[Q] Camera saving photos problem - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, first thing's first, I did search for half an hour and didn't find anything simmilar to my problem.
X1, I run latest official ROM, only thing I have installed non stock is core player (had batti but uninstalled it)
Lately more then before, every other time this happens.
I take a photo, and than it says "Saving" on the screen for like 3-4 minutes, after that when I go to check out that photo it is usually like half saved and half is gray.
Any ideas what might be causing this? It doesn't happen with videos, at least still didn't. And it.. well I can say always happens when I want to take a photo of something on the monitor (computer screen).

Slow clock?

I got a Tilt with HTC wm6.1 rom and the clocks reaction time to the screen turning on is slow. Like, I turn on the screen and it shows the last time i checked, and takes about .5 - 1 second to show the correct current time. I know that doesnt seem slow but i like to check the time fast by turning the screen on and off. I searched the forums but couldnt find anything on it, or maybe im blind.
It even did this when i used the HTC home on the att wm6 rom.
Is there a fix for this? or is it an issue related with the slow GPU?
I have it. I also wait for the time its not an anoyance, just dont be so impatient

Im not exactly sure what clock you are refering to, but the reactiontime overal can be app. related. Meaning you have installed something that slows down youre system. Do a pim or full spb backup and hard reset and see if its still laggy. If its okey restore youre sms, contacts and so on you backed whit pim and start installing every app you want one by one soft reseting and test every time. That way you can short down to the application/software/program that slows youre device/clock down.

it was even slow when i first flashed the rom, fresh and new.
lol, yeah i guess i gotta wait .5 seconds more. hahaha
yes its slow
its slow for me too,
using a tytn II radio 1.65.17.56 with 6.1 official and the clock runs slow.
Its gets slower around 4-5 minutes within 4-5 days.
Cant reslove.
annoys me too. Turn the phone on, it displays the time from whenever i last looked. Have to wait a split second, which sounds silly, but it shouln't have to refresh like that!
I think it's all part of the same slow refresh problems on this phone.
When the phone is off its processor isn't running. When you turn it on, the OS will first have to do a short initialization, then will send a signal to each running program to tell it it has just woken up. The clock app will respond to that by fetching the current time and displaying it, which will take a split second. The time may well depend on the number of running apps as each is sent the signal in turn and will take some time to do its related task. If there are 10 apps before the clock one gets notified it will be longer.
Doesn't bother me at all, it's not nearly as annoying than on the Hermes where the screen itself would take that 0.5-1s to turn on after a press on the power button...

Not playing audio/video files

So since Rogers updated us to froyo (yes this is the canadian i896 model) I've been having the problem lately where it just won't play media files anymore.
I'll notice this when I go to watch a youtube video and it'll say "problem playing touch to retry", then I'll go try to play an mp3 and it'll say "cannot support this file type", so I'll check a video and get the same. The pisser is that it won't play notification sounds or ringtones either as it seems to be all connected.
Now these are files that played fine only some time ago, so I dont' know what caused it to stop being able to play.
If I power down / power up the phone things are back to being copacetic. Just a pain as it takes about a minute to power down, and then at least a minute to boot back up.
Samsung suggested i just reset the whole phone - which I'm not enthused to lose a lot of data (some of my programs just don't allow backups).
I've taken the scientific approach and run each of my programs one at a time with after running it, checking it with with a media player to see if it'd stop working. nothing.
I've deleted/uninstalled a lot of programs to ensure it was running on only what i truly wanted. nothing
I just don't want to reset my phone - that would suck.
It just seems to happen at random. Literally I watched a video, put the phone down, went to bed, woke up the next morning and it didn't play. Now who know s what background apps were going on... but how can I control that..
any help/suggestions?
I have the same phone with the same issue
I have a new theory-
I noticed that it happens after I get a notification that my battery is full.
It sounds silly but it's the only thing I noticed that affects it.
I'll keep on testing..
heard the official twitter app causes some issues - uninstall it to fix
i uninstalled - so we'll see if it fixes

wireless radio crash on wake up

if you look at the picture you'll notice that almost every time i wake up my phone the radio just stops working. i also noticed that this happens when i watch videos on mxplayer for about 5-10 minutes using H/W+ decoder. whenever this happens i lose connection and then it returns after about 30 seconds or so but makes my display "blink" and the apps that are currently active kind of restart themselves.
in my previous phone i had a similar problem but it was more "random" and mostly when i used firefox for long periods of time but on this one it happens way too often for me to just let it slide
how can i provide more information to get help on this? is this a common occurrence for others too? im using CM11 M12 but it seems like this also happens on stock.. guessing its not rom related then. i flashed radios from older xml's and the problem was still there is it possible that it might be my sim? can it simply be my device?

Third N910T replacement; something stealing app focus

I'm about to receive my third warranty replacement for the numerous problems I had with my Note4. Most of the problems are fixable (camera, GPS, etc), but one problem is bad and I don't see a simple solution.
Something seems to be intermittently stealing the focus from my app (I believe). So, if I'm watching YouTube, it randomly pauses because it thinks I've switched apps. If I'm recording video, it randomly stops, because it thinks I've switched apps. If I'm playing a video game, it pauses while I'm playing until 'I return'. If I go to the app-switcher, sometimes it closes randomly before I select which running app to switch to.
I actually bought a new SD card (64GB wasn't really doing it for me, anymore, anyways) but the problem persists. The phone does seem better behaved before all my apps repopulate (although there's not much to do on the phone before the apps are back), so I suspect it's an app, but I haven't heard anything about this sort of problem on any website or forum.
Lastly, the problem may have started around the time of the StageFright patch in August, but a lot of apps also updated around that time.
I'm stock 5.0.1 without root (maybe in the future), although I always disable T-Mobile bloatware like DT_Ignite. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks - And sorry for the late reply (I don't remember getting a notification about a reply). I'll try your suggestion if the problem comes back.
It appears to be a problem with the Samsung Techwin app for their video cameras. For others, the app would just randomly pop-up during phone use, making the problem easier to diagnose. For me, it would just steal focus.
I uninstalled the app & things are back to normal.

Very cool you found what was giving the problem. I'll remember this fix as well, another tool in the toolbox!

[ZVC][BUG] No Recent Apps in Overview.

After using the phone for a while without a reboot (about a few hours or so) the 'Recent Apps' page will not show any of the apps I have had open recently and even the ones I have pinned. A reboot will fix the issue, until it seemingly randomly appears again. I do not know of any other fix, but I will update if I find one. I am curious if anyone else has experienced this as well. I forgot to grab a screenshot the last time it did this a few hours ago, so I will put one up along with a short screen capture when it happens again. (I pulled the battery as I could not be bothered to work around it as I was busy.)
