So my issues starts out like this...... I had an energy rom on my at&t tilt 2 from 3-15-10. I wanted to up date it so i ran task 29 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649191 which is found here my computer didn't want to open it at first (using windows 7 os with avg virus protector) i finally got it to open by going in and launching romupdateutility.exe.. (When i clicked on the custom ruu my computer did nothing even after right clicking and run as administrator) but i did get it to work.. No I'm having the same issue trying to put flash my new rom. When i click Rhodium_softwareUpgrade my computer does nothing. Is this a Windows 7 issue can someone please help my phone is now stuck on either the white at&t world phone screen or i can get to the bootloader screen but nothing after those. Help please, and thank you.
you can flash using ur storage card, just rename the nbh file to RHODIMG.NBH (if I'm not mistaken), copy it tp the root of the storage card and enter the boot loader.
hope it helps
with phone off hold volume down key while pressing the power key now you should be on tri-color screen (bootloader) & at the bottom of the screen it should say serial now plug your phone up via usb cable now at the bottom of your screen it should say usb
now on your computer right click on the custom ruu of whatever rom your using & run it as administrator & you should be able to flash with no problem

Do any of you have a program that I could use to sync my phone to my Computer via usb? I've tried several versions of Tera Term with no success. I reached the point where I was ready to pull all of my hair out and then I remembered... I don't have anyway. Oh well. Please help I really want to upgrade my rom but I want to back up the old first. Thanks, Vern.
i think i don't understand what you're trying to do!?
Don't you use ActiveSync for Syncing with your PC?
And wtf is Tera Term???
This is what I'm trying to do:

1. Get a 128MB SD card. They're cheap - under $20.
2. Insert said card.
3. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=37386 and download the aWizard utility. CID-unlock your phone. (You only need to do this ONCE, even if reflash in the future.)
4. Get a terminal program that can speak over the USB port. There is a patched version of Terraterm out there, along with a few others. You need a way to connect to the device over the USB port as an ascii terminal.
5. Turn off the phone.
6. Holding the CAMERA key, press the power button for 2-3 seconds. Continue holding the CAMERA key until it comes up in the tri-color screen.
7. Connect the USB cable. Wait until ActiveSync tries to start. CTRL-ALT-DEL Windows and kill the process wcescomm.exe (ActiveSync's communication driver)
8. Now start your terminal program and point it at the USB port. Hit RETURN and you should get a command prompt. You are now talking to the phone's boot loader in terminal mode.
9. Type "r2sd all" and hit RETURN.
10. If you get a security level violation, you DID NOT CID-unlock the device. Go back to step #1.
11. The ROM image (all of it) will be written to the SD card. Several messages will be displayed while this is in progress. Note that this is NOT - I repeat - NOT - a filesystem-formatted dump - it is a RAW image of the ROM with some checksum information included. Anything on the SD card will be destroyed - don't do this with a card that has data on it you care about!
12. You can stick this card somewhere to be used for restoring. If you want to save the image off the card to your computer, stick the SD card in your computer and then dump 128MB of the card starting at the front (the actual dump is about 80mb but will always be less than 128MB, so that's "safe".) You will need a tool like "psdread" or any other tool that can do byte-level I/O to the SD card in your PC's reader for this.
To restore a SD-card image dump to the Wizard:
1. Write the image to the SD card. Again, this is NOT a filesystem - its a RAW image! Unless you saved the image to the card from the Wizard initially you will need a tool that can do a raw write to the SD card in your computer.
2. With the Wizard OFF, insert the card into the SD slot.
3. Hold BOTH the CAMERA and VOICE keys and press the power button for 3 seconds. Release POWER.
4. Look CAREFULLY at the Wizard screen. The backlight WILL NOT BE ON! It will tell you to press the VOICE button if you wish to restore the SD card image. This message only appears for a few seconds and the backlight is OFF! If you wait too long you will end up at the tri-color bootloader screen. Press the VOICE button (if you still have it down, let up on it then press again.)
5. The restore will run. Note that the backlight IS NOT ON during this process! You may need a flashlight (or very bright ambient light) to be able to read the progress meter.
6. When the process is complete it will tell you to press "any key". Do so and you're back in the tri-color bootloader screen.
7. Turn off the Wizard with the power button. When you turn it back on, it will hard reset just as if it was brand new off the firmware you just restored.
Note that this is the ONLY way to recover from a bricked phone if you try to load the wrong firmware file using one of the "forcible" methods (e.g. aWizard) on a non-CID-unlocked phone, and have bypassed the normal protection methods as ActiveSync cannot get back in there under these circumstances.
I strongly recommend that if you're going to futz with firmware, that you get yourself a 128MB card, make one of these dumps, and TEST the restore before you play around. This will recover from almost any botch - the only exception is loading a firmware file via some means (e.g. "aWizard") that the phone cannot execute at all.
Note that I do not know if this will get around the "boot loader version is too high" problem - I'm not willing to try it until I have an official T-Mobile update with a newer boot loader.
This same method for both dump and restore works on the SDA as well.
13. Overclocking the MDA (do so at your own risk!)

