I installed the SGS Tools apk and was playing around with it. I tried out the secret code for the touch screen firmware upgarde.
I clicked on "Upgrade" for the touch keys and now they do not work anymore. That is the menu and back buttons.

I am trying to lock down the Hardware buttons on my m700 using
PHM Regedit I can lock down all buttons successfully except the Windows button using
Flag SET TO 9 ON BUTTONS 40C1 etc in registry
I am also using askarya PocketKiosk Builder 2.6 which on soft reset the task manager works again.
Unfortunately there appears to be a bit of a bug. Although I disable all hardware buttons the and only allow through my own applications it still after a soft reset then reactivates the windows hardware start button allowing access to the menus ontop of my allowed app, simply meaning you can access all programs and settings. (Bit pointless really)
Can anyone help me lock down the windows button and the 4 way navigation pad. Is there any reg tweaks or other suggestions you can help me with
Thanks in advance
Hi i have a problem with my MDA IV Compact. I searched the forums but found no answer to my problem.
I want to do some basic button remapping and so i go to settings -> personal -> buttons and guess what. There are NO buttons listed in the buttons list.
Has anyone come across this before and if so can you help me solve it? I mean there are only few hardware buttons present in diamond its a shame not to be able to map them.
Button mapping...
The only button you can map by default is the long press of the 'dial' hardware key. This should be showing in your button list as 'Button 1(Hold)'. There is an application called GScroll available here, which lets you map the four hardware keys by touch (double tapping them). Not exactly what you're after, but it's all I can think of to help you out
thats thing. i get NO buttons on my list gscroll looks nice. too bad its not free ware. but its cheap so i may get it.
you can use dredsensor
this tool allow you to remap buttons depending on running programs
No, no, no!
Diamond CAN have its call key remapped via Windows.
I had the opposite; a glitch entry appeared in the buttons list.
I am attaching a reg-file which will bring back the call button mapping. But be careful, this comes from Windows with localization patch.
Or, you can hard reset. If MDA CIV ROM creators didn't remove it intentionally, it should be there.
Hi guys! I got a Touch HD and the version of HTC ALBUM that comes installed dosnt seems to support keys to change pictures (Im maping left and right keys to the volume ones).
I want to know if the version that comes in the diamond allow you to do that or the only way to change pictures is scrolling on the screen.
If it support the keys can you upload that version somewhere please?
no one with a diamond can answer me this ?
How exactly are you mapping the keys to do this?
My diamond does not do this as standard (is that what you are asking?)

Click to collapse
Thanks for answering. I will try to explain more clear (sorry about my bad english)
I got a touch HD, and configured the volume keys to emulate the directional pad LEFT and RIGHT keys. I made this using AEbutton Plus. That's fine. It works on every program but the HTC ALBUM. And what I want is to be able to change pictures in Album using keys, not sliding my finger on the screen.
Because the DIAMOND has hardware cursor keys, perhaps the ALBUM version on it it's diferent and has keys enabled to change pictures. I need someone with a diamond to confirm me this. If that's the case I really want to try the diamond ALBUM version on my touch hd.
So I have been using the stock reader to read books since I rooted my NST, but have no way of going back in it I have the top left page turn button configured for back in Android, but the library app doesn't recognize this. I also have lost the software back button in the bar at the top of the screen. Any ideas?
try to fix permission or remap buttons through nook touch tools and then reboot
I'm guessing that you don't use Button Savior, then? Well, if you can get to the Nook Touch Tools, you can set one of the other physical buttons to home.
So Im running CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly and want to have onscreen buttons (back menu etc.) Instead of having the back lit hardware buttons
Is there a setting to add onscreen buttons or is there a .zip file or something that I can flash?
All surgestions would be great
Google it, you're not the first one to ask this
This. It's works on any device..
