[Q] My galaxy s goes to download mode instead of recovery mode! - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My galaxy s goes to download mode instead of recovery mode when i hold the three buttons. No usb cable is connected. I really need to fix this. can somebody help?

you're holding volume up right?
If not, do so! If yes, try the Down to see if you get in download mode.

I strongly believe you hold the wrong button combination, buddy.
Hold Vol UP + Home + Power button,
release all 3 buttons when you see the I9000 screen

when i hold those 3 it doesn't go recovery. it just normally boots

Hold em until the samsung logo flashes (shows then blank then shows again) then release ONLY the power.

if you can't get into neither download nor recovery mode, you need a 3 button fix. BUT before you do that, Please double confirm that you can't enter both modes.

btw, download mode and recovery mode looks like this, can you see both?
Volume DOWN + HOME + Power -> Download mode

Same problem right here. Any idea?
What have you done before facing this issue?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda premium
In my case, volum up button doesn't work, and phone doesn't enter in downlaod model, just in some emergency mode arm9... something like that. I try to update software, i think because it's some software problem. After that, everything ok (start downlaod mode with kies, and update with odin). Odin show pass(isn't first phone that I update with odin, but everything before was ok). When phone start, show this .... and i don't know what should I do. Any help, any idea?

Be careful and press only vol down and not both volup and down...try.
Before, I update with odin: Galaxy S, Galaxy gio(2x), Galaxy ace(3x), another galaxy mini, with odin.
Weird it is then, cuz i know holding volup+down+home+power will get u to emergency download mode...whatever that is.
It's possible. The person who gave it to me to make them update said the volume up button does not work very well. Be a reason? Phone also have another problem, battery drain, in 5 minutes, battery goes from 70% to 20%. Wipe battery stats in CWM should resolve this? 100% probably no, but something?
Im having the same problem, I get "lcd_backlight_ctrl start" when im trying to turn my phone on, can only go to Emergency download mode
I have firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551586 and i get this error after i tryed to go to recovery mode (Clockwork recovery not flashed)
EDIT: Got into normal download mode, reflashed roms, now its working fine. Apperiantly theres a problem with my "Volume up" button.
For future
This combination which u have triggered is: Volume up + menu + power or just Volume Up + power

Turn off phone by pulling off the battery and place it back in. While the phone is off, press Volume Up + Home Button + Power Button to enter recovery mode. In recovery, navigate using volume buttons and select wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache and try to install another rom from there. If it doesn't work for you, enter download mode on your device (Volume down+home button+power button) and reflash the firmware using odin. Happened several times to me, hoped I helped

[Q] - HTC One (M7), Stuck in Bootloader.

Hi all,
Apologies if I don't include all the information you require, first time posting in here. (I'll add some screenshots tomorrow evening)
I was attempting to unlock the boot loader to begin the process of installing Cyanogen Mod onto the device. After powering down and entering the bootloader(?) I have been unable to select any options and can't get out of it. It appears that the volume up button works, but the volume down and power buttons do not. The device isn't recognised when attached to a PC either. Not really sure where to proceed from here and any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Gurk

Hold the power button to reboot the phone in the OS. Then get your volume button repaired, you'll need it if you start flashing stuff, even unlocking the bootloader will requires to use the volume down button.

Holding the power button does not reboot the phone into the OS. The volume buttons do work as does the power button, however in the bootloader only the volume up button appears to work. (Sorry that I did not make that clear in the original post)

Samsung Galaxy A6 boot stuck

My phone is stuck at "SAMSUNG Galaxy A6 powered by android" screen.
Pressing Volume Down + Power for 7 seconds restarts the phone but it still gets stuck.
I can get into TWRP, but the touchscreen isn't working. Pressing Volume Down + Power for 7 seconds – again – restarts the phone back to "SAMSUNG Galaxy A6 powered by android" screen. After about 15 minutes it enters TWRP. UPDATE – 5 hours later, it only takes 5 seconds to enter TWRP. So now I'm stuck in TWRP.
I want to get into Download Mode to install stock rom. But 1st I need to power off the phone. How do I shut it down?
SOLUTION
While in TWRP recovery mode I connected the phone to PC and used the command:
adb reboot download
Then I used Odin3 to flash stock ROM.
But the touchscreen remains unresponsive; probably because of water damage. I will never ride my bike in the rain without proper phone protection.

Stuck on the Redmi logo, Shows Snapdragon logo after 10-15 minutes

I put my phone on the charging while sleeping, and in the morning I see the Redmi Powerd by Android screen. I tried to restart long pressing the power button. But the phone is stuck on that screen. Not even able to enter into recovery mode or fastboot mode.
If I press any volume buttons in combination with power button, the phone is not getting started. Simple power button starts the phone but stuck on the redmi logo screen.

Whatever I'm trying to boot into it doesn't work. As far as I remember, I've not unlocked the bootloader, but I'm not sure.
The device was on MIUI 12.5 last update.
Any help?
