I was wondering what people are using on their Nexus for a email client for Exchange.
I have tried Touchdown and it just seems to slow
Roadsync doesn't support html on exchange 2003
Moxier mail seems a good package and on the face it seems to support html on exchange 2003 but it doesn't have a trail and isn't cheap.
Any suggestions (must support html on exchange 2003)

In my eyes the most glaring is no "peak times", a schedule of when to sync and when not to

I have to say, I really like this feature in the HTC Sense email. Just wish it had a universal inbox like stock.

No inline forwarding, messages are sent as .eml files, which Android can't read.
No folder syncing, as well as the ability to move messages to specific Outlook folders.
Signatures only on initial messages.
does HTC Sense email have HTML supprot for exchange 2003?
Stock email can't search... huge issue for me.
I like Touchdown. I have not had any speed issues with it. I am running Exchange 2010.
Seems like Touchdown has had a recent upgrade, a lot better than what it was a few months ago.

First of thanks to all you guys for such an amazing forum, I really have learned a great deal from reading the posts.
That said, I'm running WM6 PV3 version on my MDA with push mail enabled from an exchange server (mail2web). I receive mail no problem but am unable to view HTML mail, I thought that was a feature of of WM6? I have a "Get HTML" under Menu/View, but it's grayed out - what gives? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks all!
The Exchange server needs to be running Exchange 2007 for HTML on WM6.

That's what I figured. Thanks for saving me a great deal of aggravation in trying to fix WM6 when the issue is with the Exchange server.

mail2web Exchange Servers
When will you upgrade to Microsoft Exchange 2007?
Answer: mail2web.com is planning to upgrade all customers from our current Exchange 2003 platform to the new Microsoft Exchange 2007 platform, after its release. All customers Business Exchange Professional customers will receive a free upgrade to Outlook 2007. Microsoft Exchange 2007 is expected to be released in early 2007. The timing of this upgrade is still to be determined and is in part dependant on the release date of Exchange 2007.

that's what I got from the support:
First mail:
According to that site and others that have tested WM6 on 4SmartPhone, if you are using a legitimate version of WM6 you get HTML email for ActiveSync. That feature does not require Exchange 2007.

After telling them that this doesn't make sense I got a second mail:
We do not offer Exchange 2007 to our customers yet, and we know that some features of WM6 (like server-side mailbox search) do require Exchange 2007 to work.
However, HTML email does work on WM6 devices when used in conjunction with Exchange 2003 SP2, and that is what the people who reported did, using a normal 4SmartPhone account.

4smartphone
I just tried the 4smartphone Pro service to see if it would work for me on WM6I would love to be able to get my HTML mail but I believe this really is a feature we will need to wait for Exchange 2007 to provide. Does anyone know a way to get HTML mail to work? I am using emoze right now and love the push mail,Calendar, tasks that it pushes through. I dont like leaving my computer on but its on most of the time anyway. If anyone has a better inexpensive solution I would love to hear it. Thanks to all in this forum I am just a big nooooob here and love all this stuff.

I ordered an account from this outfit today
http://www.itsolutionsnow.com
I will let you know how it works out.
I have been using mailstreet but I don't want to wait around for them to upgrade.
http://www.itsolutionsnow.com offers unlimited storage and wireless active sync for only $10 a month USD
Mailstreet is $13 a month for 100meg $4 a month for wireless active sync and $6 a month for an extra 100 meg
I got my new setup instructions very quickly from them and this guy billy was very helpful in setting up some special features for me.
It works great. I love the new outlook web access also. Setup was a snap. From my experience so far I would recomend this company.
Computer9Cowboy are you getting HTML mail through the service? I tried 1and1 and 4smartphone and could not get the HTML part to work on WM6. Please let me know if this works. Thanks,

If you can live without push mail, POP3 already supports html email. It doesnt matter what server you use. I host my own email on a FreeBSD box here at home. I just have WM6 set to check mail every 15 minutes. I personally dont feel the need to know about email the split second it arrives, so POP3 works for me.

Yes indeed ITSolutionsNow has Exchange 2007, I can do HTML Email, I can set flags on messages and I can do server side search from the device. Plus I merged my archive back in to my account because they support unlimited storage. I don't have to worry about staying under my limit or purchasing extra space.

Exchange is more than push email it is contacts and calendar also. If I add new info to a contact in outlook it is on my device in seconds. When I add a new date in my calendar on my device it is on my computer in seconds. The new ability to flag messages from the device is pretty useful also.
On a sidenote I've just heard back from mail2web that they are currently testing Exchange 2007 and that they should be going live with it in the summer.

