I'm now using Froyo 2.2 XWJPA and every time it reboots, only system volume goes off automatically and I have to get into the sound mode to turn it on. I don' t know what happens to the firmware. I have done nothing to it....just updated to 2.2, fresh one....
If you guys know about this issue, please help me.
Thanks

Hi guys, I was upgrading my galaxy i9000 to Froyo 2.2 when suddently the phone turn off. Now it does not turn on. I tried to access to the recovery mode, but it does not work. The only way it starts is in donwloading mode. What can I do ??? ... Please help me !!....
Do you know how to use odin? If so, try flashing jh2 from samfirmware.com. Depending on the cause if your problem, you'll either recover or will be sol
Good luck
Thank you so much !!! It worked !!!!!
SOLUTION: Flash JPU with PIT.
Hello all,
Today I tried reflashing xxJPY after accidentally applying a heavy undervolt. However, my dog somehow managed to knock the phone off my desk while flashing.
EDIT: I managed to succesfully reflash xxJPY, I don't know how, or what I did, but it somehow booted to download mode.
However, my poor Galaxy is now stuck in a bootloop. Both the stock rom, and a 10 day old backup play their boot animations, but after a couple of vibrates they both reboot. The vibrates are the same as when an application force-closes.
Any thoughts?
Quipeace.
EDIT2: Reflashed again, but still looping. Also did a factory reset.
Volume up key. Home key and power on all at the same time. This should put you into recovery mode.
Hope this helps....

Or better still same as above but volume down key takes you to download mode. If stopped mid flash recovery will likely not work.

Hey,
I don't know what I did, but I managed to reflash xxJPY. However I'm now facing a bootloop.
Anyone had that before?

JJEgan, thanks, that worked. I was already downloading JPU, hoping that a three part flash would fix it.
Thanks for your time
Sorry for the thread title, but I really dont know how to explain my problem in a few words.
First of all, I´m brazilian, so sorry for my bad english (also, Google Translate is helping me lol).
Well, a friend of mine asked me to unlock and make phone calls possible on his T-Mobile Galaxy Tab (T849). He brought it from US a few days ago.
After a lot of searchs, I found a thread about exaclty what I wanted to do.
I did exactly what is told there and it worked! I even made a call to myself!
But then I tried to update the Tab to Gingerbread 2.3.3 from samfirmware.com
And my problems began.
Skipping the whole process to not bother you, the last thing I did was flash the TMobile Stock Rom with Odin. But now the screen just wont turn on! But I know the Tab is working! I turn it on and I can hear the boot sound. I press the unlock (on/off) button, slide my finger to unlock the Tab and when I press the touch buttons, the Tab vibrates. And also when I press the volumes buttons, I can hear the volume increasing and decreasing!
When I turn it off and try to boot on download mode, Odin recognizes it and when I try to flash a ROM, Odin does it and the Tab reboots, but the screen remains off. When I boot it on download mode, the screen doens turn on, I know that it is in download mode because of the "Added" information on Odin.
Does anybody know what might be the problem?
I know I screwed up everything when I tried to update.
Anyway, I tried everything. But nothing works.
Thanks in advance!
Well! Problem solved!
Just flashed 001001-GB-stock-safe_v5!
The modem switch will work with the new gingerbread too. Just set out up the same way.
To root the gingerbread you have to flash the CF-Root v3.3 kernel. If you don't, the gscript won't work.
Hello, I have this intermittent problem with my galaxy mini s5570... sometimes when I tried to wake up the phone the screen will not wake up... if I go to the android market I can see that the phone is still turned on as it shows the phone as online... however there are no gestures or button combinations that allow me to start using the phone again. I must pull the battery and reboot.
At the moment my phone is rooted however I had this same problem before I rooted it. My friend has an identical galaxy mini that is unrooted and he has the same problem.
Does anyone have any fixes or suggestions to solve this problem?
The next time it happens I will post a alogcat log.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Same firmware problem ?
Try flashing XXPK firmware.
Use Odin n flash a New Firmware,,it would solve ur prob if ur phone do goes to Download Mode..!!
Hi folks,
While this morning my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 was installing an (auto) update from an app (unfortunately I do not know which one), the phone rebooted. But it got caught in the start up screen (Samsung S animation logo). After a while the phone vibrates like there is an app which crashes...
I don't know how to solve this problem, as a factory reset (startup with volume button pressed etc.) did not work out...
Does this issue sound familiar to anyone of you? Thanks for any help...
Regards,
EJ
"as a factory reset (startup with volume button pressed etc.)"? i haven't heard of that one... do you have clocworkmod recovery? Try Volume Up+Home key+Power when/if you get into recovery try a factory reset wipe cache dalvik cache. Try to flash a new rom using odin... to bad that this happened from an app update...
Done that, didnt work.
now fixed though after using the Video Guide of Darky's Resurrection Edition v9.2 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940671.
My SGS is back into business, seems to be working even better then before I bricked it. Thanks Darky!