Don't forget to remove the ";" (without the quotes) at the beginning of the overclock settings in the configuration file!
How fast you can clock it depends on your device, it's just a matter of trial and error. 240 seems to be safe for the majority of HTC Wizard owners. No need for extra tools to wake overclocking up after a soft reset or standby. I haven't noticed severy battery drain, I can easily use my device a whole day and come home with the batterie well over 50% charged.
It's just a great little program. The integrated overclocking comes as a bonus to the tweak that the program was actualy made for, remapping buttons so you can open the start menu without using your stylus and close programs without using the stylus.
Have a look around on the HTC Wizard Blog, there is lots of other stuff that you may find useful.
And Number 4 is WTF Tera Term is. Thanks.
Hello Everyone,
My BA is stuck at the Splash Screen, I suspect that the Bootloader is corrupt. Does anyone know how to flash it?
try this for whoever get stuck at boot screen or in bootloader mode
1. Download mtty v1.42 from http://files.pdamobiz.com/ROMs/XDA/mtty1.42.rar
2. Stop ActiveSync, by Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
kill two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
3. put your device into Bootloader Mode by pressing Power + Record Button and Soft Reset.
4. Run mtty (from downloaded) Choose WCEUSBSH001
5. type "set 14 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset.
6. type "task 28" to get your device formatted
7. type "task 0" to ask your device reboot
8. take the device out of the cradle, and manually reset it if it does not do that already.
good luck.

imatrix's suggestion.
@imatrix
Followed the steps before, and followed them again.. I'm still stuck.
Something interesting happened though:
There are two horizontal stripes across the splashscreen now.
I already tried to flash the OS, It doesn't work with the standard imate flash executable (It used to work before) and now I'm getting a 'MODEL ID ERROR' when I try to flash it using the BAupgrade... executable.
I tried with the MAupgradenoid tool, it flashes but I still get stuck on the splashscreen...
Thanks,
Wadih
BlueAngel Bootloader
Anyone has a way to either dump a bootloader file for the BA (Providing the file of course) or alternatively directives to copy it from another device (From the same make, i.e. Imate PDA2K) ?
Many thanks,
Wadih.

I did, but as I specifed in me earlier post, eventhough the MAUpgradenoID flashes the files, I still get stuck at the splashscreen.
Interesting point: After flashing witht the MAUpgradenoID, I try reflashing back with the BAupgradeid.. I get the Model Error ID error back..
Something in the BA is wrong, and I believe it may be in the Bootloader. So, is there a way to replace the bootloader itself?
EDIT: By the way, I can't seem to be able to place a WM5 rom instead of the WM2003, although the flashing procedure starts, it quickly ends (i.e. without the percentage bar appearing) and says that the flashing worked successfully... But nothing gets actually flashed.
Many thanks for the help imatrix.
Regards,
Wadih.

