Just before few minutes i have successfully upgraded my BS. I choose HSPL now my BL is 1.56 Olinex then flashed an blackSTONEhenge™ (WM6.5.3.28238/Manila 2.1) v6.0 rom all the process finished like a charm, now i can't able to Hard reset(Format)
I tried many times by pressing vol up + vol down then then power button at the same time but i cant see any prompt to format, it directly boots up into the os and i checked my volume keys also inside the os both works perfect.
As i used blackSTONEhenge™ there is also no clear storage option under START-SETTINGS-SYSTEM what do i do now?

Curious....why do you want to hard reset?
If you press vol up & vol down and continue to hold these and press power on button once you should be presented with a white screen and blue text. Press vol up again to restore manufacturer default, i.e. hard reset
Alternatively try asking within rom thread for where "clear storage" is located. I personally haven't used this rom so cannot comment, but it should be located somewhere on device
Hold Vol Up + Down and press the power button once (do not continue holding the power button). Continue holding vol up + down and it should get u where u want to go. Worked for me.

It was mentioned to format once or twice in the rom thread,
Thanks for your idea it solved my problem i can able to format now, i was such a noob trying holding even the power button instead of pressing it (very shortly) Once, it was not mentioned in any of the thread i googled.
Yes i searched but no 'clear storage' option in this rom must be fixed in feature.
Glad you got this sorted.
MOD EDIT - Thread closed as solution found

It dose not manual.
download the rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394985
then go into bootloader [looking for how to now] bootloader is tri-colour screen
and run the exe from that download
you should be ok after that
to get to bootloader, try holding volume slider down and then soft-reset, or try up and soft-reset
the bootloader is usually side-of-device button combinations.
if those dont work, try the ront buttons and the reset button
Rory
Did it come with a CD? I think there was a copy of the manual for my Touch on the CD that came with it.

You should use that as a motto.
go to bootloader is:
hold down button and press (red) reset button
Bingo! This is the same as what the manual said. YJ

I found that the manual is wrong. The way to perform a hard reset of the Touch Diamond2 is:
1. With the Touch Diamond2 switched off, press the volume up and down buttons simultaneously.
2. Keeping them pressed, use the stylus to briefly press the red soft reset button (you’ll have to remove the back of the Diamond2 to do this).
3. Release the volume buttons when a message flashes up to say, “This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.”
4. Press the volume up button.
Help me please guys I can not make a hard reset or flash a new ROM with the sd card method. (right volume button and power button). also hard reset doesn't work. (press both silver button and power button).
before always its OK but now i only flash with usb method.
thanks a lot

Are your xperia volume keys working properly because it can be hardware issue....
To hard reset:
When you're holding the silver key buttons press the power button NO MORE THAN A SECOND. Just press it very lightly and it should hard reset your device. Again do not hold the power button when you're holding the silver buttons.

Are you using volume down?
Turn the phone off, hold volume down (and keep holding) then turn the phone on. Make sure it isn't connected to your PC when doing this.
Edit: Does it enter the bootloader correctly when you are using the Rom Update Utility?

At Whirlpool (Australian forum) we recommend using this Generic UK R1A Rom to recover from bad flashes.
Check the recovering from a bad flash section of this page.
If things go wrong we recommend getting your phone completely back to stock and trying everything again from scratch. Then step through to see what is causing the error.

Buzz buddy how i can know what is the version of the bootloader if i can not enter to him??
I try many times. press and hold Right volume key and press de power key. and release power after the vibration. I am tired of the SE logo jaja.
early i try again to load the X1_HardSPL.exe with the pc and i see the three colors screen in the xperia. the screen show a 0.52 thats its OK??
the thing is:
if you want to go into the bootloader you need to press and hold the power button and the volume button down untill you get into the 3coloured screen.
exactly thats is all i want but a can't
all The keys (Volumen, Power, silver keys) Works Fine in Windows Mobile. but i can not make hard reset with the silver keys and button power. or worse i can not enter to the bootloader mode with volume key and power key.
before all its ok but now its like the keys dont work at the start.
to do a hard reset I just keep holding both softkeys and then I press the reset button with the stylus.
try it this way.

Flash another rom using the Rom Update Utility and see if you can get the bootloader to load using the volume down and power buttons. It must be a software problem preventing you from using this key combination.
I can't seem to find how to start the bootloader without the key combination.
It might be worth sending OliNex a PM and asking for advice.

And you are holding volume ''DOWN'' ?
turn the phone OFF.
hold volume down key, while still holding volume down, hold power key...
Continue holding both keys until you get the tri colour SPL screen....
Could be the volume key isn't working as it should, some others have had that problem.
Try using the RUU tool and flashing through USB cable.

Just copy the file inside the archieve to your SD card and then run it from file explorer in the phone, it will restart in bootloader then
Once again, a flashing thread already exists for questions like these. Its even been stickied for quick finding. Why not post in that thread??

Hard Reset (This cannot be performed while the device is connected/charging)

"This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press ?VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel."
Release the TALK/SEND, END and POWER buttons.
Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
(procedure found in Wiki)

IMEI can also be found behind the battery
Are you able to enter bootloader mode (restart the device when holding down the VOL down button)?
If so - load a GSM ROM to the root of your SD card. and name it RHODIMG.nbh instead of ruu_signed.nbh. Then enter bootloadermode. You will have to press the powerbutton to flash the "update", and then soft reset with your stylus after update (or take out your battery).
Hope it sorts out
Hard reset isn't going to do anything if you've put a GSM ROM on your CDMA phone. You should be able to get into the bootloader though, as Novek has said (try pressing "reset" with the Volume Down button held down), then you can re-flash a CDMA ROM.
Hello ..
I am Brazilian and I'm in Spain ... I have a "Motorola Razr I" phone and there was a problem in the android system. I have the version "Jelly Bean" installed.
The unlock pattern has been wrong more than 25 times, causing it to be asked to the Google account and password. I know what my account and my password, but the system does not accept it.
Already tried the recovery and factory options and nothing worked. Does anyone know what can be done? I'm really needing my phone to connect with my relatives in Brazil.
Thank's!

2. The device will enumerate with different BOOT OPTIONS

4. Select Recovery
5. The device will start up with Motorola logo and power up to a little Android man logo with Exclamation mark
6. Press the VOL UP and VOL DOWN Key together at this screen
7. The device will display BLUE Text on a Black background .
8. Use the VOL DOWN Key to scroll DOWN and the POWER Key to SELECT the option desired .
9. In this case , press the VOL DOWN key till the Wipe data / factory reset is selected and press the POWER key to confirm the selection .
10. Use the VOL DOWN key again to select YES - delete all user data and press the POWER key to CONFIRM .
11. The device will then start performing the Factory Data Reset
12. Once the Formatting is complete , press the POWER key to confirm a REBOOT
13. The message rebooting is displayed on the phone.
14. The device will reboot and start the normal power up sequence .
Hope it helps.
If it doesn't work, try to re-flash your OS with RSD Lite
Do as jquesadar has explained
but release the Power button immediately when the phone vibrates. The timing has to be perfect, not even a second too long....
