Diamond V Touch

Morning all
With the upcoming release of the diamond, it is time for me to retire my Touch (elf)
My question is about processor speeds and memory. I love my touch, but the major problem i have with it is the memory in it is poor - and the processor speed is quite slow.
So with all of the fancy graphical stuff on the diamond, is this going to take up all of the memory and affect the speed? or is the new processor better equipped?
Just trying to decide between the diamond or the raphael.... hmmmm

Even I'm faced with the same dilemma. Since I bought the touch I changed to the TYTN II and TOuch Cruise but ended up going back to the touch coz of its size and ease of use.
I think the Raphael is more or less a kaiser with some frills, so Id stay away from that if size is a issue.
The Diamond has192mb and the Raphael 256mb... may not be a big difference.
Id like to hear some opinions as well..

yeah i think the rapheal will be too big..
what memory does the orignal touch have? 128MB?
192 isnt that much morereally... when you think about how much more work it is going to be doing with image and animation caching...

I have a Touch too, but I will definitely be getting a Touch Diamond. The Touch Diamond won't be particularly slow because of TouchFLO 3D, and the amount of RAM available with TouchFLO 3D running will make you wonder how you ever used to put up with your Touch.

The original Touch has 64MB of RAM, so the Touch Diamond has a lot more. The Touch Diamond is, apparently, the official successor to the original Touch, so Touch owners should get a Touch Diamond - it lacks all of the problems that the Touch had.

blimey! 64MB RAM!! the 192 is sounding better now! well that has pushed me towards it...

Pre-buy questions

Hello, I want to buy Diamond, could someone please help me? I just want to know 3 things. 1, If I will buy english version, can I in future flash english´s version ROM to my regional ROM? I mean after Diamond come in my leanguage can i just flash this ROM to english Diamond at home? 2, Previous versions of HTC had some problems with GDI, GAPI atc. , is Diamond in this way all right? With no problems or no QTv hack needed? Is as powerfull as normal Intel Xscale 520MHz CPU? and the last one : 3, Can I run QVGA games on it´s VGA screen ? How will it look like?

I think what these guys are saying is true.
We do have a 528MHz processor.
But apparently the 528MHz Chip is not giving its full punch.
With these specs, the Diamond should be raising hell.
Not that I am not 100% satisfied with my gorgeous device but....
There is a lot of blame pointing to the 3D Drivers.
What you fellas think?

it,s possible increase incoming call vloume ?

remember I'm a musician and I know how to work with audio files, then you are free to ask to me everything about this type of files
I've attached 2 files, one mp3 and one wma, they should be identical, use what you want. Obviusly I've gained the volume, using a good tool to do the mastering of audio files(used on high level music production).

Thanks for the favor that you have made me but provandolo on the HD the volume is still low, what tool you used? You can still raise or we have to think a solution to make a way for increasing the original incalling volume in hd?

Umm, I can try to gain some db. But I've never felt people complain about HD volume. I'll try. Anyway, I've used Nuendo with L3 multimaximizer plug-in
umm, posso provare ad incrementare di qualche db. Ma non ho mai sentito persone lamentarsi del volume dell'HD. Proverò. Ad ogni modo, ho usato Nuendo con in plug-in L3 Multimaximizer.

Proof perhaps on your and see if the volume when you called persuades you, if you increase it so much so that you feel good when you called will realy grateful to you
prova magari sul tuo e vedi se il volume quando ti chiamano ti convince,se riesci a aumentarlo tanto che si senta bene quando chiamano te ne saro davveo grato.

HELP: 40% battery after 16 hours of charging

Hi,
I've a big problem with my htc diamond and its 900 mAh original battery. After 9 months of middle-high usage I can't charge my battery more than 40%. Charging is very very slow (40% after 16 hours of charging)
A couple of weeks ago everything was ok.
Is my battery broken?
Is it an HTC problem?
Is there something i could do?

ho un grosso problema con il mio HTC diamond e la sua batteria originale da 900mAh. Dopo 9 mesi di utilizzo medio-alto non posso più caricare la batteria oltre il 40%. La ricarica è lentissima (raggiunge il 40% dopo 16 ore)
Un paio di settimane fa sembrava che tutto andarre bene.
E' da sostituire la batteria?
E' un problema del telefono?
Posso fare qualcosa?

i wouldnt say that..i have dimoand for a year and i dont have this problem...dont know about this problem
try use dimoand until device shuts down and than try to charge the phone..

Try using the battery conditioning program.
I don't know the name nor the link, but I know it's in Development and Hacking.
That'd be your best bet.

Well, I had something like that once, but it was a problem with display only because after soft-reset it showed full battery.