Hi, I have the problem, that windows does not recognize the Blue Angel any more, so no "WCEUSBSH001" available. Any help??
Thx
Hi
I have tried the dummies guide concerning updating the HTC USB drivers but had a couple of issues:
1. If I press F8 during the boot process I get an abreviated version of the bois setup which has no selection for turning off digital signing of drivers. I have an ASUS motherboard so to enter the bois I press the DEL key. Whilst in the bios I can see no option for turning off the digital signing. The instructions in the thread simply don't work.
I have done some searching and found web pages that explain how to enter the command window, paste 2 or 3 lines of text to turn off digital signing and put W7 64 bit into a sort of test mode. I have done that and have "Test Mode Windows 7600" in the bottom right corner of my Desktop. I still can't install the HTC USB driver as it brings up an error due to being not signed.
Without installing the new driver I cant change my ROM. There must be others in the same boat having changed to Windows 7. Please help.
Ok a few things:
I'm on windows 7 x64 build 7600, I'm having NO problems, just connect your device in windows let it connect with active sync
Then de-connect your blacktsone, shut it down, and hold volume down button then press start up, it will now start in bootloader mode
Now re-connect and wait for it to get installed by your pc!
If you really DO need htc drivers
Go into your bios
Turn of any quick booting AND turn off full logog display
When windows is starting AFTER the bootscreen you'll get a screen with some sort of TABLE in it with all your hardware and all they're IRQ's
at THIS moment when you see this table press f8
Then you get a boot menu
and you can follow your guide with turning off the signed drivers etcetera!
Great Greet Giblet
wow dude, treat me like the idiot I am. Step by step please.
"Then de-connect your blacktsone" - i guess you mean take out the USB cable?
I wait for it to get re-installed but nothing happens whilst in bootloader and the word serial stays at the bottom of the screen
OMG
Oh my god, I am really frustrated becuase I managed to get it to work with your help but I don't know how. I must have tried everything 10 times without luck then all of a sudden it worked.
If only I knew what I was doing wrong I could pass it along to the next poor sap.
Thanks for your help.

Some options to get a new ROM on your device:
Alternative Option: Run ROM from storage card (this requires HSPL on your device)
- Connect your phone to your pc with the usb cable
- Choose Disk Drive option on your phone when presented with the choice.
- Extract the downloaded rar and if not called BLACIMG.nbh rename the romfile to that (ruusigned.nbh is commonly used so rename when so)
- Copy the BLACIMG.nbh to your phone's storage card via Windows Explorer where it should show up as an removable harddrive.
- Disconnect your phone from the pc once copy has finished.
- Shut down your phone.
- Press Volume Down (left top of phone) and keep it pressed while pressing the Start button (on top of phone) once.
- The bootloader (red, green, blue, white screen) will now start, it will detect the new rom file and ask you if you want to update your current one.
- Confirm and follow instructions on screen
Done.
As for your unsigned drivers i can offer some tips:
- Press F8 after you have seen all your hard drives recognized in the bios bootup screen but before you see the Windows Logo.
- F8 might be set as a bootselector menu by your motherboard manufacturer, if this gets in the way of trying the get to the F8 options from Windows you can disable it in your BIOS (to enter press del)
- If you have Windows 7 Ultimate you are entitled to XP-Mode which is basically a built in virtual machine of Windows XP within Windows 7, some people have been succesfull connection their phone to that XP installation and were able to update via it.
Hope this helps. together with the previous poster's comment you should come a long way, good luck.

Oh lol, guess you just managed, grats on that. for future you could try the alternative option i posted, works garanteed irregardless of operation system.

