It won't work and might brick your tab.
1. the rom manager for samsung is eclair only and our tab is on froyo
2. the file system is different and it won't work anyway.

O.K. Thanks for your answers.
So i must wait for a proper RomManager Version.

im running froyo on my captivate with cog beta 7 and i have rom manager so you cannot say rom manager is eclair only for samsung

That is what Rom manager was designed for, you can risk it however you want...

[Q] Will not go past samsung screen, Galaxy tab I/O 10.1

Please help!
I was working on rooting my tab, it looked so easy, and used adb to push the file and adb reboot restore. It just went to boot normally but now it endlessly shows the Samsung animations. I never got to select from the SD card or anything. Now what can I do?
This is the galaxy tab 7" fourm, try asking in the 10.1" one. As for your issue a reflash via odin may work at your own risk (not sure if the limated tab is supported)

I have the same thing, i can only think of flashing the default rom to it again. but i can't find it online anywhere!
Hi
Get your ROM from www.sammobile.com (if I remember correctly) it was www.samfirmwares.com and then flash it using Odin.
I found some guidelines on xda and my GT is live again

GT-S5570I Soft Brick

Hi guys. I know this is my first post and thread, but I used Google and searched in this forum for hours and I can't find a solution.
My device is a SGM GT-S5570I, it had gingerbread 2.3.6.
It was rooted with a universal root I found at this forum.
Right after that, I downloaded this: cm_tass-galaxyics-10062012 from galaxyics.com, I think it's CyanogenMod for S5570 (NOT COMPATIBLE!)
I started in normal Recovery mode and updated from sd card that file.
The problem is that I did not make a recovery and I didn't install ClockWorKRecovery, and now the phone always boots in Recovery mode, popping up an error: Can't find /system.
I think I soft-bricked it, right? Is there a way to fix it without a recovery? ODIN does not detect it, I installed both a manual version of the drivers (installation shows an error during proccess) and Samsung Kies, and none of them makes the PC detect the device.
Also I found it impossible to find firmware for S5570I (I find lots of firmwares and stuff for S5570, but I'm sure it won't work.)
Another thing I'd like to say is that I watched lots of videos at youtube of galaxy mini's and they show a different image at the boot than mine, they have something like "Galaxy pop/plus" and mine just shows "Galaxy Mini GTS5570I".
I can provide more info if asked, just don't know what more to say.
Thank you for your time, and excuse me for my annoying English!

Galaxy Tab P1000 stuck on Samsung logo

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 3G + WiFi that I manually upgraded from Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3.6 with the files from the sammobile site and Odin. Everything went well, but when I try to startup the device, it stays stuck on the flashing Samsung logo. After a while the logo dissapears for less than a second only to popup right back. Deleting the cache in the recovery menu didn't work. What should I do?
Restock again.
This time use overcome method. Follow my signature.

For a clean install and root, flash XXJVU ROM and its CF_root, as it is easy and problem free. I never had any problem with JVU
The whole procedure is given below
FLASHING JVU ROM WITH ODIN v1.85:
1. Install USB drivers for i9000 on PC (ignore if already installed) and restart computer to take effect
2. Turn off your phone/remove battery and put it in download mode
by holding VOL DOWN+MENU+POWER
Do you get the Yellow Triangle?..If so
continue..if not do it again...
3. Open odin and after that Plug in Phone with USB Cable To Computer.
4. In ID:COM box it should go yellow and you should see
ADDED in the message box
5. Check Re-Partition option and then Click PIT
button to select: s1_odin_20100xxx.pit file.
6. Click PDA button and select :
CODE_I9000XXJVU_xxxxx.tar
7. Click PHONE button and select:
MODEM_I9000XXJVU_xxxxx.tar
8. Click CSC button and select:
GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVU.tar
9. When you have all the files needed in ODIN,
Click Start and let it Run
10. Once complete you will see S logo on phone
(computer will make a few noises like connect/
disconnecting
11. If Odin is stuck showing no change above yellow turned box for more than 2 minutes, close Odin and repeat steps 3 to 10.
12.Unplug the Cable from Phone
13. Run your phone and choose the language and the other startup options. Run until you get the home screen.
You will see your phone working excellent. Now it's time for rooting
Procedure for rooting:
1. Power Off Phone
2. Download CF-Root kernel first.
Unzip the file to a folder. You
will get the .tar file – CF-Root-
XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS.tar
— inside the extracted folder. DO NOT extract
the .tar file (even if you see it as a zip
file, which it is not). You need to flash
the .tar file using Odin to gain root
access and install the ClockworkMod
Recovery (CWM) alongside. If you’re
getting zimage file, it means you’ve
extracted the .tar file too! — and that’s
not a right thing to do.
3. Boot your phone in Download Mode —
Press and hold volume down+HOME
+POWER keys together.
4. Open Odin now. Connect your phone to PC now. You’ll notice “Added! !” message in the Odin’s message box in the bottom left and the yellow box.
5. On Odin, click the PDA tab and select the .tar file you got in step 2 — CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-
CWM3RFS.tar
6. Make sure “Re-Partition” checkbox is not selected. Leave the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” checkboxes selected.
7. Click the Start button on Odin to flash the CF-Root kernel. After the CF Root is installed, phone will restart automatically. When you see the PASS written in top left box, you can remove the cable.
8. Your phone is rooted now. That surperuser app is there! The CWM app is also there, and
clockworkmod based recovery has
been installed too. Now you enter the custom ROM world without worries. Enjoy!
9. To install any custom ROM, first of all, download the ROM zip file and its g-apps zip file and put them on your internal sd card
10. Now go to recovery. You can go to the recovery by 3 buttons combo:
Turn off your phone/remove battery and put it in recovery mode by holding
VOLUME UP+MENU+POWER
11. You are in recovery now. Click on the "install zip from sd card" option and choose the ROM zip file you want to flash on your phone by navigating by volume up and down buttons and choose by using power button. Click on yes when prompted.
12. When you see "install from SD card complete", install the g-apps zip file.
13. When g-apps installation has been completed, Restart your phone and now enjoy!!!

