I ported some of colored icon and decided to modify framework-res.apk, launcherpro.apk, phone.apk and settings.apk. Let me know how it looks.

Switch off your phone. Hold volume down button and then press power button. This will bring boot loader screen. Scroll down to recovery option (by pressing volume down button). press power button again. This will bring you recovery screen.
Note:
1. Your phone should be rooted
2. Your phone should have a custom recovery installed (Clockworkmod)
3. This theme will work only, if you have CM rom 6.1.0RC2 on your phone

ok so i did the one click root method tonight... so after i flashed clockwork and downloaded the cyanogen mod rc1 it told me to do a back up and reboot phone.. it rebooted and it goes into the boot animation screen.. it does the regular X color of the nexus then turns to the blue x .. after a few blue x's it stops then acts like it resets and goes back to the regular color, then back to the blue one..
it repeats itself over and over again.. been doin it for quite some time now.. like over three hours.. i pulled the battery and tried again, same thing..
im really really concerned about my phone now..
is there anything i can do??
please help me.. thanks
did you do the backup? Did you wipe prior to install? Did you use Rom Manager by any chance?
yes i did a back up.. and yes i used ROM manager... BUT i just now found out where the back up was.. i got thru! im going to try another recovery image and a diff rom..
ok, Amon_Ra is the one I prefer, I used it to flash CM6 RC2 only 4 hours ago.
-Cheers, good luck
ok thank you very much! is that image in rom manager?
can you also tell me what you did please... step by step..? i never done this b4 lol
sure, its very fresh (im probably only 24 hours ahead of you since my first root)
This should work, If anyone would like to double check this please feel free, I would hate to give someone bad info to go on.
so after clockwork gave me some issue to say the least i decided to go with Amon_Ra.
1)Shutdown
2)press power button and trackball at the same time
3)use vol-up and vol-down select "bootloader" using power button to select
4)then select "Recovery"
5)should now say clockwork on the bottom(trackball for movement and select in this menu) If it does not say clockwork or you see a exclamation mark in a triangle, you gave bigger problems then i can help you with
6)select wipe
7)select data, cache, and dalvik-cache to wipe So long as you only select those three options your sd card will remain ok and untouched
8)once done go back to main clockwork menu
9)select backup/resotore (or something similar) and hit restore nandroid(or similar)
10) if it asks you to pick which backup select the right one (you should only have one)
11)once done (and you get no errors) go back to clockwork menu and hit reboot, it should boot into your previous rom before you tried CM.
While here back in the working rom, make sure the end of your baseband version ends with "4.06.00.12_7" (menu > settings >about phone)
First go to the bottom of rom manager and hit "Flash Alernate Recovery" It should say RA Recovery
Once its done hit it again just to make sure it flashed (it should immediatly give you a comfirmation)
Then download CM6 RC2 (rom manager wont let you since it doesnt have clockwork anymore) go here and download the latest verions of CM and the google addon. Just download them to the sdcard.
Then reboot the phone in recovery:
1)Shutdown
2)press power button and trackball at the same time
3)use vol-up and vol-down select "bootloader" using power button to select
4)then select "Recovery"
5)should then say Amon_Ra on the bottom (if it does not or instead goes to exclimation triangle, boot back into regular and try flashing Amon_Ra again) (within this menu the trackball is now used to select and move through the menu)
6)since your current version is not working we wont backup, but normally you will select backup and do a nandroid backup
7) Instead of backing up go to wipe
8) wipe the data, cache, and dalvik cache. So long as you only select those three options your sd card will remain ok and untouched
9)go back (should be vol-down, should say at the top)
10) go to flash from sdcard
11)select the CM6 zip first (should ask for confirmation)
12)once done and no errors flash the google apps zip (also ask for confirmation)
13)once done go back to Amon_Ra main menu, and click reboot now
14)Enjoy CM
omg thanks!... question, do i download the radio as well?

