Hi,
I flashed my phone samsung galaxy s i9000 (standard) pda xxjf3, phone xxjf3, csc Raje5 To froyo xxjpc via odin as kies would not update.
The problem is phone is not recognising my sim cards now im on orange uk, but I have tried a few others phone is def unlocked.
I think the xxjpc update is for another country, Im not sure which one I should use in the UK, Is there anyway I can fix this or restore to original stock rom.
I just hope I haven't goosed my phone, any help would be greatly appreciated.
do *#1234# and check what phone/modem version it says
i had the problem that it was Unknown after a flash, had to restore my efs folder from a backup to fix it

HI i upgraded my T-Mobile sgs to the 2.2 firmware using the kies patcher my question is now is there a way for me to default back to the t-mobile 2.2 software?
Regards

Yes use the original T mob rom you saved with Kies Patcher .
Then update to current TMob via standard Kies .
NO SAVED ROM
Read Kies Patcher and find out how to spoof registry and or flash back to Eclair using Odin and then update via standard Kies update .

Backup original ROM
Is there any way to backup my original (branded) ROM?
I intend to flash another ROM on my phone, the I9000BVJJPD one, which is the same a friend of mine has on his phone, an i9000B from Brazil. He got the 2.2 upgrade via Kies, but mine didn't, so I contacted Samsung and they said that my phone was branded and so it couldn't get the upgrade.
Since both are basically the same models, I wish to flash to the unbranded ROM, but I'd like to keep my original ROM as backup in case something goes wrong. Since it's not available in the web, how can I make the backup myself?
By the way, my current version, from *#1234# is I9000BVJJI1
hello guys,
Firstly let me state that I am not a very technical person.
Here is the problem,
I have the above phone on Eclair 2.1, plugged it into Kies and Kies offered to update to the latest firmware which is obviously Froyo 2.2.
Everything went fine, the phone rebooted and it appeared that the software had installed correctly. However, I noticed that I could not get any signal, not just that but the phone is now stuck in flight mode.
When I go to Wireless & Network --> Mobile Networks it does not even let me into that option. It says "Insert Sim card - Insert Sim Card to access Network Services".
On top of that, when I click on About Phone --> Status there isn't even an IMEI number!
I have tried to rollback the upgrade, tested the sim card in another Galaxy S (it works fine) so I know this is a software problem.
Does anyone out there have any advice so I can get my phone working again?
regards
Chris
Remove sim card and sd card then factory reset then set up as a new phone would be my first step .

Hi there,
Firstly thank you for your help.
That step did not work, I just tried it. So what would you suggest now?
I was thinking of re-installing the firmware again...thing is Kies won't allow me to do this again as it already thinks the firmware is up to date.
This is a really bizarre problem...any further suggestions?
Thank you in advance
Two choices one take it to Samsung for repair as Kies broke it .
Second choice would be to invalidate your warranty and flash basic stock rom via Odin this would be at your own risk .

Hi
My SGS won't recognize my SIM card.
A little background I was running froyo ugjl2 from bell i guess but I actually am with Sasktel. I tried to flash jpy the phone wouldn't load and tried to return to jl2 now i get it to load up but not to recognize my SIM. Any help would be appreciated. Tried to access the Mobile network settiongs but can't get into it. I am thinking of flashing jh2 then connecting to kies to get the official jl2 will this work?
Thanks
flashing through kies should do the trick as it 'theoretically' should put the phone back to how you got it....
you can use the registry patch for kies to get the latest official firmwares (even if not in your region)
or you can manually download it and flash thru odin.. but either way flashing back to stock should fix you up
Hi I flashed my phone using rom kitchen but before i did it i backed up my phjone using CWM, I believe o2 are starting to roll out the official 2.2.1 upgrade so i restored my phone using CWM, now my phone says it is
pda jp6
phone jpy
csc o2ujp3
but when i connect it through kies it says its
csc jp3(XEU)
and it cannot be updated
so, can anyone tell me how i can get kies to read it as o2ujp3 instead and if so how, i have read about spoofing kies but dont know what to do or what to put in where thankyou
Flash back your original rom that you saved which you have done i would then factory reset .
2.2.1 O2 Uk I wont bother wait for Gingerbread .

Hi Guys, Im a bit new to all this but ...
After updating my old phone a mate asked me to have a go at his Galaxy S I9000.
Rooted ok updated to ICS and got heaps of errors poping up randomly. so I did a restore which failed to the point CM recovery couldn't mount anything so I found and followed instructions to recover a soft bricked phone which included PDA PHONE and CSC files,
This got rid of the errors but wouldn't recognize the SIM at all. so I tried another restore to the nandroid backup (figured I had nothing to lose), now it recognizes the Sim, has an IMEI, efs and csc folders/files. if I go to settings all the settings are back in there (Vodafail Australia) but I get no signal....not sure where to go from here....do I need to find another CSC for it or what...ANY help would be much apreciated Ta
just to clarify the phone if Vodafone branded, network unlocked and useing an Amaysim SIM (optus carrier)
have you tried flashing a different baseband
