I'm using a pdair case with the stud on the rear fitting into a pdair universal mount that suction fits onto the windshield. Check the pdair website for details.

Hello,
have the new Brodit Active Holder, works well as in horizontal or vertical Mode.
Bought it here: http://www.haid-services.de/kfz-hal...odit-halterung512246-htc-incredible-s-kfz.htm
Brodit it´s best i ever had!
Nice thanks for pointing that out. Looks like I then need to buy a separate windscreen mount as couldn't see any on the Brodit site, is that correct?
Many thanks
Ant
verizon seems to have released a decent looking one too, would provide link, but at work right now. edit for link later.

Here is a ebay seller with a good amount of accessories. I just bought one of is windshield mount.

Windscreen mounts for Incredible S
Also consider Herbert Richter, a little expensive, but well worth extra pennies.
I just received Verizon's, and it's superb. It's more like a dock, where you plug your car charger into the back of the mount and the dock charges the phone.

Bump. Anyone tried out the official Verizon car dock for this? I heard that it defaults to launching the VZW navigator, but can that be changed?
I'm having trouble finding a vent mount car holder for the Incredible S. I see these generic ones that claim to fit any phone, are these half decent for our phone?
I have been using one of those for ages, first for my iphone, then my blade and now my Incredible, they r pretty good imho.
Best thing you can do is go to a car accesorry shop and find one that fits your phone and does not block the usb connection
I got one from eBay

Yea I got mine from ebay also, cost me $3.60au not a universal one. The phone fits in perfectly, fully adjustable, can tilt or twist (landscape/portrait) and it has a threaded lock at the back so it stays in position.
Edit: does not block USB,volume or power button.

Does anybody know a perfect fitting car craddle, like the original from LG for the P970?
Brodit is thinking about to release a cradle. So just email them that you also want a cradle, maybe this helps
Just mail to: [email protected]
why not a universal craddle?
i bought a new specific craddle after changing the mobile.
now i try this one:
Clingo Universal Vent Mount
after 4 weeks, i like it.
sorry, can't post outside links.
You can also use the craddle for the galaxy nexus from Brodit , fit 100%
Best regards,
Christian
Thanks for your replys, both are worth to take a closer look to it.

The Clingo doesn't work because it needs an even surface. The back of the 4X is uneven.
I think I give the Galaxy Nexus cradle a try if its available on Amazon. Thanks.
Looking at the pics of the Brodit for the Galaxy Nexus it looks like the Nexus has a curved base. Surely that won't fit? I want to be sure before spending £35 on one!

Searching at Brodit for the holder the search shows two models:
Item no 511324
Passive holder with tilt swivel - Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250
Item no 511331
Passive holder with tilt swivel - Samsung Galaxy Nexus SCH-I515
Which one is the right one?
Thanks,
Sebastian
I bought this one - Samsung ECS-K2
I just bought a Clingo, and put a screw through the base of the ball-socket part to secure it to my Brodit base in my car!!
It holds it quite far out though, tomorrow I think I'll saw the ball-socket's arm down a bit and put a screw into the middle of it from the back of the Brodit plate.
Works well on the textured rear of the 4x, but with the Nillkin cover it did keep falling off, I guess it's a funny slightly rubbery finish

Thought I'd show a pic of my Clingo, modified by cutting off the ball-joint and screwing it to my Brodit base. (it was far too far out when I screwed the whole ball-joint arm on, and was knocked with every gear-change.

Wombat - Was it a Brodit? Active? (with charger) or just the 'passive' holder?
I was going to buy one as the 4x is only 2mm wider, and was contemplating dremelling it out a bit!! Would love to know if it fits as it is!
Thanks for the pic. Looks really cool!

I'm using this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/XENOMIX-2X-...der_Mounts_Stands_Holders&hash=item41751a2e33
pros:
easy to mount/unmount (no for my wife though lol)
there is an opening for the charger.
you can mount it on the dash of you car (I installed it on the dash of my RAV4 right in the middle, and my dash is not flat and smooth)
cons:
it started to vibrate and make noises after 2 months of use.
not to much of adjustment for me.
it's getting really hot from direct sun (its black I know)
I have this one and its fantastic.

