Please help me to get Kies connected so that i can upgrade my phone to I9000DDJV6.Official Gingerbread released in India through Kies
For Kies to conect you need to be on you stock firmware.
I find Odin and custom Rom's much better then stock firmware, and Kies. But that's just me

Phone does not boot after failed Kies GB upgrade

Hi,
My AT&T Captivate was on Froyo. Today I got time to upgrade it to Gingerbread. After several problems with Kies, I could finally make it run, but before it could finish, Kies reported that upgrade failed and asked me to reboot.
Now when I reboot, I only see Mobile Icon+ ! + PC Icon. I could get once in download mode.
I am not sure what should I do?
(1) Do I have to install Eclair (2.1) using ODIN?
(2) Or can I install GB directly? If so how?
(3) Can I install some other ROMS like Cynogenmod?
I found lot of Odin files on the Internet and am not sure which one should I use?
Please help! Any URL for download would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Flash gingerbread ROM with boot-loaders.

Yes I am downloading I897UCKK4 Odin One Click - Stock, CONTAINS Bootloaders, Re-partition, Full Wipe mentioned by XDA member 4-2ndtwin. I saw some youtube videos on how to get into download mode. I hope I should get GB soon...will update once I do it.
Thanks.
I trying loading using Odin but it got stuck at "Setting up connection"
I then restarted PC and did it again and this time it went 2 more steps and then the screen became completely GREEN
Then I did the whole exercise again and now the screen became PINK
Now I am not even able to get into DOWNLOAD MODE...and neither do I see [mobile]![PC] icons.
Nothing happens. Is my phone now really bricked?
Please help! I am now worried about this.

[Q] Please help me with this galaxy ace 5830

Hello all,
Yesterday i was trying to update my friends SG Ace FW with odin, so i downloaded the right firmware.
The next thing i connected the galaxy ace to odin in download mode, i selected the firmware, and it got stuck at setupconnection in odin.
I tried changing the USB port and reinstall the samsung drivers but no luck at all.
The next thing i realized that i selected a wrong firmware, the samsung galaxy ace 5830(i) firmware which i had in the same oding foler earlier for another device.
So i selected the right firmware for the device, and it got stuck again in setupconnection mode, so i got bored from all of this, then i turned off the phone and turned it on, and the phone now shows a mobile and a pc with a yellow triangle in the middle.
The biggest problem that my friend needs the phone today. :/
So please help me guys.
Thanks.

[Q] S4A bricked by Kies

Hi folks,
this evening i connected my S4A to my Mac and Kies told me there was an update and i decided to let Kies do what Kies can do (what seemed to be a _big_ failure). Kies messed up while uploading the new firmware to the device after just a couple of percent. After a reboot I now see a screen telling me: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I tried an 'recovery mode' with the recovery-code Kies provided. But this gets also stuck at just a few percent.
My next try was to use Odin with the approriate firmware i managed to download after somer hours (man - some servers are really slow theses days) but then i got the message about a missing PIT. =/
Does anyone have an idea of how i should continue from here on?

Skavaer

Can you get into download mode at all? And why Kies? Is that all you have is Mac? I would say if you can get into download at all and have access to a windows device to Odin back to stock MF1. Sorry about your luck though

I can get into download mode and I already tried with Odin in a VirtualBoxed Win7 with the current FW .. (Odin in a VirtualBoxed Win7 to me usually works fine) .. but Odin wanted a PIT.
Why Kies? In my naivity I didn't even in my dreams thought Kies could mess up this bad =/.
Now my dumb question: where can I get a (3-part) stock MF1? Aunt Google was not helpfull.
EDIT: It finally worked - I just had to use the original USB-Cable ..
Good news there! Its amazing how much the cable can make a difference
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-1337 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Is there an update? Kies is telling me it does not support an update for my current version (MF3)

Exactly the same happened to me. I managed to return to previous state by flashing stock ROM i9295XXUBMK3.

However my issues with no sound and random reboots remain. How annoying it is to reboot phone once or twice everytime you want to make a phone call. And byebye receiving phonecalls.. If anyone knows solution to this, I'd be glad to try it.
