[q] help please!

Hai guys I need help badly , here's the story, I bought my Samsung Galaxy S few weeks ago and I love it, few days ago I connected my Galaxy S and opened the Samsung Kies and it said there's update available for the firmware, so i went on and click it, then the whole upgrading firmware started. Then i checked the firmware, it is android version 2.2 aka Froyo. I was happy at first , but then i realise my phone lag badly! i cant pull down notification drawer, the drawer will stuck and in order to use my phone, i have to click the back button, so that the stucked drawer will close, and i cant type properly, lag lag and lagggs! WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED GUYS? CAN ANYONE ANSWER ME PLEASE? IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THESE LAGS? should'nt Froyo be faster and better? please please i need help... should I use Anvanced task killer or anything?
p/s: im from Malaysia anyway, anybody from Malaysia had the same problem? please anyone help me please

maybe boot into recovery and clear cache/dalvich cache and factory reset.

Just instal a lag fix like voodoo 5

First thing you should do is a complete factory/data reset. The upgrade process isn't very good

@tragusman: erm how to boot into recovery, sorry im clueless ...

Hai, so if i reset the phone it'll go back to Eclair? and then connect again to Kies and update to Froyo again?

@ gadget check: Hai erm is that available in the market? the voodoo 5?

Just search for it on XDA and u will get all the steps to speed up ur SGS

I think the things he is experiancing is more than lag its as above mentioned upgrading can leave things slow and reseting clearing cache etc is recomended.
Turn phone off then hold down power volume up and the middle button till it goes into recovery also you could use quick boot from the market its free and it will boot into recovery if the 3 button mode doesnt work.
No it wont put you back to 2.1 but may wipe contacts apps etc but the plus is a clean start.

[Q] sim problem security error please help

hey..i tried to flash my phone with rom manager but when my phone rebooted got stuck at "LG" logo...I used LG Update tool emergency recovery...the phone starts,i enter the pin,my sim card unlocks but it doesn't connect to the network and when the homescreen is locked it says security error and at the top it says press menu to unlock but when i press it nothing happens...what should i do???please help..sorry for my english

if is not work, try flashing with stock firmware.

This happened to me aswell, nothing seemed to work... I returned it for service, unrooted and did the SW upgrade so nobody could find out that I had flashed Nova. The warranty should cover this if it is a manufactor problem so I made it look like it was but however I had "LauncherPro plus Menu System" installed so they blamed that and I had to pay for the service... ._. My LG hasn't arrived home yet... after soon a month, damn they are slow.

i have flashed my phone with the stock firmware...the menu appears with 3845#*970# what should i press there?

Factory Reset, then again Factory Reset. It'll wipe all of your data on phone but maybe this will fix it.

nothing happend...i dit it ten times but the problem still remaining...

You can try this:
-Factory reset
-Emergency recovery with LG Mobile Support tool.
- Factory reset, again..
Attention: You will lost all your apps and settings.

man i've tried everything....the only solution is to take it to lg service...just do an emergeny recovery and factory reset to unroot it and delete the apps...

The downsite of taking it to service, is that they upgrade it to v10e, which is extremely hard to root... I've tryed everything now and nothing worked.

I've tryed factory reset, Emergency Recovery with LG tools.Nothing... And take it LG service. Service says, "motherboard will change".So i'm waiting Service.

Use Windows Enabler to check "Erase entire CP"
and voila... get network again!!!!

can you please tell me how can I check "erase entire cp" with me it is all the time inactive . I have installed windows enabler and still cant check it.

I will tell you to use "windows enabler" but if didn't work with I have no idea.
Check if it was "on" at the taskbar.

I had exact the same problem, it occurred after i switched sim's, i was using the nova rom. I sent my phone to the service center (flashed with stock fw before ofc) and they changed the mainboard on warranty.

what to do in windows enabler?

Nothing to do, just install/open it and redo the flash guide

Go to Development section and find the UPK package there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771
Grab Windows Enabler, open as admin (in XP not needed) and then you should be able to click all buttons

[Q] The application AirattackHD (process com.ArtIngames.AirattackHD ) has stopped...

I have been using the ROM kuya droid V4.3.233 few weeks ago and was stable in my shakira
but sometimes the error message appears from several applications, for example
"The application AirattackHD (process com.ArtIngames.AirattackHD ) has stopped unexpectedly.Please try again"

Go to settings > applications > manage apps, look for airattackHD you'll see 'clear data' button.
P.S it is the place where you uninstall your app from

It may be bug of the rom...maybe not..
Try to full wipe/factory reset with cwm/xrecovery and reinstall your rom(of course you will lose your games..reinstall them or take back ups)

I used a pattern lock on my HTC One which I forgot.
Now the problem is that its asking for my google account information. I can give it but both my wifi and mobile data are off.
Can you tell me how to turn it on so that I can enter my Google account information? or any way I can open my phone? Without resorting to Factory Reset?

You don't need Internet to activate it through your Google account, can be done offline

You could try this method, dont know if your computer will let you upload files while your phone is locked thou.

The time its taken to post and wait for responses you could have factory reset and been up and running again.

I have important data. Factory reset will remove all my data

I have a feeling you're going to have to do it

Have you tried a hard reset? Or possibly activating and deactivating airlplane mode in power menu?

Maybe removing your SIM card and putting a different one in might reset the SIM properties and activate the connection?

Do you have adb installed on your computer?
Have you checked this guide, maybe it works for you?

I did try that. I have adb installed and unknown sources enabled but it won't detect my phone. Probably the drivers arent installed.
And they aren't installing either! :\
Anyway, Did a hard reset now.
Pity.

It's annoying when you lose data, I know about that first hand but sadly there's times where there doesn't seem to be a choice ... Still, look on the bright side, at least you aren't bricked lol

Then went back and factory reset'ed it

And if I could pull down my notification shade, I would've turned on wifi from there only

m having this trouble shot in everytime i restart my phone
it says : the process com.android.phone has stopped unexapctedly please try again
look in the uploaded image please help me
i tried reflashing the phone then reflashing the rom i tried wiping data i tried factory reset but non of those methode worked for me please guys m begging for help

This issue cannot be solved by Reflashing ROM by wiping data (experienced )

Something I've also had to do to get the phone working again was going into the 'manage applications' screen and clearing the data for the phone application. This can be accomplished as follows:
From the home screen, press Menu
Tap Settings
Tap Applications
Tap Manage Applications
At the top, tap the All tab
Navigate to and tap your equivalent of the phone app (may be called Phone or Dialer)
Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data as available
Turn your phone off, then back on.
Another means of resolving those app errors, hope this helps!

2. go to wipe/format option

well, for now, I have no other methods...
But, it may be okay... This error shows once on restarting the phone..
Solution is not to restart phone without any cause...

to only know what cause of that problem is the logcat. so you can know that cause the android.phone crash. maybe png or what you can provide logcat here also so we can see and to help you with your problem.
