The wavesevcure site says it can wipe these things:
Backup - Phone contacts, SMS, Call logs, Calendar items
Upload - Photos, Videos
Restore - Contacts, SMS, Calendar items
Wipe - Contacts, SMS, Email, Calendar items, Photos, Videos and Memory card content (Email wipe is not supported for Android platforms)
Reading this, I'd guess that is DOES NOT wipe android browsing history, cookies or username/passwords. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Is there a security app that actually wipes the browsing username/passwords and email? Without those, this isn't much "security" for me.

Activesync and message centre have no provision for backing up text messages. I found Microsoft Myphone Beta. You download the sync software from the website to phone, then you have access to messages, contacts, music, pictures, etc from the web, similar to skydrive or yahoo briefcase in principle. The following link gives you more info:

Can anyone tell me which box or boxes to tick in spb backup just to save sms and call register? Under custom backup I can select:
PIM Data (Contacts, tasks, etc)
Emails
My documents
System Data
Internal storage
I think the 'Email' box will backup SMS, but which one saves the record of phone calls made and received? (Those are all I need since Outlook automatically saves my contacts and calendar appts with activesync.)
Hey all,
I am pretty anal and are always clearing my SMS inbox, on my old Nokia I could sort messages into folders so I would have one for important messages that I could put them in and not delete by accident while having a clearout. Is there any such functionality on the Hero either with or without an app?
Thanks
Russ
The following app is able to backup SMS messages to Gmail (It's free)
http://code.google.com/p/android-sms/
Also, if you do a search with keyword 'backup' in Market, you would find a few apps which could backup your data (more than just SMS) into SD card.
if you goto contacts, press history, it displays texts, emails, call logs and Facebook messages....
i can delete everything, apart from facebook messages.
anyone else havin this?
even if messages are not in facebook anymore, and i do a sync,
there still there..
remove and reinstall facebook app, still there,
i dont want to do a factory reset.
can i delete this via USB cable somehow?
or am i doing something wrong..
running i9000xwJM2
nobody seen this error at all? its the only thing that i find wrong with the phone....
just cannot delete FB history, its impossible.
Go to Settings - Account & Sync, choose your FB account and remove it. All your Contact's history should be gone. Re-add your FB account but I foresee recurring FB contact history.
Strange, mine doesn't show any Facebook messages...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Same with mine no facebook messages in the history tab. Are you maybe seeing email messages sent from facebook notifications?
After the 5.1 update, i'm having some troubles with the contacts storage. I have a few problems, like:
- after the sync, I have a few duplicate contacts, wrong contacts picture and for some contacts are merged wrong...like 4-5 people merged in one contact
- if I hide some contacts (yahoo, skype etc) from contacts app, the modifications are not replicated in dialer app.
I already tried to reset my phone, clear data for dialer, contacts, contacts storage applications. Anyone else have this problems?
Same problem
I had the same problem. If you have all your contacts synced online, the original contacts should stay as it is on Google contacts which you can see in your gmail on your PC . So go to the apps settings and clear contacts cache. That should delete all your contacts except for the ones saved in your sim card. Remove your google account from your phone and then log in again. Your contacts should get synced with the ones in your gmail. I tried this and most of the contacts were fixed but there are still some which are merged. For those, go to their contacts on your phone and there should be a separate option in your options. The merged contact will get separated. But I guess you will to have to individually do that for the contacts that are still merged.

Click to collapse
If you have Sync.Me or similar app uninstall it. I think it started to mix contacts after Facebook changed something in API making those sync apps useless.
