After using the phone for a while without a reboot (about a few hours or so) the 'Recent Apps' page will not show any of the apps I have had open recently and even the ones I have pinned. A reboot will fix the issue, until it seemingly randomly appears again. I do not know of any other fix, but I will update if I find one. I am curious if anyone else has experienced this as well. I forgot to grab a screenshot the last time it did this a few hours ago, so I will put one up along with a short screen capture when it happens again. (I pulled the battery as I could not be bothered to work around it as I was busy.)

This is one I havent encountered before but apologies if its been reported already. I couldnt find an obvious thread.
I have noticed recently that my Kaiser is not keeping time - quite dramatically so!
When I turn my device on from standby, the clock is often 20, 30 mins or even hours behind.
I have tweaked the hell out of it recently so I am quite sure it is related to something ive done as it hasnt happened on previous builds.
I am using synchrotime almost everytime i turn it on just to make sure the clock is right (hope this doesnt clock up too much data :-( ).
Anyway just wondered if anyone else had come across this?
Try turning the auto time setting in the phone settings to OFF, early on we found this to cause random time problems as well as causing active sync to run all the time.
Thanks. I'll give it a go.
Mine did that last night - 40 minutes slow. Never had that problem since i first got it a couple of months ago. Once it got coverage again, it syn'd back up.
Did that fix your issue?
I've got another interesting one. My clocks are right, but my text-messages show as an hour ahead (received one at 3pm PST and it shows as 4pm PST in the list). I do have the 2007DST patch from Microsoft and everything else is configured right. Is there another setting somewhere for txt-msgs?
this happens for me too. i dont no what is causing the delay. when i have my phone on device lock, whatever time it was when i locked it, it stays like that until i unlock. i noticed it recently, almost missed an appointment because of it!
tried turning off that auto time thing that dont have any effect.
worked perfectly thanks
Hi, first thing's first, I did search for half an hour and didn't find anything simmilar to my problem.
X1, I run latest official ROM, only thing I have installed non stock is core player (had batti but uninstalled it)
Lately more then before, every other time this happens.
I take a photo, and than it says "Saving" on the screen for like 3-4 minutes, after that when I go to check out that photo it is usually like half saved and half is gray.
Any ideas what might be causing this? It doesn't happen with videos, at least still didn't. And it.. well I can say always happens when I want to take a photo of something on the monitor (computer screen).
So this was happening before but I factory reset my phone and now after about a week and a half it's happening again;
everytime i either go back to the previous screen, or while i'm on a loading screen (noticed it a lot with Netflix) but i get these green pixely squares that flash on my screen... this a known issue with the version? or should i take my phone back?
I'm not really sure how to better describe it...
Have yet to experience that, had my unit for over 2 weeks.
Take it back.

I have the same problem with mine had it since it came out?

I've had the same issue. Started happening within 2 weeks, but more recently it hasn't happened much. A battery pull always fixed it for me. I'm experiencing random reboots when the phone hasn't been touched for ten minutes, this is more disconcerting to me
I haven't noticed it after a reboot for a couple days now...
But i do remember almost directly after it first happened (before i did the factory reset) my phone started doing the whole random reboots too. That's when i read the post about fixing the camera and not using the assistant backup/restore functionality when you activate the account...
I thought it had fixed all the issues but seems they're still there just, less sever...
Rebooting the phone (temporarily) fixes the issue for me

I swear, after using the camera this happens. Until I reboot I get some kind of green checkerboard whenever the screen rotates or changes
Same here. Every time I use the camera and sleep the phone it will get hot and drain the battery. Waking the phone gives me green pixellated images and serious slowness. Battery pull after taking pictures is the only way to mitigate it...for now.

So this seems to be a common issue... has anyone been able to talk to motorola? is there an update coming out anytime soon to get it fixed? or is it just a hand full of bad phones?
smc, have you still not experienced any of these issues?
can you try seeing if it might happen after some of these scenarios listed in this thread? would be greatly appreciated!
Yesterday a toast I guess you would call it because it's not the normal gray color started showing up quite frequently on my phone. I haven't made any changes or installed new apps recently with the exception of about 8 malware scanners. I installed one at a time scanned then uninstalled. I'm at a loss for what could be causing this and how to fix it. I tried resetting the app preferences regarding draw over other apps but the problem persists. I Googled it with no results so I put it in quotes for a more specific search and it turned up absolutely zero. It troubles me to ever have in there but even more so that it's one I haven't seen before. I included a screenshot because sometimes it pops up multiple times in a row back to back so it was easy to capture. I'm hoping somebody has at least saw this before. I'm on Android 7.1.1 unrooted unlocked Note 8. Any help or ideas is appreciated.
Nobody has even seen this before? I turned off every single thing on the draw over other apps section of settings including system apps and it still keeps popping up.
Try booting in safe mode to see if it still happens
I am finding that my apps that send notifications, specifically that I send through LIghtflow, are either not notifying, or doing so 30 min. to an hour late.
I am also finding that installing as well as uninstalling apps are quite slow.
POwer saver is not on; battery optimization is not on for the offending apps; they are set to run in the background.
Anyone else experiencing this? Or any suggestions?
Regarding the slow downloads, I am finding the download finishes (according to the status bars, etc), but it then goes into a state of Install Pending. Can't find anything on that.
For anyone who cares, I have it resolved for the time being.
After 2 factory resets, I remembered back to the days i used to root my phones, and remembered that one strongly recommended task in that process was to delete cache.
So I did a final factory reset and deleted the cache also and all seems to be good.
When this crops up again I will try the cache delete w/o a factory reset and see how it goes.
Not getting much help here but I'll keep this thread upgraded.
It is again not working right. Lightroom is either not notifying or it's doing it 30 minutes late.
Play store downloads but then doesn't install for a period of time.
I'm beginning to think something is wrong with the phone.
This thing is driving me nuts. Following is what's going on, and have seen:
I've gone through 4 factory resets. All works find at first. Having decided that maybe there is an app interfering, I installed an app or two, tested, repeat...with delays between repeats. All seems fine.
But then late into the second day, w/o any installs, I goes haywire again. Symptoms are:
I use DGT GTD for my ToDo list. First thing I will notice is that when I add a new task, it will NOT show up in the widget list, and at the same time it stops notifications.
All apps stop sending notifications to Lightflow...or LIghtflow does not recognize the notifications. Not sure which is the case.
When add a new app on the Play Store, it downloads as quick as normal, but then it takes forever to install.
I installed AVAST, and checked for viruses. Came back clean.
I suspect it could be a phone problem. My Mate 9 works fine right now, with all the same apps. But, when a factory reset results in it working (at least during the short time a tech would evaluate), the phone can't be exchanged.
If anyone has any thoughts. I'm all ears. I'll keep posting, hopefully, ultimately, with a resolution. Maybe it'll help someone.