However it is easy to start from flashing cf root of jpy in your case. You may skip the xxjvu installation steps and directly install the cf root of xxjpy by searching for it. And then all the steps are the same.
All the best

This is absolutely bull****, Odin v.1.85 isn't compatible version with the i9000 !!
Why do you answer unexperienced people and write about the things you don't understand yourself?
Do you desire to brick their phones?
I already warned you few times about spreading wrong info.
Next time I will report you to the moderators.

download the drivers for PC as given in the link in my post above. These drivers work on any windows PC (windows xp, windows 7, Windows 8) except the windows 8.1
Also make sure you are not using windows 8.1
Also, after installing the drivers, restart your PC.
And open Odin before connecting Galaxy S by USB to your PC in download mode. Because Odin only detect if USB is connected after Odin is opened.
Have a happy flashing.

Mate, just do it.
I don't remember if you warned me (consider the case if you had, I simply might had ignored as I don't like the nonsense ) .
I am not a noob and I understand and totally responsible for what I do. I only reply to the stuff to which I am 100% sure. I always flashed Stock ROMs on some i9000 smartphones (more than 8) and in 70% cases I used Odin v1.85 (I have only 1.85 in my pen drive).
You must hold your nerves and keep drinking some fresh juice to keep yourself cool.
I live fearless and at the same time respect xda community and its rules. I have gained a lot from xda community and wanna help newbies (as I was in past ) with the stuff I learnt from here.
And next time think twice while threatening or write such kind of words.
New forum mate @NilsPurmalis, be careful, as @Rohitdahiya seemst to seriously belive to be a great expert and his well-meant advices can put you into troubles.

The latest two compatible Odin versions for i9000 are 1.82 and 1.83. Version 1.85 will sometimes stuck during the flashing. If it stucks during flashing bootloader (happens seldom but happens indeed), your device will be bricked for all times. Use compatible Odin
Rohitdahiya forgot to mention that you must enable USB debugging
Flashing a Gingerbread ROM isn't necessary. Rohitdahiya forgot to mention you that you will lose all your data by doing it
Your baseband is made for scandinavian countries, OXAJVU would work probably, but it is an obsolete step
Backup all your contacts, SMS, call logs and all else
You can easily root your i9000 with SuperOneClick tool, make as very first backup of your EFS folder and after that install CWM recovery, best by flashing a compatible SpeedMod kernel that features CWM v.2.5.1.2
Make nandroid backup of your system
After that you can go for some good custom ROM. For example CM10.2 is fast, has comparably good battery life (but bit worse than Froyo) otherwise is improvement in all else.
I won't response more in this thread, I already sent you all you can wish in my last post.
PS: you wouldn't need to flash the PIT file to change from Froyo to Gingerbread, crap.

I respect the cause you help noobs but at the same time I assume practical knowledge is much important than just reading.
Before replying to your previous comment, I searched a lot and also saw the compatibility list. I9000 was not there in the list but when I read the forums, I never found users reporting incompatibility or any issue.
Also as I mentioned I flashed many SGS many times without any issue.
(IMO the list shows the addition of latest devices of Samsung considering that I may be wrong but i9000 works nice with the version.)
• I never needed to enable USB debugging.
• I apologize for not mentioning about losing the data. I consider the data on internal memory (pics, music, videos etc) will be there but ROM data (apps and their data) will be wiped while installing new ROM.
• I think that oxxjvu will work with your area but optionally you may flash CSC of your region.
Thanks to you all ,didn't use any off you're help ,found simple tutorial and it worked fine
now i'm running cm 10.2
Thanks again
