[Q] scratches on glossy black - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed that I seem to be getting a lot of scratches on the front of my phone specifically on the black glossy parts right above and below the screen. Anyone have any ideas on how to get these off?

[Q] Imprinted Markings on the Screen

Hi All,
When I bought the phone it was enveloped with a sticking transparent cover (as the ones you find on new phones, at least here) and the sticker on the screen has the samsung logo and Wifi/GPS and stuff like that written on it. The thing is, when open the market or scroll down the notification, I can see the residue of those words and markings imprinted, granted it is hard to spot but very annoying.
I have been trying to capture a photo with my camera but didn't succeed so far. Anyone had this problem before? or any ideas? is it a permanent damage to the screen or those are residues that can be removed?
Haven't noticed anything like that, but I suggest you try to clean your screen.
For cleaning I used a PC LCD screen cleaning solution, spraying it on a soft, clean paper towel and rubbing the screen lightly with it, taking care not to let any liquid in the phone speaker holes or the home button. Afterwards wipe the liquid with a clean, soft, dry paper towel. Makes my screen shiny and clean as new.
If cleaning doesn't work, I suggest you get it replaced.
Ok I've managed to finally take a picture that shows what I am talking about. The white note shows the exact covers that was on my phone.
Notice the HD Amoled and the circle around it? that's the one I can still see when the screen is showing colors same as the one in the picture. I can also see (but couldn't take picture of) the words GPS, the Wifi logo and a circle (android logo) in the bottom.
any ideas? is that permanent? is there a way to remove it? people don't notice it on my phone, but since I know it is there, it's becoming more and more annoying
I didn't have those stickers on my phone...

I'm having the same problem. Did you get this fixed?

[Q] white mist

I have a HTC Droid incredible 2 & I have noticed white dots/mist on the bottom of my screen. Does anyone know the reason why & tell me if there is a way to fix this?
That's dust underneath the screen. I have a little in my phone as well in the same location. There's no fix for it.
Same here, dust under the screen...

[Q] Problem with Ambient display notification after screen protector installed

Started noticing the ambient notification (when you pickup the phone the screen supposedly emit the black/white display) is gone, right after I'd installed one of those eBay tempered glass screen protector.
The cutout of the glass, I do not think it obstruct either the camera lens or anything else.
Anyone have this problem? If so, how to remedy this issue (without having me take off the protector...lol). Thx.

You will need a different screen protector - one that does not cover the sensor.
Before you do that, you can try the suggestion at this link to see if it helps

I might be able to use a syringe or something if I had the right material to stop the light
does anyone have any advice for fixing backlight through frame on the htc m7
maybe better glue - something black color
i dont know
i can probably get some one to put another glass on it but I would like to know what type of adhesive will block the backlight from coming out the frame again

mi 9 lite layer of mist on screen?

When I am looking at the screen under strong lighting, the colors seems to look a bit washed out, there seems to be a layer of dirt under the screen. I tried to clean the screen but nothing works. I also tried various display settings but there colors also seem to be a bit off.
Anyone have a similar problem?
Also the screen seems like it is not black when it is black. It's like a bit grey
