Yep, that was raised in another thread.
We need a FAQ.
Or is there a wikki?

Yes, I managed to get the PTT button removed. Got me two new buttons now, but the ones I want to use I cant configure.
I am trying to get the Voice Speed Dial assigned to button 6, but for some reason the program is not listed in my Assign a program menu?
Simple fix for this, I have spent four hours looking through the forums, google and every other page on the net that has anything to do with this stupid phone.
If you know a fix for it please post it, don't post a search here or go here link...
from the windows mobile 101 handbook...
generally, any program that has a shortcut in your Start->Programs listing will be listed in the available programs to map to buttons.
simple answer is to first make sure the Voice Speel Dial is available from Start->Programs. if the link is missing there, make a shortcut to Voice Speed Dial manually and drop it in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. then, assuming you are using Settings->Personal->Buttons to manage your button mappings, it should show up so that you can map it to a button.
these are basics really, so i will still suggest more reading and searching even if you have specifically asked otherwise.
good luck!
Is there anyways to improve it? Too many times what im searching for on the phone doesnt come up, even when its the only thing on the phone with those search terms! How does search on the phone work? Is there an app that can improve the way search works?
if you press 'go' (the arrow button) it searches the web, otherwise it searches your phone.
Go to your Settings select Search. In Searchable Items, select everything you want your phone to search through, Apps, Music, Contacts, etc. This should open up the search function to the rest of your phone.
Hope this helps.
Its not that it wont search, its that the seartch results are bad. For instance, when in the music player, ill search for a song called 'reset'. All the search results that it pulls up dont have the word 'reset' in the filename, song title, artist etc. I can put in VERY specific terms and it will either not bring anything up or bring up results that have nothing to do with the terms.
Are you holding it in your left hand?
I don't know all of the appropriate inernet lingo (LOLROFMLFYMBITCH or whatever), but this makes me laugh:

player911 FTW.
And yes, I intentionally spelled "internet" without the first "t" above.
Does market search exist?
I searched all around, but this feature must be missing. To me, this is a big deal.

Click the search button when you're in the Marketplace..... lol
yes when you are in Zune software (on PC) there is a search box at top right hand corner.
When in the Market Place through the phone there does not appear to be a search feature.

Open the Marketplace on your phone, and hit the dedicated Search button.
The Search button is context sensitive. So if you hit it in certain situations, it will bring up search options specific to what you are doing on your phone.
If you are in the People hub = it will search through people
If you are in Outlook = it will search through your e-mail
If you are in the Marketplace = it will search through all Marketplace items
yep... that works !
Ok I hope the title says it all but just to clarify I'm trying to see if it's possible to either disable or modify the "did you mean..." help tip of the Voice Search after a recognized voice search. Meaning once I long-press the search button to activate Voice Search, (eg. I search for a picture of the Eiffel Tower) I get the results. But when I close the browser the "help tip" or rather "did you mean..." is still displayed on my home screen, so then I have to hit cancel. It's a great feature when it doesn't recognize what I said, just don't like to press cancel every time.
It's the little things that get annoying
Mine doesn't do that (just tested) if it recognises the term, it goes straight to the Google search page with the results, and when I close it, I'm just back to the home screen.
If it doesn't recognise the term, I get the 'did you mean' box, which goes away when I tap on what I want.
I have noticed this occasionally. I do have the personalized recognition turned on. Its odd when it does it, I have to hit back a couple times after I was in something that I looked up and there it will be buried under a couple other programs or windows i had opened.
Seems like it does that when I say "listen to something something" it launches Pandora. Then when I close it that I see that help tip there. Yeah I guess it doesn't give you suggestions when you do a simple search or something.
Thanks for the replies
