HD7 update coming soon... - HD7 General

So I have found out some news from mobile USA. I was calling to get the ring delay fixed as it was network related and got some info from the rep stating the is an update scheduled for December 15. Not much info on what the update will be but I do believe there going to include a fix for the pink camera issue. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

man, i hope they fix the pink camera thing, a bit annoying.

What is the pink camera thing? Is it the flushed out look of the pics? My bluetooth AD2P audio quality is bad on my HD7. I use bluetooth music streaming in my car. I hope they release a fix for this one too.

you can see this effect in a few ways:
1. take a picture of a white wall and the resulting picture will be covered in a pink haze.
2. turn the flash on and take a picture of yourself, you will also get the pink haze.

Oh ya I did notice that pink haze. Thanks. Any thought on my bluetooth issue?

I took pictures in daylight and at night with the flash, and didn't get the pink camera issue. I know the issue exists, but I oddly don't have it!

I noticed issues with Bluetooth as well but I have not used Bluetooth really that much. I get my car back from the shop soon so I will test with my car as well. Just the s9 headphones go in and out. Just know we are getting an update. They had no info on what the update is about. I hope all these issues are fixed as well as them (MS) including some of the missing features.

You mean T-Mobile USA ? It sounds like it would be a local update or something fresh straight from Microsoft ?

Yeah just cause I'm in the USA. I would think its a bit of both they just said an update is planned for that day. Just know were at least getting an update before next year. If all goes through then I'm very impressed with the new found customer service. A good step towards regaining a disappointed user base from wm.

I kinda like pink pictures!!!

Hahahahah
It would be strange for a local update , besides weren't we arguing about updates coming straight from Microsoft and not with carrier's aproval ?

I am also NOT having this issue with my HD7 Germany/O2 seems it only affects specific firmwares?

Possibly. It doesn't have to do anything with the carriers though, since I'm on T-Mobile USA and I don't have the problem either. Hopefully it is just a firmware problem that can be updated for those whom it affects!

I liked it, too. Just have a problem with pictures not really being 5mp. I've been having problems with pictures being grainy.

What was the fix for the ring delay. Its driving me nuts.

I hope besides the pink issue, they add more options for better picture quality like they did with the HD2.

Did all of you remove the plastic film on the lens??? I noticed it the day I got mine, same plastic lens that you see on the screen of new phones and other new electronics, but it was on the camera also....I don't have the pink haze, check your lenses, maybe just maybe.

any easy way to tell if the device still has the film? i did not take mine out but it does not look like it has one. how easy was it to remove? does it have remove tab or something?

Oh I hope the refresh/update is direct with Microsoft. I mean I do have a T-Mobile USA phone and all but I am in another country that does not have this phone in the available yet.

DO you think when the update comes out for WP7 that it wipes your handset clean or will it be just an upgrade without loosing any of your settings and files?

Do you know if there is a way to fix it? i really dont want to get it replaced.. i just came from the mytouch 4g and it already had enough problems >_< and do you know if it will get worse.
You can go to youtube.com/watch?v=liMySLZkF5o and watch the video on your phone. It should help you with the bad pixel situation...
No guarantees though, but I guess its better than nothing. Some people in the comments for the video said pushing on the bad pixel helped too
Also watch out if your epileptic lol

Im tempted to just get a focus, even though i love this phone..
Yeah, i have tried putting preasure on it, but its hard since the screen is glass lol.

Screen problem?

Hello, I have seen that my htc one screen have a light leak on the op of the screen, I thought that is a problem of my HTC One, but I have seen in internet that many Ones have this problem, so Can you see that your one have this problem?
Images:
PD: It is visible only in light colors or white.
Thanks and sorry for my english.
According to you (and maybe the other ONE user) I think I'm lucky because my screen doesn't have this issue..
but I got two deadpixels in less then a month since I bought it
it's called backlight bleeding, i have that too, there is nothing you can do about it..
I have spoken with HTC Chat and they say me that I can send the One to the SAT, but I am worried because I have seen another One in a shop of my city which has the same problem.
Thanks
Anyone has this problem too?
Idon't have this issue. Good luck

Thanks...
New photo:
I have that too, it looks the same, even the same pattern (two gaps where the sensors and camera is).
But to be honest, it is not noticeable at all, only when looking at bright colors from a high angle. Maybe the level of bleed varies from unit to unit, and if it's bothering you very much then RMA it.
Don't get me wrong, I am very picky about this kind of stuff, If I found a single badpixel I would go bonkers over it. However looking at what kind of issues people are having with their Ones I wouldn't complain at something like this.
Reported here as well, but my One is fine

You are looking at a shallow angle at the edge of the screen.... do you see this when you look at the screen straight on..... if not then there's no problem.