I understand that. I guess it just all depends on how you are using your device. Those features are a lot more useful for a business environment. I use mine for personal use. As infrequently as I update my calendar and contacts, cable syncing is fine for that, and pop3 is adequate email for my uses.
I do understand the advantages of push mail and contacts/calendar syncing. I have a blackberry 7520 that I use for work, and as the exchange and BES server admin, I could easily setup push mail on my XDA, the only problem is I need use of the direct connect radio in the 7520, so for now I keep the 7520 for work use, and the XDA for personal use.

Yes Mailstreet says they will have it by June.
I have to say that IT Solutions Now is the best deal that I have seen for hosted exchange anywhere, Unlimited storage is huge.

And this is why I'm leaving 4smartphone in 2 weeks when my yearly subscription is expired. I told them that I would like to have HTML email and they told me that they are not deploying 2007 for another 6 months. I'm a reseller for intermedia.net so I'm going to switch over to them.
Using K-9 currently for POP3 email and i dont care much for it nor do I like the stock email program. Can anyone suggest any others?

Do you use/like GMail? Cos you could always put your POP3 info into GMail and read it from your GMail app.

Gmail uses labels /filters.
It takes a few minutes to understand but once you do it obliterates antiquated folder usage.
Id highly suggest sync your email via Gmail. You can have it send mail that looks as if it originates from your original mail account.
I wasnt crazy about it but now most emails come in are automatically labeled and filed without any work from my end.
New emails that need filing can be done easily. Deleting just as easy as anything else.
Plus Gmail has instant notification. No need to set up push or hourly checks.
Looks like the next CM update will be adding Luccys BetterBrowser enhancements. So I will use Steel until then....thanks.
I tried the gmail thing before. Looks like i will be giving it another go. Just sux that there isnt a good email app available.
Does anyone know if the issue with forwarding emails had been corrected with the stock email client? Problem that I'm referring to was that anytime you forwarded an email, it would attach it as a .eml file, which a lot of corporate firewalls end up blocking that file type. Only thing that I've read is that the update addresses some of the security vulnerabilities that it had previously, but doesn't really go into specifics.
Thanks in advance!

emails still forward as .eml. I just hit reply then change the send to field. Been doing that for years because of the way the Fuze handled email.
That stinks... yeah i've tried doing the reply as well, but got frustrating when you're trying to forward something that included an attachment.
Thanks again for the response!
Also how to move email to other folders?
Mine still blocks forwarded mail.

Not sure... Never tried to move an email to another folder using the stock client. I gave up and decided to use touchdown for my exchange email... Works great.

You have to be on > Exchange 2003. If you are connecting to an Exchange 2003 server Touchdown or Moxier are your best bets (having used both I'd reccomend Touchdown over Moxier personally).

Hi...
I am using cloudmagic for few months... Tried many but fully satisfied with Cloudmagic...... Create an account in cloudmagic... then configure all your accounts...... If you flash roms and once you install cloudmagic afresh, just log in with cloudmagic account and you will have all your pre configured emails ready including exchange accounts.....

Nine - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ninefolders.hd3.
Using it for half a year already - awesome app. Installed Inbox and removed Gmail with Exchange Services from the phone completely.
Has trial period afaik.
I use Nine is a very good App!

Another vote for Nine. It's genuinely one of the best email clients I've ever used. Far better than any other Exchange integration.
Nine.
nine is the best excange email app.

Nine! Definitely worth the money!
Nine. It's awesome.
Outlook Beta/Mailwise
I have been using outlook beta from play store. Love it because it skips encryption or forced pin usage from the exchange server. Also MailWise is excellent. Also has option to skip encryption or forced PIN if you enable it. No root necessary.
Outlook Download: taps.io/outlookmobile
Mailwise Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.syntomo.email
Another vote for Nine! Switched a number of users at work over to that app. With the new Outlook beta...if only it had mark as read from the dropdown notification menu like Nine, I'd probably switch to that. (it's a really nice app!)

It does not sync with calendar
I feel Nine is the best apps so far. Only thinking whether I should buy it or not.
Just to use the mail App I moved to MIUI, which is having good mail app.
I do not understand why Google is not making a good app with their build. Google mail app/stock does not show pictures in mail rather it show it as attachment.
I mean if anyone sending picture pasted in mail text space, then it comes as attachment.
My previous phone was Samsung and really like the mail application. I used Huawei phone same experience, mail application is good. Only for Oneplus one where I have to use CM or CM flavour ROM which does not have a good mail application. I have even tried in recent lollipop builds, all mail apps having same issue. Picture comes as attachment.
