Hey. I'm about to flash my phone to Tayutama Edition and I was wandering if I should do so with or without voodoo lagfix?
So what is the pros and cons about voodoo lagfix? It removes lags ofcause but anything else?
One more thing: What version of the lagfix should I use?

Right now i have xxJPK installed on my Galaxy S. I heard JM8 + VooDoo LagFix is the most stable rom for Galaxy S till now. My Question is where do I get JM8, how do I install it and how to root it and also apply VooDoo LagFix?
You already know I'm new at these
Thanks in advance!
Is there any lagfix available for JP6? Especially did for that? Or an eclair one is good also for froyo?
Only OCLF is right now for use. but Voodoo will come soon
I have been out of the scene for a couple of weeks and now I am noticing that most custom ROMs are no longer using the speedmod kernels. What have I missed? Why are ROM cookers flocking back to VOODOO?
i'd also like to know what the advantages of one over the other are
me too. they all in general have the same tweaks
From what I understand the speedmod is just a kernel upgrade, voodoo changes the partitions to ext4 which is faster.....
I think both using ext4...but voodoo sounds cooler

Look in Android Development subforum here. You'll find custom kernels to do what you want.
eg. SpeedMOD, FuguMOD, etc.

Today's GB rom is smooth enough, no lagfix is needed.
If you need ext4, the famous Voodoo or Speedmod also is the solution for you.

Hi!
I have currently Darky's v9.3.XWJSS, 2.6.32.9 hardcore speedmod with lagfix(ext4) and XXJPY. It's about 2 years since I did this, and can't remember much from what I did back then, about the technicalities and such
So..my question is what do I have to do to flash to a JB-based rom now? Do I have to disable lagfix?
Can I use this method? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049504&highlight=ext4