Isa good Option the HTC ONE?

I am going to sell my galaxy s3 i9300 because I dont like too much. (plastic, even that i useotterbox but still, and drop too fast his price, so i dont like that) and other things.
So, i see the htc one as option. the only thing that dont know is because dont have micro sd slot and no removable battery. How is the battery in real use? I mean, benchmark for me are not good, i want to know from people who really use the phone. And how many year will the battery last before starts to get damage? (like some phones that the battery only last one hour after years).
Other thing, the durability? hte screen is strong enough? And overall, is a durable phone?
And is a good upgrade from the S3 I9300?
I read too that hte revision will come in december, so, will b ebetter to wait so the price of the actual HTC One drops a little?
I have good impression about htc, I had a touch diamond for about 4 years. and drop it a lot of times and never break anything. Was plastic but for mee was more durable that the Samsung plastic.
But I want to know how are the actual models.
Thanks for the time
I'm not going to get into too much detail because there's a ton of threads and reviews here about everything you asked. But I would most deft upgrade from the Samsung to the htcone.
One thing you MUST check is the camera, BEFORE leaving the store. Make sure it doesn't have the purple haze issue.. Battery is not an issue and no SD slot is not an issue either. I'm actually about to order a micro usb flash drive for this baby to start backing up my photos and videos. Cheers!

Ok, I am going to buy it from ebay, and my brother always check it. How is the purple haze issue? I read about taking picture in low light and it seems like a purple color in all image right? How is the best method to try it? And that is not something that fix it with a update? Ir ead about a software update for that. THanks for your fast answer

If you lay the camera flat on a table, or your leg or something, the screen should show pitch black. If your camera is inflicted, it will be hazy purple or pinkish.. No update has yet been able to fix the issue, if anything they make it worse it seems. Otherwise the phone is absolutely amazing!!

Allright thanks. Always like htc, because all the HTC that I see are very very durable, not like samsung. And if the screen scratch or broke, is not too expeensive like a samsung device. (I always see all the things)
Ah, I forgot to ask something, is the same if I buy the sprint version? I read that has for sim card too. It will work ok? All gsm and 3g?

Someone with the phone please try this.

Hey guys-
I have the galaxy s6 and I have a weird problem which I think may or may not be burn in. Someone please take the phone outside and try this:
1. Put phone under as much sunlight as possible
2. Open display to white screen.
3. Now look at the borders of the display(about 1 inch from top and bottom and 1/4 inch from left and right side.
Do you see a grey color line bordering that chunk of the display?
I am thinking of contacting t-mobile but my gut tells me this is in the design of the display assembly. Please let me know. Thanks in advance guys.
I see exactly what you're saying but it doesn't look to me like a factory defect

You see the greyish lined box? It is quite annoying once you see it.
Yeah I do but it doesn't really bother me
I see. It definitely bothers me when I see it. That is just me though. T-mobile says that it is a defect in my phone and not normal though. Looks like that is not the case.

I will certainly try tomorrow. It does seem like it will be an issue on all models based on what the other Xda user said and confirmed the same thing I have seen.

Having some tech issues, not sure if I should exchange phone (snapdragon,TMOBILE_US)

Hey guys,
I'm rocking a note9 128gb snapdragon tmobile us variant, and it's been great aside from the issue I will be sharing today.
When I either close an app and go to the home screen, switch apps or unlock the device sometimes it'll generate a blue bold line/or white thin line in between screens going either vertically or horizontally. It isn't much of an issue much more so ugly and I don't think it's normal cause it doesn't always happen and looks 'unprofessional' or unpolished. Yesterday however while watching a show on amazon prime app, i opened up a notification on my instagram app and clicked it and as my phone began switch to IG from the amazon prime app my note froze. It displayed a grey screen, and divided the screen into two large blue boxes. It looked like the phone had crashed, but then it loaded IG moments later. The grey screen /w two blue boxes lasted for a few seconds. THe boxes were just outlines, eg they weren't filled.
As I've had this phone for a little bit(about 3 weeks), I am wondering if this is a software issue I could fix with some settings or this is worthy or a replacement? Because I cant imagine that this is a normal feature...
Only 'mods' I have are install adhell 3 and using nova launcher. I have not rooted my device.
Thank you for reading.
have same phone on Tmobile and didn't notice nothing bad so far. Yours look like is defective and i would look for replacement/fix. This is not acceptable at this price range. You can always try factory reset and see if this is software issue but I doubt that or even try safe mode .
Other thing is I need easy way to install adhell I see u did it, i'd wish i could do too
