Hi,
I'm new with Android,
I have upgrade my Samsung to Froyo 2.2 and since then I can't find, how I can change the mode to PC Studio
I don't have the option in > Settings -> Applications -> USB Settings -> Select Kies mode.
Where can I find the USB Settings in Froyo 2.2
Thanks
I'm actually looking for the same thing...
If someone knows, we'd appreciate it.
Found it
Settings > Wireless and network > USB settings!

My USB has no issues when I'm in Stock 2.2 and 2.3.3 ROMs until I flash a deodexed 2.3.3. I have to frequently change ports with my Windows XP to get the USB Mount option. Previously I was able to connect to Macbook with no issue. After flashing with deodexed, Macbook does not read my USB at all. All my USB cable did was charging my phone.
Well, I know it shouldn't really matter but you could try switching the USB mode by going into Settings >> Wireless and Networks >> USB Settings >> Mass Storage.
You can also make sure your USB debugging is turned off by going into Settings >> Applications >> Development and untick "USB Debugging"
Hi.
I just upgraded my sisters custom 2.2 ROM to a custom 2.3.4 with the 2.3 samsung apps. For some reason, samsung have now replaced Androids USB Mounting tool with some kies MTP only mounting app thing.
We only use Gnu/Linux on our machines, the MTP protocol is not my most faverit thing, and applications like kies is not either.
Is there anyway to get the regular mounting tool back? Otherwise does anyone know what this app is called in the system app folder so that I can at least remove it, and install MultiMount from the marked instead, without having this kies app pup op every time a plug-in a usb cable?
Go to Settings > Wireless and networks > USB settings > And select 'Ask on Connection'
That will stop the kies MTP thingy when you attach the USB Cable
Tanks, that helped
Thanks!
Thank you! That advice helped me too. I thought I'd looked at every option there was in Wireless & Networks, but I missed the obvious one!
Kies was annoying me, thanks for the advice

There is no PC sync for AOSP Android cuz AOSP android isnt HTC firmware and therefore no HTC sync......
And to enable USB Debugging, u go to about phone, go all the way down, and click last box 7 times. And for this, not to be rude, but there is a reason why search engines were made...

Maybe you can try the tip below:
1. For Android 4.2 or newer: Enter "Settings > About Phone > Build number" for several times until you get a note saying that "You are under developer mode". Then, go back to "Settings > Developer options > USB debugging".
2. For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter "Settings > Developer option > USB debugging"
3. For Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter "Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging".
