Tips: Change your shortcut icons!

I'll start with how I have mine setup right now.

Just thought I would enlighten others on how to accomplish this!
I used three files from my XP system: moricons.dll, pifmgr.dll, and shell32.dll. All these files can be found under c:\windows\system32. Basically, just copy these files to your device's \windows directory. Then, use the icon shortcut file in the Games folder and edit them as you would like.
Here's how I have mine setup:

GPS: 1#pifmgr.dll,-35
Internet: 1#shell32.dll,-14
Multimedia: 1#shell32.dll,-41
References: 1#moricons.dll,-108
Utilities: 1#shell32.dll,-274
Edit the icon files as shown and place them in respective folders. That is it! I left the Games and Office folders as they were.
Note: shell32.dll is pretty big (around 8.5MB). In case you already did not know this, enjoy this tip.

And how do you read the icons from the DLL file?
You can't guess that you have to use -14 for an internet icon. Do you read the DLL's on your pc, or can you do that from your PPC?

Isn't this like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut? 8.5 MB just for a few icons. I'm sure a smaller solution is possible.

Haha...of course! I just tried it at work this morning. I will definitely be looking into smaller dll files for this once I get off work.

New HTC Home Icons, Clock and TSK

Hi All,
Been kinda scarce around here lately, since I was checking in today to see what's happening i thought I would share some stuff I put together. The tsk is based off a wallpaper I found at deviant art I think it was from Ken Saunders from mouserunner, The images in the icons i just picked up off the web and tweaked them to suit my needs.
I know everybody is going to manilla 2d but personally I'm going to wait till all the bugs are worked out by the genius's around here before i switch.

What's the name of the program that's at the very bottom of your phone. I like it. It looks like a continuation of the HTC home plugin.
Do you know if you can customize those shortcuts or anything of the sort?

its battery status (now home screen plus plus ), and yes you can pretty much do anything with it if you can set up an xml file.

can these be loaded with HHC (HTC Home Customizer)?

sure, just drop the file in the correct folders in program files, htc home customizer, and then choose whatever you would like.

btw i get an app execution error about a missing file from HHV V1.0Final so I will have to revert to 0.8 i guess

hmmm, I have v1.0 and it seems to work just fine on my device, I actually copied the files right off my phone , zipped em up and posted , let me know if there is anymore trouble.

call me an idiot but how do i install these...i found the current files and tried to copy paste and overwrite them but obviously they're currently in use so it says access denied

use htc home customizer, I tried to upload it but somethings not working, you'll find it if you do a search.Install it then find the files folder in the program and drop the icons in the icon folder, you can then open up hhc and choose the icons. Hope that helps

Inspired by TheDaniel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=518634), I made this cpr for QVGA devices, which uses Segoe UI as a font and uses much smaller font, which in my opinion looks nicer..
The Expanded View of the plugins is still the same, don't know if i'm gonna edit these ones too, maybe tomorrow...

So here you go...
UPDATE 29 MAY
Added COffice to the plugin list.
File is found in the attached ZIP.
Install:
1. Backup the file: \windows\Titanium_240x320.cpr to your perferred location. You MUST do this to be able to uninstall.
2. Install and enable the plugins you wish
3. Copy and paste my file to your windowsfolder and confirm overwrite.
4. Restart your titanium or reset your device.
This only supports default theme...

Looks Great! I will test it out now.

Nice set-up by you and daniel. The only thing that's missing is larger font and weather adjustment. Clouds off the screen and not aligned will there be a fix for this? Thanks Good work.

[Oct 13] - HTC Hub DesireHD Collection - Wallpapers/Notifications/Ringtones

To my amazement I found too much stuff already available on HTC Hub for Desire HD ROM users. I downloaded all the notifications and ringtones till today and some wallpapers since there are a ton of categories.

because although our screens are at 480x800, the wallpaper must be wider because when we swipe from side to side on the homescreen, the wallpaper moves too.

Wallpapers --> only avalable via Albums/Gallery
Ringtones --> Create a folder "ringtones" on the SD
Notifications --> Create a folder "notifications" on the SD
Alarms --> Create a folder "alarms" on the SD
--> And put the files in there just as you want them to appear in the tone-selsection-menus (i just copied all in every folder, so that i have always the choice between all tones for any action i.e. ring, notification and alarm)

Perfectly fine to do that. If you want it a bit more organised, create a folder on your SD card called "media" for example. Then create the ringtones/notifications/alarms folders inside that. This will also work.

How do you set it as ringtones???

Will you add some equalizers in future?

trying V2 .. downloaded from marketplace & works well
it plays & downloads in background & i can add ringtones...but under "about" it still say Version 1.0 ??
also I have a question: while playing a song from playlist, is it possible to advance to middle of song or rewind back? i can only jump to next or previous song but not move within a song
also, how do you add backgrounds? where/how do you get the artist pics?

Please follow the instructions.
A long press on a song in 'My Download' starts up a menu. Set it to ring tongs. The size of the song must be less than 1MB, length is less than 39 seconds. We provide a ring site(zedge) for users. Most of ring tones in there are available.