In future try posting such queries in the Dummies guide: updating HTC USB Sync Drivers thread. Thats what its there for
Hello there, am I ****ed? Here's what happened today:
>Rooted LG revolution froze and crashed with a black screen, even after rebooting with taking the battery out.
>I'll just hard reset my phone.. nbd
>Hard reset phone
>Realized that it's still rooted, ****yea.jpg
>Go on an app deleting frenzy, accidentally deleted an app (sms.apk maybe?)
>Tried to press home and it doesn't work so I restart my phone and it boots normally until I unlock it. (The network bar is still visible but I can't access the home screen)
>Panic, then find this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337386 and complete every step but the phone doesn't show up on LGNPST. (I can't access the connectivity options, but it's usb debugged since the sd card and system folders show up on autorun)
What can I do? Is my phone salvageable? Or will I have to go to Verizon to fix my mess?
Thanks in advance!
If running Windows 7 try disabling UAC then re install the .dll file during the LGNPST setup.
I tried win 7 for a few days and couldn't get it to work. But my XP laptop worked fine. Try XP especially if win 7 is 64 bit.
--My REVO is Broken, tweaked, SC'd, and TB'd. Just awesome!
should be fairly simple
do u have cwm? and a back up? then load the system from a good backup, or load one... if no cwm then maybe the stock recovery will do it?
keep me informed and ill do what i can and search the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564941
As a last resort you can allways pull the battery, then put it back in, then with the phone still off press power and down and hold untill you get option to factory reset, hit power for yes then reflash the .Tot you want and start over rooting.

UAC has nothing to do with any issues.. type in start menu > search > type in "cmd" or "regedit" and right click and choose "run as administrator" then shouldn't have any issues registering the .dll
Hi guys I'm trying to flash Jovi's Custom Rom. I accidentally pressed the update button on my phone that allows the Latest update from t-moble to kill the phone so It wont charge. Luckily I have quite a but of battery power left and I'm franticly trying to flash a jovi's custom rom. currently I'm getting a "Failed" message when trying to flash on ODEN 3.12 here are the directions I followed to the letter but no success.
First Thing Your Going To Do Is Download Both graceqltetmo_N930TUVU1APGC_Stock_Deodexed.zip And N930T_Note7_Adb_Rootkit_And_Odin_Pack.zip Files From The Download Link Section Below.
2. Extract All The Files From N930T_Note7_Adb_Rootkit_And_Odin_Pack.zip Onto Your PC Desktop, You Will Then Have Eight Files On Your Desktop Which Will Be MODIFIED_TMO_SPR_N930PVPU1APH3_REV00_ENGBOOT_FIRMW ARE.tar.md5, graceqltetmo_N930TUVU1APGC_Stock_Deodexed.img, SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.45.0.exe, adb-setup-1.4.3.exe, CommandPrompt.bat, Odin3.exe, Odin3.ini, And sun7.
3. If You Haven't Setup ADB On Your PC Yet Or Installed The Samsung USB Drivers, Just Open Both Executables SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.45.0.exe And adb-setup-1.4.3.exe And Complete Both The Setup Processes. Once Done You Should Now Have A Created ADB Directory Which Should Be Located At C:\adb. Once ADB Is Setup, Place The sun7 Folder And CommandPrompt.bat Inside Your ADB Folder From The New Directory.
4. Now Put Your Phone Into Download Mode By Powering Off Your Device First And Then Hold The "Volume Down+Home+Power Buttons" At The Same Time Until You See The Download Mode Warning Screen. Now Press The "Volume Up Button" And Then Insert Your Samsung USB Plug.
5. Now Open Odin3.exe, Click On "AP", Select "MODIFIED_TMO_SPR_N930PVPU1APH3_REV00_ENGBOOT_FIRM WARE.tar.md5", And Then Click On "Start". Wait For A Couple Of Minutes For The Modified N930PVPU1APH3 Engboot Firmware To Finish Installing. After this step it says failed so this is where I'm suck currently at the bootloader. thanks guys for your help
If you had done any research on this you could have saved yourself the hassle.
There is no possible way to root since like october.
