***[THEME]***[CM6STABLE] // 10/06/2010 SynestrLabs ARMY Theme

Hello everyone!
Well about a month ago a member here asked if anyone was up to making an ARMY theme and I opted to do so since I was getting into themeing. What a long road it has been. Had a few hurdles here and there but with a little assistance here and there, long hours in front of an outdated pc, a few headaches and the wife nipping on my ear, I was able to produce this end result:

With this theme I included two originally created analog clocks that will take you to the alarms menu when pressed(I am rather proud of those, they are my very first "app" creation). This is my first attempt at a theme so be gentle, however I do welcome constructive feedback as I would like to get better at this.
Many thanks to those I have spoken to on little issues here and there and if I could thank the fine folks at google I would too, teh GOOGLEZ is awesome! Stevo, lithid, Krylon, MPAndroid, and any that I may have missed, thank you for your assistance here and there, it was greatly appreciated. MOST definately thank you to the CM Crew, without ya'll we would have no opportunity to create such themes. If I have left anyone or anything out I apologize upfront as that is not my intention.
I hope you enjoy this theme as much as I enjoyed making it ^^ Let me know if there is anything you would like to see added or removed, or if you have any speciffic requests, themes, clocks etc., and I will see what I can do!!

This is really amazing. Even though Im a ex-Jar Head, I wouldnt be ashamed to have this on my phone. This is really nice. Maybe a Marine Corp theme in the future?

I dont say this much but that is the most original theme I have seen in a long time... great job

Lol yea, original request was from a combat medic. I have about 20 other papers to use but ne need to finalize a wallpaper picker.
Next will be marine, air force and navy, hopefully sometime soon.

Thank you! Today is dedicated to incorporating the other branches, I hope to have them up by the end of next week.

GingerBread coming soon...

I have successfully gotten gingerbread to boot and run at a decent speed.
Alot of things are not fixed yet but I will be working on it.
I have one heck of a busy schedule for a little while so it may take some time,
but Gingerbread is coming to Vogue/Polaris/Kaiser!

sorry i can't help anymore, my vogue is already dead for a week now. plan to switch to iphone 4 or maybe desire.

I've also been trying out gingerbread aosp, I've made new branches in the sourceforge repos and it compiles and boots fine (with the correct init and sysinit.rc).
Can you push any changes you make to git (pm me if you don't have access).
One thing you need to do to make the blit engine work is modify frameworks/base with the attached patch.
I'm not going to do much more with this since I don't have a connected vogue now so I'll leave it to you.

Fantastic - looking forward to it. My Vogue just keeps on going... as long as it does, I have a hard time convincing myself to finally upgrade. It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that I'll be trying out Gingerbread.

Want something like this (below) made for your rom thread or to use in screenshot threads? Just give me all of the specifications and I will see what I can do. I am still in the learning process of all the tricks of doing this, but I have some skills with Photoshop so I figured I would put them to good use and help people out. *I make no guarantees that I will be able to find a usable picture of your type of phone or get it exactly as you want it, but I will do my best*
When requesting please specify:
-What type of phone you have/want the screenshots in.
-What type of background you want them on (transparent, gradient, solid, provide your own image).
-If you want reflections, shadows, your name, or anything else to go with it.
-You must provide your own screenshots for me to use.
-??? anything else you can think of.
This is a sample of one I made for a rom in the Incredible forum, yours doesn't have to look like this. This is just an example:
I also have the ability to make signature banners (check my signature for example) if you want those. Please remember that I am doing all of this just because I enjoy using Photoshop and helping people out. I will get to requests as my time permits and I make no guarantees. Actually if I was at home I would request some work for my DHD rom.
But ad I have internet mobile for couple of days, ill post here when ill be able.

Another day, another year and another useless thread for our G-Mini by me :highfive:

Most of us will be aware of these titles if u are regular to hangout @ XDA ;

Yeah you probably might say, who the phuck cares about these damn titles XD. I agree with u too, nothing changes even after we get a custom title.
But whats wrong in getting a little bit of "Recognition" for our works. After-all, why are most of us doin this ? For the sake of money ? nope..
Someone whips-up a cool icon set working for many hours or many bang their heads to solve bugs in ports/cooking roms and some do the impossible like porting cm 9/10/10.1 for our puny little device !
So for what ? Its all just for fun and only fun :angel:
It gives us pleasure and satisfaction to share our creations for free among other users, and why not a little bit of recognition among other users too...so why not a little title to set us apart ? ​
So what are the advantages ?
1. Ad-free browsing. [who the phck cares ? Most of us use add-ons to remove annoying ad's XD]
2. Special Forums
3. Special tools
Dont ask me what the last 2 are, even i dont know.
Our developer/cook/themer base is slowly growing so why not some "Recognition" for people of our phone too ?
Result ? Moderators, news writers, and other xda staff will take our device seriously even though we are a "Legacy Device"..
So what are the prerequisites to become a RC/RT/RD ?
1. Be an active member at XDA for more than 9 months.
2. Help people/beginners
3. Produce great works in development or themeing department.
4. The number of works should be at-least 7 to 10 according to XDA staff.
[Some relaxation might be given if the number of your works are less, but are exceptional.]​
So iff you feel worthy, and deserve the title just leave a comment along with your most recognizable "works" here at XDA. Some of our existing RC/RT/RD members can pass it on to any Senior Moderator or RC/RT Liaison Chiefs..
