Subject says it all. I'm looking at flashing Cognition but I'm hesitant if I will lose all saved games. I have titanium backup but have only used it to removed at&t bloatware. Can I use that to backup saves? And if so.. how?

I use titanium backup and it has always restored my Angry Birds' saved games... I was three star-ing everything so I wasn't about to flash and lose it all either HAHA. I say use TiBu and you should be fine, though there are anomalies and I am not responsible for any lost saved games haha
Is there a "how-to" for titanium backup?

TiBu -> Menu -> Batch -> Backup all user apps
Flash ODIN
Flash new rom (you can click wipe data, it doesnt delete your sd card stuff, in fact, i recommend it)
Install TiBu (if your rom doesn't have it included)
TiBu -> Menu -> Batch -> Restore all apps with data
Click install, install, install. Done.
If you're really anal (which i was for a while), put in an external sd card and copy the titaniumbackup folder from your root folder to the external sd card and then take it out. lol
Ah sweet. So if I'm understanding those steps... the internal sd card is not treated like internal ROM storage that is wiped when you flash your phone?

No, but if you did, for instance, an Odin 3 one click back to stock, and clicked the master clear button, or if you do a factory reset, etc., that would wipe the internal SD card. So, if your ocd like me, connect to your pc and mount the SD card, and transfer everything on it to the PC hard disk. Then repeat that whenever you're going to flash. Just in case, you know.
Backup all user apps or backup all user apps + system data?

Do all backup stuff. You can later select what to restore. You can go in and just restore browser favorites if you want.

I have a build 10.10 From Rogers and updated with official Froyo via Kies, on some roms it told me to do a master clear from odin.
Because I have a 10.10 build, I read that its recommended that i Use the non-one click odin3 v1.7. But there's no such option for master clear.
How do I master clear from a non-one click odin?
Master clear is basically formatting your internal sd card. To be honest, there is really no point. I have never master cleared since it did not make sense to me that I have to format my internal sd card before flashing a rom. I have never run into any issues either

Yea I agree with above.most devs put it in the instructions to eliminate some random problems that can happen rarely. I have never done it and go out of my way to avoid master clears

you can still use odin one-click to do the master clear. I tested on my own phone, but not for reflashing to stock rom since you are on build 1010.
Instead of using ODIN do to do master clear, can't you use the format command in the phone settings?
Settings > SD card and phone storeage > Format SD card
I've ran an Odin Master clear, and then flashed back to stock... But all of my files are still on the phone after flashing back to stock, just on the stock 2.1 rom? Is this supposed to happen?
When you master cleared, list steps you did.

USB Debugging mode -> Launched Odin 1-click on PC -> Plugged in phone via USB -> Master Clear
Maybe they're files on your external SD card if you have one? It only deletes files off of the internal SD card.

Nope; was doing this from internal only (removed the external completely when reflashing, master clearing, etc). I did a phone format of the internal SD and flashed over that, and nothing seems to have broken yet... Is that safe?

maybe try performing factory reset with your stock 2.1 rom and see if it helps.
Do master clear after flashing to stock and just make it says in he Odin that master clear is done successfully...
Ok so ive noticed after several changes to my phone flash new rom, flash back to stock, flash new rom, back to stock, new kernel, ect. My program storage partion has changed from 1.3 Gb to 800 mb or so... Ive read that there was some issues with repartioning the program storage but i was curious if anyone has actually figured out how to do this... Or what might have changed it so i can get my space back!

Right now im running stock froyo w existz voodoo kernel but i have voodoo lagfix disabled so i can use an ext2 lagfix...

Your lagfix is likely the culprit. Once you disable the ext2 lagfix everything will show normally.
Thank you.. Now has anyone figured out how to repartion the program storage yet? Or some how change the partion tables to all more space on the sd for programs?

Hi, i just flashed the ICS alpha 6 to my capitavte and im trying to mount my sd to my computer but when i plug it in, i get no options to choose mass storage and etc. Anybody know how to fix this?
Make sure usb debugging is checked.

nothing happens when i check the debugging
ICS removes the USB feature of the phone, you have to mount in Recovery.
