Hi to everyone. I would be glad if someone could give me some hints about the firmware upgrading on samsung galaxy s via Odin. I jist bought this device and then discovered that is branded by vodafone. I'd like to upgrade it to stock froyo...are there particular informations i have to save or any particular procedure i have to follow? The phone is rooted and i have done a backup with titanium.
Thanks

I have heard people say that z4root doesn't work for 2.1 ?
I am trying to figure out the best way to root my phone without losing anything - I am in Canada using the i9000m
Please help - sorry for the newb question
z4root doesn't for UGJK4 wish is froyo but i'm pretty sure it works on 2.1
Give it a try, it wont make you lose anything if it doesn't work.

Here's the stock firmware. I can confirm it works perfect. Just follow the directions.

EA24 is 2.2 isn't it?
Yes, but you want it to be working again don't you... This will get you up and running again so you can then try to upgrade to 2.3.3 again. You might need to check your bootloaders aren't locked though. Not sure as I don't have a CDMA tab.
I put thw stock.rom back on and unrooted my tab and it updated ota to 2.3 gingerbread ..

Hi there,
I'm running stock 2.3.5 jvt on galaxy s but wanted too root it. Is there a way of doing it without a computer as I don't have access to one any time soon.
I remember using z4root when I had version 2.2 but I'm not sure if that will work with 2.3.5.
Thanks in advance

You can try the following gingerbread. Try to search and hope it works for latest firmware. I have tried this long time ago when I used JVK..