That's why you need to see if your baseband number ended with "4.06.00.12_7" , if your baseband does not end with that number, then you will have to update your radio, something i have not done yet, and because of this I ask that if your baseband does not end with that number that you do not follow the rest of the steps. The steps leading up to you checking the baseband will reflash you back to how you were before trying to flash CM so you will have a working phone. However if your baseband is that number, ("4.06.00.12_7" ) then you will not have to do anything to the radio and you can continue the steps ignoring the radio altogether.
Also would any person more knowledgeable then I like to check my previous post to make sure it looks ok before this person does anything?
lol i did it, dont worry... it worked thanks man

when my telephone is powered off and I tried to boot in clockwork recovery, I was stuck in red triangle screen. How to boot my telephone in clockwork recovery mod?
tnx a lot
Edit: fakeflash is the way
Try pressing the vol up and power together. You should go into Stock recovery. If you have the update zip n your sd card and install zip from sd card then you may get the CWM recovery that came with rooting.
It should work but I cannot confirm. By which process did you root in the first place please ?
OK so you figured it out. Next time post your questions in the General section. thanks
First of all you must place the recovery update.zip to the root of your sdcard....then, when you
see the triangle must press the up volume button with the power button and then the option apply update zip from sdcard, thats it
Given the 900+ posts I have, I don't see how you can't know of Fakeflash
tnx a lot. _D

But this recovery is soooo good! Saving wear and tear on volume and power buttons by using the touchscreen, EFS backup option, time and battery meter, and intuitive menus like having the reboot option displayed right after you flash something. I'm loving this recovery.
Made a flashable zip of TWRP 2.0.0 RC0 since the link in th OP is not working : TWRP 2.0.0 RC0 flashable zip
I apologize for the link being down! It should be back up in about an hour!!! Sorry doing some very quick site maintenance... if you need the file very badly PM me and I'll get you it
OP updated, fixed the link.

Just FYI, you can also use the capacitive touch buttons in CWM (this is for the Nexus S): Return button returns to prev menu, Menu button marches down the list (like Vol), Search button executes (like Power), Home button goes to Main menu... Anyway, I like TWRP touch buttons interface too. One thing is selecting through the directory tree with small fonts and my fat fingers is kinda hard .

so, just to be sure: this is working for nexus s (especially i9023 in my case ) and not only for 4G? i dunno if this concerns the recovery in any way...
Tried the touchversion last night, but couldn´t get it to work.
Installs fine and I can press the buttons, but somehow when I try to flash a file nothing happens.
If I minimize the "buttons" so that I can see the log I can see an error stating that the SD-Card can´t be mounted or somthing like that... I can, however, browse the folders on the SD-Card, but can´t see the files inside. If the zip file is in the root of the SD card, I can select it, but then the errormessage is shown in the log.
Is this recovery compatible with an backup made with CWR? Can I "cross" between the recoverys?

Hello everyone,
new OFFICIAL ClockworkMod Recovery Touch for Nexus S (GSM) By Koush (all credits to him) download:
fastboot .img recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-crespo
How to install:
fastboot .img
1) Open a terminal on your pc and go with it in the /android-sdk/platform-tools folder where "fastboot" is located (maybe the path is different depending on what version of sdk do you have)
2) Copy in the folder containing "fastboot" the file touch-crespo.img
3) go with the phone in bootloader mode (volume up+power button) and link it to the pc with usb
4) now write this line fastboot flash recovery touch-crespo.img
If you did 1,2,3 correctly now you have touch recovery
If you like it, support the developer Koush buying touch recovery in Rom Manager Premium with in-app purchase
for people asking screenshot this is a video posted directly by koush:

Yeah I see those too.
Can anyone make this flasheble, as i cant get fastboot to work.
Flashed it. Working great so far. The scrolling of directories is kinda awkward. I'm using the capactive buttons to navigate the directories now (Menu to go down, Search to execute), seems easier and less accidental click from scrolling.
