Please do a search in the Galaxy S thread before you put on a new thread.
Depends if you want to have a nice paper weight or not.

hey is there any one for good pleas make own foryo for galaxy s with own ui and no lags ???
Sure, this custom rom has the most insane 3d UI and no lags and you'll never need to buy a new phone ever againnnnnnnn.
But seriously, I really don't know what the search feature is. what it does and why the heck I should use it but I'm glad there's a dozen of these threads lying around.

Wait for the official Froyo to be circulated first to all Galaxy S's and then we can start modifying ROM's to be as stock as possible.
Also, wrong section.

Is it worth to upgrade to the Nexus S? i have use the galaxy S for half a year and it was really a good phone with darky's Rom and speedmod Kernels. Now anyone here that changes from galaxy S to nexus S here? share your views
Hi,
I also took a look on Nexus S to change for it or not but I think although it has LED flash and quite bigger internal memory but having no misro SD slot to extend so it could be a problem for me to save and port my personal data fast and easy way.
You will not find as much support by forums for Nexus as much you can have for Galaxy S. I mean ROMs, problem solvings and so on...
I recognised that it is worth to wait for Galaxy S2 instead.
I hope it helps
Is there an ability to hack video camera to record 1080p?

Alright thanks. Yes i did research on the nexus s forum and they dont have much roms / kernels as much as the galaxy do.

its basically the same phone. i think it wouldnt be worth it - especially if you have darky's newest rom on ur gs i dont see that much of a difference
Nexus S is a Galaxy S with led flash and a downgraded screen, but you get all the Android updates first.
I would wait for Galaxy S II

Too bad... could you at least return to the original ROM (assuming you were using original stock ROM)?
If you could give us more details...
shame
i just purchased the t-499 myself and its a shame that such a new/great phone has so little support, ive looked all over google and only gotten mixed answers and dead end threads. icant even figure out if galaxy mini roms are cross compatible to the dart or not. its actually a good phone with a decent screen if u change the lcd_density to 100 the resolution is pretty decent.
if someone can help me a little it would be greatly appreciated, atleast point me in the right direction.
Not sure where else to post this, but can someone tell me if I can use a bootanimation.zip on the Samsung Dart? I've looked at a lot of threads on how to do this, used ROM toolbox to move files around, but haven't had any luck. I'd just like to know for sure so I don't drive myself crazy and waste more time!

On he stock Dart rom, no.
Samsung apparently uses some weird proprietary bootanimation format.
I am running the CM7 port in my sig from the MadTeam Forums and it of course uses bootanimation.zip's and I even have enabled boot sounds on it.
It's a good rom, couple of really minor bugs like button lights don't work and slow to wake on incoming calls, but overall quite stable.
Bummer....I guess I'll have to wait til I can upgrade to a new phone
they have make new rom for dart

Everyone here will say they love their captivate, as its really really good phone....
I used Galaxy Note for some time...its really good too
And Galaxy S2 is best in its competition....So yeah pretty much samsung makes really good phones now...depending on your budgets and needs, you should get one of those dual core samsung phones...or wait for SG3

I had allot of samsung phones, and my captivate imo is the best that I used. I still have my S2, but I use my cappy. I think its allot more reliable and stable.

I dont know why but I think the samsung smart phones are getting really ugly. I think the best samsung phone now is the galaxy nexus. Captivate is nice except the part that no front cam and no flash.
I like my galaxy s and didn't bother upgrading as the sgs2 is just too big
I'm waiting to see what the sgs3 is before deciding on my next phone

I agree about the cam, but that's really not a big deal to me . Because if I want to take good pics ill just use a digital camera. I bought a phone to use it as a phone , not a camera. Lol

Hello everyone, a couple of days ago I saw the video for the leaked Samsung Firmware for the GT-N7100 Note II (N7100XXUEMI6). I quite liked what I saw, I think that its quite an improvement compare to what the GT-N7000 Note I has got so far.
So I bring this question to Devs here on XDA. Do you (Devs) think it would be posible to port this to the GT-N7000 Note I? Do you think it would run smoothly on our device? Would it work properlly?
Hope to hear (read) your thoughts about it soon.
Best regards from Venezuela.
