I have successfully gotten gingerbread to boot and run at a decent speed.
Alot of things are not fixed yet but I will be working on it.
I have one heck of a busy schedule for a little while so it may take some time,
but Gingerbread is coming to Vogue/Polaris/Kaiser!
Bugs:
Network
Sdcard
Camera
Music
Rogue Tools
Sounds great! Hope everything goes along nicely.
Awesome... i quickly tried to compile and boot but failed Glad to see someone trying though! Lemme know if you need a hand willing to help out when not studying for exams/christmas stuff.

Time to bring the Vogue out of retirement *again*
Excellent!
Thanks for your enthusiasm
Great job.. Thanks a lot
Great!
Thanks jholtom! Can't wait for gingerbread
keep up the good work.
sorry i can't help anymore, my vogue is already dead for a week now. plan to switch to iphone 4 or maybe desire.
I've also been trying out gingerbread aosp, I've made new branches in the sourceforge repos and it compiles and boots fine (with the correct init and sysinit.rc).
Can you push any changes you make to git (pm me if you don't have access).
One thing you need to do to make the blit engine work is modify frameworks/base with the attached patch.
I'm not going to do much more with this since I don't have a connected vogue now so I'll leave it to you.
Thanks.

dzo,
We all thank you, and we appreciate your willingness.
Fantastic - looking forward to it. My Vogue just keeps on going... as long as it does, I have a hard time convincing myself to finally upgrade. It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that I'll be trying out Gingerbread.

I want to contribute a theme badly.
I've attempted to sign files, and Alt + S my theme but to be completely honest I'm not good at following tutorials. (i bricked it and had to re-flash). pft.
I wouldn't mind making a theme... as far as editing the images.
I have this so far (please do not take my idea as an advantage to make your own theme and recieve credit... if you'd like to release this with me, help me turn it into a theme)....

I can finish the theme... I just need help creating it (as far as signing/update.zip blah blah blah)...
So if you're interested in helping me, please message me and i'll provide all the resources (icons, bg, clock, etc) for us to make it a release .
This is not what I want the finale theme to look like.. it's just an idea.
Thanks y'all! <33
signing is not hard at all, can i assume you use windows???

yes, lol.
vista home prem.
Just a little proposal, add some white dots on the clock, would make it a heck of a lot easier reading the time

i'll definitely do that.
I'm just trying to make it as universal as possible so it'll look nice with any kind of wallpaper.
Basically why i'm sticking to the greyscale.
Looks nice. I'll be waiting for it to come out.
then all you need to do is make sure you have java installed and download the auto-signer program that Stericson made for us to use. it's quite easy i'll go get a link and post the thread link here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=473580&highlight=autosign
if you are still having issues after that then you can send me the "finished" theme and i will post it saying that you created the theme and i simply signed it
signing with vista prem is a pita, especially with a 64bit machine. I've never gotten it to work and stericson and I have spent time trying to get it to work when it won't. I have to do all my signing once a theme is built on my old xp machine. Might be why the op is having issues with signing
I have a 32bit vista laptop, but even then i just suck at tutorials.
I attempted to make the theme... and i ended up bricking my device.
I got it back up and running, so i'm scared to attempt again.
I'll follow the tutorial one last time and see if it works, and if not... then i'll upload the "finale release" and have it signed for it to be released.
I currently have a "coark board" concept in my head so i'll see if I can make several ideas to sumbit.
I had nothing to do today, so i made this concept ;p
It's the first time I attempt to project themes for android ^^
Is any1 interested in coding this for cyanogen? ;D Ill give the original psd!
Its name is atlantis!

I second that. Really unique.
i REALLY like the launcher. hate the huge Hero clocks though. those are the most annoying, though, it dosnt matter because everyone has their choice widgets anyways lol.
cant wait to see more screens!
edit: love the "bubbly" look on the notification bar icons as well.
edit2: third the Atlantis
+1 atlantis...seems to just fit
looks very good tho
hope this theme gets made
More concept screens added
I like it! The dialer will be to hard to read in the sun.
Looks nice! I'd love to play around with this but my theming skills are limited right now, still learning.
Bello, complimenti..
looking good...hope it makes it!
the only thing that i think would be hard to work out is in the notification drop down, the standard color for the button would make it hard to read since the default text throughout android is black. other then that it looks amazing and highly doable.
I've been secretly learning and making themes for myself for a while now. I'll take on the project. PM me the details and lets get this thing going!!!
Eclair dialer added!
I know someone else is already working on a theme and it looks good so far but I wanted a crack at it too. Unfortunately I work at the speed of light going backwards and have a really short attention span most of the time. So far all I've got is a slight variation on the tray but it works. If anyone wants it I used the latest CyanogenMod Launcher for this so it should be fine with most Donut based builds.
http://www.r4wr.co.uk/android/Launcher.zip
It's inside the zip file. I thought about renaming the .apk to .zip but I didn't want the headache of having to explain how to change file extension if someone asked
I edited a launcher too
here it is http://www.fileden.com/getfile.php?.../files/2009/6/24/2487719/AdvancedLauncher.apk

Nice I like the theme that's came out of this but I'd spent a little time doing some of the notification icons so I pushed them in. Here's a few. They're all part of the framework-res.apk file.
okay guys, I'm almost ready to publish a new 1-click rooting exe, but I really hesitate for its icon.
So, what do you think, people ?

