Hey guys, my text messages are sometimes being sent to the wrong person even though I am choosing the correct person. When I send it the name automatically changes to a different person. This happens randomly.
I am running Cognition 2.2 9.1.3
With 238 posts I'm sure you know this does not belong in the development section.

With 181 posts I'm sure you can't do anything but critique people for posting in the wrong section. Yeah he posted in the wrong section, and he should know, but if you are going to post a reply at least try to help. Anyways, are you on FroYo? I had the problem a bit before, only on old versions of Cognition though. Can you please post your set-up?

Since I am bored beyond wits, and was inspired by WPBears quotes at the end of his signature, I would like to hear the stupidest, most outlandish, jaw dropping, 'How could you be THAT stupid' questions you have ever read, answered, or posted on XDA...
mine isn't great, but it would have to be..
'If I SIM unlock my wizard, can I switch over to Sprint?'
i'd answered too many posts not to have to surpress most of the silly ones
but vaguely recall people asking for how to do tasks which were clearly something one just clicked on of the things present on the normal today screen menu
Hmmm... I'm sort of loathe to get involved because I'll probably find somebody's choice for stupid question is one of mine...
Al the same, it's got to be the person on the folowing thread I guess.
It wasn't the content of the question, it was that he followed this opening comment:

Thanks for the edit, Mike. Genuinely meant to just retype myself the last bit, not actually use Quote function with name on, when I began that. My ineptitude knows no bounds...
Took the link off now too.
And I DO still expect to find one my own posts being quoted here.
Hi,
I installed Dutty's latest 3.9 ROM a couple of days ago and now I am only being notified of roughly 1/3 of the text messages I receive. ie, for 2/3 of the text messages I receive my phone does not vibration or play a ringtone. Anybody else experiencing this?
Cheers, Jamie Kitson

Please post in Dutty's 3.9 ROM thread. If every one of the few 1000 posts relating dutty's ROMs was a new thread, this forum would be a real mess.

Hi, I was wondering if there was an im application that is native to the cyanide mod? I find it a very degrading experience with a rooted phone if it does not have the "im" application. AIM uses a truck load of battery and bandwidth it seems, and the old application uses text messages from what I heard. Hope to hear from you soon.
Oh my god, I can't even begin to imagine the replies this topic is going to get.

I'm on a Captivate with Axura 2.5CE flashed onto 2.2. I was just wondering if it was possible to change the lockscreen from the stupid christmas background to whatever I have on my desktop without an extra app.
If not, that's fine. Does anyone know if the other (older) versions of Axura are customizable like this or what? Also, does anyone have other versions of Axura? This is the first custom ROM that I actually like.
Get ready to be hammered for posting in the wrong spot. You can change the wallpaper, like in every rom, out stock. Long press home screen, select wallpapers, tada

Please do not come into another thread or create your own thread and bash another devs work. That is one way to really get people pissed at you. I had that created as we are coming into the holidays. Unless you do not celebrate Christmas, you have no reason opening your mouth. If you want something done the way you want it, do it yourself. Also, if you want a different wall paper, just make sure it is sized correctly and put it on your damn SD card and apply it.
You successfully flashed a rom, but can't figure out how to change the wallpaper or post in the correct forum?

Also, if you have a question about Axura, I have an entire thread, a themes and apps section managed by Kangi and a freaken wiki. Ask us, we are here to help. unless we are "stupid" too.

Wow..Bro...you really need to chill out a little bit whole bunch. He doesn't like the frigging wallpaper and I'm sure he didn't think before asking...sheese...it's not like he says the rom sucks..he says he likes it... What is up with this cussing someone out ? Why not show him the proper way of doing things and asking for things in the correct place ?

I didnt' cuss anyone out. Just voiced my opinion. I put way too much thought and effort into Axura. Maybe it is time to take a breather.

You really need to check your attitude some.People ask thing in the wrong sections everyday.. and it's for the moderators to deal with..not you and for the record...yes...you did curse at him...since you ended your rather rude post with telling him about his "damn" sd card..so the whole tone of that conversation is quite evident...It doesn't take a lot to see how agrivated you are at him...but you need to back off no-matter how much hard work you have put in on Axura...because this kind of attitude, coming from you, towards someone else liking or disliking something about your rom flies in the face of what you have been saying all along on that thread on just how different it is and how people are treated...If you care to take this to PM's with me...feel free.

Ok guys cool down. Please search before opening a new thread and if the thread is about a specific Rom please post in the rom thread.
I deem this thread closed
PS We all know my feelings about rudeness so lets leave the egos at the door. We are all here to learn. If you wouldnt speak to your family and friends that way then dont post it that way either.
How can I get the SMS timestamp to show the time the SMS was sent instead of the time it was received? Some ROMs such as Serendipity have that feature built in, while others such as Cognition don't. I've asked many times in the Cognition thread on how to get this changed, but I've been ignored. I've done searching many times too and the only info I found was for here.

What ROM are you running?
I hear that the Canadian Rogers(?) ROMs had that problem and there is a fix. I'm not exactly sure that is it, but I bet its better to start somewhere than get no answer, eh?
As seen in my sig, Cognition. 3.03 at the moment. Posted in the Cognition thread numerous times and I was ignored.
Hooray for getting ignored.
Look in the serendipity thread. I have seen the issue discussed with a fix posted there.
As for sigs ....remember that many use the xda app and don't see them which is why the question was asked.

Yea I actually try to follow the Serendipity thread to the best I can. I even asked the question there too, but never got an answer... If my memory is correct, the previous version of Serendipity I used had this feature so I know it's possible to do without an app and stuff.

That's what the paper clip does? I just thought it shows that something is attached. I'll give it a try and then report back if I find one that shows the time SMS is sent and not the time SMS is received.
