I watched a video on youtube where a guy had a scene from the Iron Man movie as his boot screen on the nexus one. So, I decided to make me a animated boot screen. My question is can I make a .wmv my bootanimation, and if so then how. I've seen the bootanimations posted on this site, I just want something unique. I've had custom boot screens on both of my G1's and customized my recovery image, so I know how to do it for the G1, but I want to put my movie clip on my nexus as the bootanimation. Please some real advise, no theories.
Search. There is PLENTY of information here about how to do it and what needs to be done.

Obviously I'm not finding it, and obviously you don't know. I did'nt just join this forum. This the first time I ever asked for help, for some smuck to tell me search, who could've at least posted a link to the thread. I should've put no comments from smartasses either.
bootanimation.zip contains a sequence of PNG files. No .WMV or anything else.
Found in /system/media, or sometimes in /data/media.

Along the same lines.
I'm sure Google will help you with the missing bits.

Thanks a bunch though, but I already been to both places, before I posted thread, I was trying to avoid creating a bunch of png's, very time consuming, and figured I'd simplify the process. What I should've asked was can I convert wmv file into a series of png files, and if so what tool do I need. Dude had a cut from Iron Man, so I know it can be done, I just need somebody who's done it to view this thread.
Use some type of video editing program to split it into separate png files.
You could use a video editing program to export the WMV clip you have into a sequence of PNGs.
Try VirtualDub. It's free.

I have an icon pack that I like very much, and I've created about 35 new icons using the OP's original concept and backdrop.
The problem is I don't remember who the OP was and so can't obtain permission to post the ones I have. Can someone take a look at the attached icons. If you recognize them and can't point me to the original designer, I'll send him the new ones to include in the pack... if he wants. The only clue I have is they were all in a zip file named "BlackIcons72x72".
Thanks!
Did a quick search on google for "BlackIcons72x72.zip" and look what I found

Thanks! I wasted a lot of time doing searches here on XDA. I don't remember going to the other sure, but there you are I just needed to expand my mind!
Hi all,
I've searched all around the net (and XDA off course), but I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone have a Snow Leopard folder icon (icns) with an embossed Android logo?
Or is anyone here grafically gifted enough to create such thing? I really suck at graphical design, so hopefully anyone in here is willing to give it a try. I'll buy the best one a cup of coffee (or a beer if you prefer that over coffee...)
I've attached a plain folder icon and an example of the Snow Leopard Downloads folder, to show the embossing effect. I'd really like at least the Android robot to show embossed in the folder, the text "Android" is less relevant (but would be cool, if the robot doesn't get too small). Can anyone help me out?
Thanks for your trouble.
Edit Co-member Jumba created a beautiful folder icon, with can be found in post #19. The result can be found in post #20.
Jumba, thanks again!
Sincerely,
Mac

I wish I had your skills, at least if it comes to Ps
I've replaced the generic icon for the folder with your icon, but for some reason it doesn't match the rest of them. See screenshots attached. The difference is best seen in the first screenshot (list view). Could it be you used a different template? Or did I provide the wrong template?
Sincerely,
Mac

Hmmm, not sure... I tried to match the icon stye to the reference you posted, but sometimes a simple difference in line thickness doesn't translate so well when reducing the icon size. I also used an online converter to convert from .png to .icns, so maybe that blurred the output slightly. The top edge of the folder doesn't look quite like the others, so maybe the template wasn't exactly correct. I can make the lines a bit thicker, but I'm not sure what's up with the folder...

Hi Jumba,
Thanks for your effort, again.
I think I know what's 'wrong'.... If I open the generic folder icon, there's multiple icons inside (like in yours), but the smallest icon has a different folder layout. See screenshot attached. Could you edit the generic folder with the logo, to retain the difference between the large and smallest size? I hope I'm not asking to much of you...
The first edition is my favourite, as all folder icons have the graphic center aligned...
Sincerely,
Mac

That's what I have been using. The only problem is that it only accepts one file, then builds the other sizes itself. I need the ability to inject different sizes into the file, but no worries, I think I have a solution...

Almost there... It looks a lot better (it's nearly perfect), so thank you again for your time and effort . One small request (hopefully)... (and please let me buy you a cup of coffee, as I highly appreciate the trouble you've taken!)
It's only the smallest size which is different now. I've made two screenshots, from your icon and the generic folder icon, both zoomed in at the same level. Would it be possible to give your icon the same 'border' as the generic one? That way it will blend in with the rest of them (see last screenshot).
Thanks again!
Mac
It's a pleasure, thanks are reward enough. Here's one with the small icon fixed.
Edit: The icon is a blank folder for now. Let me find a small android icon...
Since Jumba is being such a good sport I can suggest donating to the XDA crew as they both deserve and need it.
I'm loving both your work and attitude!

Something like this:

or

or the icon attached...?
Could that help?

Quite a few ppl have asked me how to batch edit .9 png images to very effectively batch edit a theme together within a few hours so this commentary is for you guys, this video is also going to be linked in Annex1's Magazine titled How To Theme Android 4.2.1 CM10.1 he is doing for the XDA University. Sorry about some of the commentary, I was a bit nervous when making this because this was the 1st video I have ever commentated on but I hope you guys get the information you are looking for.
