Can I delete the ROM zip files after I flash them?

I was wondering, if I have a ROM.zip file on my sd card can I delete it once I boot the ROM or does it have to stay on there?

You can delete it..............

You can delete it. The ROM isn't stored on the SD card, it's stored in system data and boot.

Hey, recently I've been flashing all kinds of ROMs in to my milestone and pretty much filled my SD Card with garbage.
I want to format my sd card, and leave only the system files.
How do I do this?

From what I know even after you format sdcard the system prepares folders that are required for it to function but the content from them is deleted. Example-after you format your sdcard, it would definately prepare a folder called dcim for the camera storage but the pics you had in them before formatting are deleted.

[Q] MKV Copy problem

I tried to copy 4.3GB MKV file to note's internal storage. Then I cancelled as it was not completing, now 4gb of free space has disappeared from my internal memory, but I can't find a file to delete anywhere, certainly not in the directory I was copying to. Any one had this issue before?

Try Copy it again and delete it. otherwise try formatting internal Card

reboot the phone
i doubt you will be able to copy anything voer 4gig to the internal memory

there is a some work around to copy files larger than 4gb. it involves changing sd card to ntfs format. just do a search on xda.

i used to have a sd ext...but then i formated it and this error came (E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblkop2)...now i always get this error when i wipe data/ system on the cwm...so if anyone know how to slove it...please help me...!!!

Something got messed up in your sd card.
Reformat and repartitio it:
Use a card reader and insert the sd-card to your pc. Make a backup of all its contents (remember to include hidden files), and then format it entirely. Repartition it, then copy your backup to your sd card.