I just use the Samsung universal dock, works great and I have a Bluetooth hands-free unit so no wires are necessary.
I have an Exogear in black and an Exogear 2 in white. They both work perfectly fine(just bought the 2 to see what changes were made), and Exogear is by far the best choice in my opinion! You can use them with just about any device since they're easily adjusted and the suction on Exogear is AMAZING!! Highly recommended!!!!!

Mountek nGroove Universal CD Slot Mount
I have had this one for about 4 months and I gotta say its the best mount I have ever used. I have a Jeep Wrangler and a Mini Cooper so I am constantly flipping it back and forth between vehicles. I also travel alot for work in rental cars and trucks, so its great having a mount that fits in almost any vehicle with no fuss. It takes about 2 seconds to get it out and move it to the other vehicle. Plus it puts the phone exactly where I want it. I use the GPS alot but more than anything else I use it for music, so its great having it right by the stereo. Plus is minimizes the cable runs across the dash and such. And it leaves no suction cup stains on my glass.
Here is an amazon link, I have bought 3 of them, one for work, one for me and one for my wife. Well worth the money.

Yes this is the first mount that I have had which actually works great in landscape mode as well. All of the other mounts I have had did it as well but seemed to only be very stable in portrait mode while this one is solid from a vibration/shake standpoint in both modes. I find that when I use WAZE I love it in landscape mode but other than that I stay in portrait.

I want something that can adjust both up and down and left to right. I saw the SCS-270 for Verizon but I have the Sprint version of the LG G2. I know the Verizon size is a bit bigger because of the wireless charging so will the SCS-270 work on Sprint?

I use this one, it is very easy to put the phone in the mount but be aware if you have a bigger case it may not fit well.
I had to cut the spring down a little and stretch it because it was too tight for my liking and I use a thin Nillkin case (very nice btw).
I do really like it though because it is so easy to put in the mount. :good:
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I found some on eBay that are custom fit for only $10 shipped. I'll post the results when it arrives.

Check out this seller. I will have mine on Saturday so I can't speak for the quality till then but these are exact fits, cheap and shipped from the US.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_osacat=0&_armrs=1&_ssn=urmarketoutlet&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xlg+g2&_nkw=lg+g2&_sacat=0&_from=R40
Keep watch on slickdeals.net for the iOttie. It's meant for iPhones, but my phone fits fine. ~$10 is a good price for it.
Like other mounts, it secures the phone confidently, but I chose the iOttie because it has a very sticky suction cup. I've got a leather dash, with tons of little ridges and bumps, and my mount has adhered without dislodging for the last month. It's doesn't use a glue-like adhesive. You can reuse it if you run the cup under warm water, and it sticks like new.
They make the iOttie in XL, but it's a few bucks more.
Just hit up Amazon for reviews and pics.
Just my 2 cents... If you have a case on the phone... The best thing I've found is the imagnet mount on amazon.

I gave up getting phone specific car mounts. My Epic 4G custom mount was useless with my EVO 4G. So I got a custom EVO 4G car mount. Wich was useless when I switched to Verizon and got a Bionic with the custom car mount. All so I could put the phone into car mode. When I got the G2 I said screw a custom car mount. Bought the iOttie flex 2 and and Damn happy with it. The iOttie flex 3 is even better. No it doesn't put my G2 into car mode. But I'm over it. Just got a lumia 1520 and it fits my flex 2 just fine. That's just my opinion after 15+ phones over 15 years

Does this mount fit non-Verizon variants?
No idea if none VZW G2's fit in the VZW Car mount. I guess you could always go to your local VZW store and ask to try out the car mount.
I orded this Mountek nGroove CD slot mount off Amazon and I love it. My dashboard mounts always fall off, especially harrowing on a long road trip (not to mention, potentially damaging my phone). But I'm very happy with this slot mount. You put it in your CD slot (and yes, you can have a CD in there), tighten the wing so it keeps the slot inserted tightly, place the phone in the mount, and close the arms. It's secure and easy for me to see. It blocks my Sonata's clock, so if I need the time, I have to look at the tiny print on my phone.
This is the link to the mount on their official site: http://www.mountek.com/shop/cell-ph...al-cd-slot-mount-cell-phones-and-gps-devices/

I purchased the Mountek Snap so I could mount any device. The magnet is thin enough to fit inside the case when you snap off the back.
I use the LG wireless charging car dock. Verizon though, I guess it would be useless if you don't have wireless charger.