Smile, please... say crisis...
hmm I didn't get what you meant
it's not important.xD
how you did it? i usually got error when pushing files
come on vote
I did some research and assembled known methods into one file. It exploits psneuter as SOC does but, I hope in a better way. I managed to root 10C-E and also 11C like that in less than 20 sec. It works each time without errors. I told you that the key is the order of cmds
This one, if i may suggest to add a stroke around it's mouth

In spain, when someone is going to take us a photo, we commonly say "pa-ta-ta" in order to be smileing on the photo without the need to force-smile...
In english, people say "cheese" or "cri-sis" in order to mantain the mouth semi-open and showing the teeth...
Smileing, please...
I like the simple one, without CRISIS It looks more professional... BTW I don't care what the icon looks as long as the app works!
first one for me
It's better with a big smile
@Huexxx okaaaay lol well I think the smiling one won
would you like a wallpaper like that ?
Thanks for voting guys.
App is ready, please check my thread !
[Q]:Where is your thread???
[A]:Here! It's very hard to search for a particular post of a particular user in a very big thread.. so you know!
P.S.: Thank You!

Here we go. Here a new rooting process I've developed according to my knowledge and based on known methods. It uses the psneuter exploit in a better way, I hope. I called it BlackJack
1 clic, 20 secs, no errors. Tested on 10C-E / 11C (bouygues)
It should be P970 designed, but since "yaffs2" mount is used, it could be used for another P970-like device. These are suppositions. Tell me if I'm wrong.

So here is the case. After seeing the great job our devs have done, I've been inspired. I will try to learn basic stuff which I will hopefully deliver to our great little phone.
Before starting out I want to give a HUGE thanks to our devs, whose Thanks buttons should be smashed crushed and pulverized by you people.
What will I do you ask? My first project will be a CM9 Overclocked kernel.
And yes I know nik is going to do that, but i wanted to bring in some competition >:3
Since I am a rookie ANY tips, hints, advice or whatever is so greatly appreciated.
Now read the big letters.
Do NOT hit the thanks button.
I have NOT done anything to deserve it.
Once again advice is greatly appreciated, and fingers crossed for another developer to be born ;3
That is all.
Any updates, thoughts will be posted right here on this very post in BOLD with a timestamp.
I just like to keep in touch with the people that care about stuff I do.
(Edit 21:05 1/5/13): I wish I had dual monitors right now.
(Edit 22:33 1/5/13): Trucking along the command line has never been more annoying. Damn directories...
(Edit 23:49 1/5/13): Epicly battling with code.
(Edit 01:15 2/5/13): After hitting my head on the desk by falling asleep I decided to call it a night. I managed to squeeze in a SmartassV2 governor but couldn't find the aclock file for our device resulting in no over clock for now. Tomorrow I will be traveling and will be returning on the 3rd of may. So I guess nik will have beaten me by then. Doesn't matter. I will continue work on this kernel ASAP. Thanks for the support, it means so much for me. I will try to not dissapoint. Love from Bulgaria.
(Edit 16:09 3/5/13): Work resumes with full force. Im back female canines.
(Edit 19:24 3/5/13): Trying very hard to compile, but errors keep popping up. It should be nearly done though. I smell victory up ahead.
(Edit 23:16 3/5/13): I managed to create a monster. And then failed at correcting it. The boot.img will be up here if anyone wants to see a phone with 61mhz undervolt and 830 overclock.
(Đ•dit 13:48 4/5/13): I got my boot.img ready. Problem is CM9 doesnt recognize it as its own and Revolution rom doesnt boot. Working on a way to fix it.
(Edit 02:15 5/5/13): Flawless victory achieved. NOPE kernel get.
Good for you mate, we need more people like you, who are willing to learn and bring new things to the community.

Good luck with your future work and have my thanks . Also check xda university and xda chef section, there you can learn some interesting facts. Looking forward to play with your kernel. By the way, if you have any question about C++ ask me and I'll try to help you with that.
Download links.
Visit my thread for a finalized version of my kernel!
Credits go to nikhil for helping me out with some stuff and using his kernel as reference.
If you want me to take down the link, just say so. :3
Female canines made my day!
My birthday btw, but that's off topic

Since last time we have no seen any official maintainer for LOS or other custom roms, however, right now will be an exception, today I decided to jump into the build process instead of be a tester only, right now it can't be certain when and how official build will arrive but I'm glad to say I'm going to be a maintainer for LOS 14.1 and beyond or maybe it sound great how I was thinking, I have a work by now that I need cover and not to mention that there's other devs that will be helping me but they also have a live outside, so please be patient if you're a tester, we would like to push official support on our side and on our devices but for next coming months, everything is not gonna be easy, right now our Calpella device is fetching the lineage source codes, as I've stated before, building requires great hardware which provides good builds times, also that having more great hardware more easy will be bring more builds for our devices, right now will start doing only m7spr builds and when everything get set up, I'll bring m7vzw builds,
Again I know what it seems but is up to you, but I repeat, again, building requires a great hardware, since having more ram, a good CPU and having SSD's, if you would like to donate even knowing that I'm not recognized as a developer then it will be okay, as I've stated in previous post, You can donate with computer parts and or with money but, AGAIN! it is up to you guys, this is just the start of everything that going beyond this more and more.
Any help from dev would be appreciated and also will be great having help from users as well, this is not a hook or guide how to compile here, not even tried to cover up or do a guide as they're already wrote in the wiki pages of current bases (Los, Aicp, RR, etc.)
Right now the only thing we need is a help from other devs and also help from you guys, yeah, the one that still rock with this old device, and that's because I'm downloading this over a 56kbps connection and not to mention that I'm living in a mountain basically, but that's a limit in my connection and I want to subscribe to another service provider.
