judging from the pic it's a tall screen you got
other then that i'd sugest rocketdock in someways it's better then objectdock
not that i dont like that one i use both at once
but rocketdock got a stacking option which is a cool rip off of apples leopard's stack

maybe he's got a quad monitor setup stacked on top of each other
i've got duals stacked (i like it better than spread out)
but if i had quads, i'd roll with a 2x2 array

My HDD crashed about a month ago and I havn't really re-installed a lot of my stuff but yea my wallpaper makes up for it

New Phone Renders.

Hello,
Here are a few new renders Ive done for you guys.
This one is based on the Touch HD + the Zune HD, It has the snapdragon processor (1.3), 4gb onboard memory with MicroSD expansion (up to 32gb i believe?) g-sensor, HD FM radio, GPS, plus the usual items found on today's phones, and boasts a WVGA screen and 5mp Camera. Runs either Android Or WM6.5 (not dual booting, ^.^) and not seen in the render but has two external speakers (on the side) for better music and speakerphone quality.
Anyway, enough talk, heres the photos!

No, if you add one good feature, you have to take out another good feature. At least that's what it seems like they do.

Looks sweet.

Setup was:
Email and SQL Server on the Left (Laptop 1)
Visual Studio and "The App" on the Center (Laptop 1)
Another Copy of Visual Studio and "The App" on the Right - Also General Use Internet (Laptop 2)
Intranet / Resources / Specs, etc SQL Profiling and any other stuff on the Far Right (Laptop 2).

X2 or TG01 ?

I have enjoyed my X1, probably the best phone I have owned to date.
I have been considering the X2, but stumbled upon the Toshiba TG01

I'd have to say LEO as well.

I have expressed my opinion on the matter many times. TG01 SUCKS.
....peeps I had great hopes for the Leo, but it has a capacitive screen...nuff said.

Being pro resistive and anti capacitive is as silly as being pro capacitive and anti resistive. They have their own uses and it's only smart to know what you can do with either.
Of course the next complaint will be the lack of keyboard.

Why is that? Acer F1 has 256 mb onboard.

get an x2 or wait till something better comes out.
htc leo looks like crap but has good hardware.
tg01 looks like crap and has crap software. also i dont think they have used the hardware to maximize the hardware it has.
x2 has old cpu with some new stuff added but looks the best by far and has a keyboard. also the software looks very good but will have to wait for a good hands on to be sure.

Must admit, the more I look at the X2, the more I like.

Sell MacBook Pro and build PC, thoughts?

Howdy!
So heres the story, I currently own an early 2011 17" MacBook Pro with an 2.2 Ghz i7 Processor. Recently I've had an itch for a 27" iMac but the buffed version is well beyond my budget. So I had another idea, what if I sell my MBP for say ~1.5k and use that money to build a custom PC with similar specs of the 27" iMac. However as many people might know already, Apple released their new line of retina display MBP's in which they also discontinued the 17".
My particular MBP model happened to be the second to last model they sold so technically speaking, its not incredibly outdated compared to other 17" PC's in the market.
Here's where you guys come in. I have consulted with my family in the matter and all in all, they are very against my idea in saying that it would be a waste of money. Here's a few questions if you guys would be kind enough to give me your sincere opinion (Please leave the fanboyism out of this):
1) Since the 17" MBP was discontinued, do you see it rising in price due to its "rarity" or depreciating due to the new hardware in the new line of MBP's
2) Whats a realistic amount to ask for my 17" MBP (Full specs below)? The computer is in LN (Like New) condition I should add.
3) Anything else I should consider?

Oh wait, I forgot to mention that I would be installing OSX since I myself love OSX while the Windows 7 partition would serve for gaming and such.

Tech value will only go down (at least until it becomes Antique but I doubt you want to sit on a computer for 20+ years). As far as asking price you should probably shoot for roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of what you paid for it since it's in LN condition.
