Well, I don't know how or why, but my device memory is very low. I have .09 MB left. I install everything onto my internal storage, so I don't know why this is happening. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? A program that tells me where all my memory is gone? How to clear it up? Help appreciated ASAP, thanks.
At a guess, this is error refers to RAM (program memory) rather than storage memory. How often do you soft-reset? What ROM are you using?
Soft reset then go to Start>Settings>System>Memory and check the figures. Anything less than 40MB program memory free is abnormal.
Edit: These are my figures with my heavily customised (non-TF3D) install. I did have an additional 8MB free but I've started using the HTC dialer again now that the clever people here at XDA-developers have got it working properly!
Davey, how come u have so much space i have only 84 MB total and 40 MB is free right now...
U have 146 MB total ??

Go into the browser that you use (IE, Skyfire, Opera. etc) and goto the settings and delete history, temp files, cookies...hell delete what ever you can within there (not bookmarks) and it will free it up...by default, browsers leave there temp files and **** on the phone storage

That's down to the choice of ROM. I don't need TF3D so I chose one without it (Panosha Shimple) leaving masses of storage memory free. I won't need to flash again for a long time (hopefully) because I can update programs individually as they become available.

also it depends on the amount of programs you have intalled!!! because i also had this problum but at that i was thesting all the apps avaliable for diamond so i had about 120 apps installed all on internal memory , this is because eventhough we install in internal memory some part of the app is also installed in the main memory!!! try removing unwanted apps that will deffinately help!!
and what about your media files i mean the my documents folder on the main memory.... whats the size of that??
I soft reset at least twice a day. ROM 1.13.671.2.
I'll take a screenshot in a bit to see how much memory is being taken up.
As for the document thing, I don't have anything on the main memory. All my ringtones, songs, videos, and pictures are on the internal storage.
After a soft reset and removal of apps and clearing of cache, i have 16 mb free. Still want to free up some more space, any ideas?
i think you should just flash a new ROM.. i'm using dutty 3.6 Final.. and i usually have around 40% free memory.. only when i go on internet it jumps up to 70ish% usage
My usage is low, average around 30%. I just don't have much storage memory left.
You can find where your storage is going with Treesize.

none because that is a 2.1 browser but its a sense browser so check out 3rd sense it has the sense browser so it should be similar enough. i dont use the stock browser so i really dont remember it that well so that may not be exactly what your looking for... worth a try though
Thank you for replying...
Where do I get that one? Sorry to be a pain, but I want a 2:2 rom but I just don't like

I wouldnt go for that rom if the browser if what you want the most since it has some javascript issues and makes the browser crash when opening some pages, you can disable that in the browser settings but some peolpe are still getting the crash... if you want to try it anyways here is the link to the thread.

If you dont like the mobile view then why dont you just go into settings for your browser and turn off the mobile view.

you should use a2ext because there are problems with the 2.2 apps2sd. meaning no widgets can be moved because they dont show up, launchers cant be move because they dont show up most of the time, the entire app isnt moved to the sdcard only part of it so you still lose memory, dalvik-cache is still on internal which is almost hte same size as the app itself which takes up tons of memory... but still if 2.2 is a big issue then definitely go with cyanogen it seems to be the most stable and it does have a2ext support just not enabled. but that is easy enough to enable also partitioning your sdcard is easy enough as well so i would look into that
thank... i dont really know how to do a app2ext... if u have a link so i can do that will be nice... i like the cm.... but the problem with that one is the browser... i know im picky like that... and thanks to all of u who replied to this thread...

Keyboard super tiny as well! Topa100 here! A slow on Angry Birds, but ran fantastically!
Looking forward to see it running from phone memory instead of memory card!!!
Hi,
I hope, it's the same Version I'm trying actually, so here's my feedback:
TOPA100, Gingerbread Release GBX0A dated 12/02, no overclocking
1st impression: running very fast and very stable, no problems with basic functions
problems after detailed check:
1) GSM/3G signal reception is weak in comparison to FRX04 (cannot receive a 3G sig at a place where I usually have one under FRX04 or WiMo)
2) GPS not working
positive things to mention:
1) faster than FRX04
2) wakeup is working stable
3) switching on/off WiFi (have to activate it in WiMo first, of course) works stable even after 12-14 hours
4) Camera not working, but the app doesn't crash in photo mode
5) with a for me "normal" kind of usage (longer standby periods, checking SMS/MMS around every hour, receiving email every 30 minutes, some WiFi action, testing some apps, one or two calls) I have a battery duration time of somewhere between 18 and 24 hours
Conclusion for the devs: why not switching over to Gingerbread?
Cheers
Zap
Good system
Zaphod_b_1 +1
I have the same comments.
I installed FLash 10.1 . It doesn't crash the browser like in froyo. but nothing displays.
The sensor doesn't work so most games and the landscape mode won't work.

SD card is still working for me
Have you got the latest rootfts?
Double checked and updated kernel and rootfs, sdcard mounts but settings show free space and total as unavailable and various apps say there's no sdcard whereas some find it without a problem.

I'm pretty sure the problem is that we're running it off the SD card, so it recognizes that as the phone and then can't find another source, as there isn't one.
Some apps work for me and some don't

Reboot phone, rebooting FCs all apks,so its just a temporary solution.Clearing ram is also recommended
Sent from my fingers to your face, take it or leave it.

Don't worry about it? Empty RAM is wasted RAM, why do you to power silicon that holds no data? The phone manages memory better than you can...

I would need to worry about it if its draning my battery?
And how exactly is it draining your battery? Any Evidence? CPU is normally used by running applications...

Android is best known for task managing so no need to worry about it.System apks, live wallpapers all need ram.And no ram doesnt eats battery but cpu does

Don't use a task killer, it closes apps that ran in backroundand need to run in backgroungd in order for the phone to ran the rom normally.the best task killer out there is the ics task manager and samsungs task manager

Having empty space of ram helps the battery to stabilize and helps opened applications run faster.

Well sir if ram managing is your problem, then I have the perfect product for you!
Ram Manager.
Set it to Balance (More Multi tasking) or Hard Multi tasking and you'll be running as many apps as the phone can handle.
How is everyone doing today?
Ok so I use the Device Care App all the time and recently I noticed that when I click on Memory and it says something like 800MB so i would tap Clear Now. What i noticed that after it is done if I go back and do it again instead it being lower than 800MB its higher, and it takes a few times going back and clearing the memory.
Does anyone have any ideas ?
Thank you all in advance.
