Contact Name for call/text

I got a strange problem on my MDA Vario IV (HTC touch Pro). have got most of my contact numbers stored without the ISD code ..so typically looks like 07932******. Now when I receive a call it shows the contact name /or pic. But any text message shows only the number and comes up as +447932******. So I changed the contact number to read +447932******. But guess what ? the text display works fine, but the caller ID for incoming call now does not show the contact name..jus the number.. Anybody come across this?
Thanks

[Q] Problem when received SMS (sender number)

I just injected Indonesia Telkom Provider number into my HTC Hero CDMA (previously Sprint)
All setup setup seems are correct, I can make and receive call and also send and receive SMS.
The problem are when received SMS, on the sender number, number "0" changed to character "D", for example 017760540 become D1776D54D.
I can't reply this sms directly before change the number to the correct number.
All problem happened with all type of ROM (Original or Custom).
Anybody can help me on this.
Regards
Samuel

[Q] Contacts with or without country code?

I am on Overcome 1.6.1 and i have this issue with the contacts.
when someone calls me, say John 98765432 his name will appear if i save his contact according as John 98765432. but when he smses me, his name will not appear when i use ChompSms(3rd party sms application), his number with the country code +65 98765432 will appear instead.
if i save his number with the country code, the opposite occurs. when he calls i can't see his name but when he sms i can see his name.
anyone with the same problem?
same issue on htc desire and no proper fix till now!! that's amazing!

[Q] Send SMS upon Call being blocked

Phone: Nexus One
Carrier: ATT
OS: MIUI
So I have been able to find threads about sending SMS upon call hangups or missed calls, and threads about blocking calls. However I need the union of the two.
I want to send a text message whenever a call is blocked saying something like: "call rejected, reason:blacklist. Text me with your name so I can add you to contacts list." I know spammers will never do this, but I also dont want to send this text to my friends every time I miss a call.
So if anyone knows how to use the Tasker app well (maybe to compose an SMS whenever I get a call from someone not in contacts) or the DND settings on MIUI, you would be a true hero.

[Q] Whatsapp transfer

This might not be the right place but I wouldn't know where else to post.
I recently got the new HTC One phone and want to use my old Whatsapp on it. I have a Dutch SIM that I used Whatsapp with while in The Netherlands, but I moved to the US and don't have access to the Dutch network anymore. I used my US SIM in the old phone, but maintained the Dutch Whatsapp.
Now I moved to the new phone and want to use my Whatsapp (with Dutch number). I backed up Whatsapp on my Captivate with Titanium Backup. I then rooted my One and installed Titanium Backup and restored Whatsapp. I start it up and get a message to verify the phone number. I don't have access to the Dutch SIM so I'm forced to verify using my US SIM and thus nullifying the entire process. I might as well have installed Whatsapp straight from the Play Store.
Does anyone have a clue on how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

If you have your Dutch SIM put inside your phone, choose your number and wait, you gonna receive one call from WhatsApp und they gonna send you SMS with activation Code, put 6 digits Code and that"s it.
After registering your Dutch number change the SIM with new one.
P.S. You need internet to do all this
Unfortunately I don't have access to my Dutch SIM. I have it with me here, but I forgot my PIN code....
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
