[APP] BLN control - the official BLN settings app by neldar - Fascinate Themes and Apps

What does this app?
This application gives you control over the BacklightNotification settings on your phone.
What features does the Free version have?
enable/disable BacklightNotification function (without uninstalling bln)
test BacklightNotification
update function (notifies you about new BLN app, liblights or kernel releases)
Additional features in the Pro version:
scheduler (disable BLN at night, ...)
blinking:
select on/off led period
select overall blinking duration (5-60 minutes or unlimited)
select led status after blinking ends(on/off)
stop blinking if battery is below a selectable % level
call notification
Get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823922

Thanks for BLN. I got the pro version so I could use the schedule. I think the feature that I'd use most that I see as a future add on would be the widget support. If I had that, I probably wouldn't even need the scheduler as I'd be able to turn it on/off much easier than opening the app every time.

- Environment: Fix default mount point for external storage (backported from ics: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/d4bdc7b4da5811fccae578a1f3d4b5718762d40f) this fixes Camera saving issues on stock-mount style
- PDroid-Framework (v1.32) (seperate build)
FAQ
I cannot see the date, clock, battery and signal percentage! Why?
Thats a little blemish coming from the ported status bar tweaks.
This happens because the default status bar is black, either the textcolor of these items.
You need to change the text color in "System settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Interface -> Status bar tweaks -> Text Color" one time, then its fine.
My phone doesn't wake up after charging over night! WTF?
Enable "Stay Awake" in "System settings -> Application -> Development", this will prevent the "Charging SOD (screen of death)"
Don't be afraid to lock the screen manually when charging anyways. the enabled function is enough to prevent. There is no need to really keep the screen on while charging.

Skynet kernel for CM7/MIUI
mostly based on temasek's and ironkrnL
current version: v2.1
WARNING: I am totally NOT a professional kernel developer! I am just trying to learn with this. - Smashing code together and sharing my results. Do not use this if you wan't anything stable. Even if my kernel builds seem to run stable it doesn't mean that everything is cool with it.
As you know i am a total fan of ironkrnl, but im a bit pissed that it doesnt get updates, and i also wan't the new stuff like ksm and google snappy compression, so i started smashing this together This completely replaces the old BangMod-pack.
FEATURES (differences to cm-stock)
- Google snappy compression
- Voodoo Sound (get "Voodoo Sound" app from market for really using the advantiges of it)
- KSM support (saves ram, eats cpu)
- OC/UV (see table below)
- Ramhack (see available variants below)
- CIFS and TUN support, shipped as modules.
- Updated sensor drivers from LGE V20L
- BFQ scheduler updated to v3r2, and set as default
- SLQB slab allocator
- jRCU
- Linux v2.6.32.59
- automatic downclock to 503MHz max when screen off.
- Backported CRC32 improvements from linux 3.0.y
- SHA-1 patches from LKML (taken from jarvis github)
- Backported FSync Control v1 by Ezekeel.
- Benee's vibration control port, taken from wildfatduck github.
- Force fast charge patch by Chad Froebel. taken from jarvis github.
- Several LG updates/fixes. ported by faux123, wildfatduck, benee.
- other tweaks/fixes/optimizations by other kernel devs (see credits)
OPTIONS
RAMHACKS
replace the "64" in the filename with one of the following numbers
Every value between 0 and 96 will work.
Here some examples:
0 -- Everything is working
32 -- Everything is working
48 -- Everything is working
64 -- 1080p video recording/playback doesn't work
80 -- 1080p video recording/playback and some very heavy 3D games doesn't work (Chainfire3D texture resolution adjust help)
96 -- 1080/720p video recording/playback, and many 3D games doesn't work (Chainfire3D texture resolution adjust help)
FLAGS
rename the file with following options
-anim -- Disable installation of bangmod bootanimation
-basic -- Disable even the most basic tweaks (this would not exclude other tweaks. if not set will setup optimized values into autostart for the low memory killer (oom), the dalvik-vm and sd cards.)
-bravia -- Enable installation of sony bravia engine
-cam -- Enable installation of modded stock cam by kostja
-cron -- Disable installation of cron job for automatic cache dropping (a cron job on linux is an executed command on defined times. this one will clear the vm cache every 3,5 hours. keeps ram clean even if you don't restart for weeks.)
-dens -- Enable low density tweaking (210) for higher screen resolution.
-ffc -- Force fast charging. (Removes ability to transfer files)
-font -- Disable installation of roboto font
-fsync -- Disable fsync. (WARNING: disabling fsync may cause data loss! read more about what fsnc is here)
-fsc -- Force slow charging.
-gapps -- Disable installation of google apps
-jrnl -- Enable ext4 journal removal and 'risky' mount options (not recommended)
-keep -- Disable deletion of unnecessary CM apps (that means CMStats, CMUpdateNotify, LiveWallapapers, LiveWallapapersPicker, LiveWallapapersPicker, MagicSmokeWallpapers, VisualizationWallpapers, Protips)
-ksm -- Disable activation of kernel samepage merging
-log -- Enable log removal on boot
-nitz -- Install nitz fix for su660 basebands (will get removed if not set)
-prop -- Disable tweaking of build.prop
-sql -- Disable installation of tweaked sqlite.so
-uv -- Enable slight undervolt
EXAMPLE
The default filename is
"Skynet64_201205271152-bravia-cam-log-uv.zip"
which completely fits the settings of the old BangMod-pack. Just leave it how it is, if you trust and want my personal selection.
If you wanna change anything, this is an example to have a clean kernel-image-only installation without any tweaks/mods:
"Skynet0_201205271152-anim-basic-cron-font-gapps-keep-prop-sql.zip"
Change the flags/ramhack-number however you want your install, with the values descripted above.
OC/UV Table
Clock (MHz) | Default | with -uv
1408 MHz | 1250mV | 1200mV
1312 MHz | 1150mV | 1100mV
1100 MHz | 1050mV | 975mV
912 MHz | 950mV | 875mV
655 MHz | 900mV | 850mV
503 MHz | 875mV | 850mV
324 MHz | 825mV | 800mV
216 MHz | 800mV | 750mV (actually 770mV due to min cap)

hmm i wouldnt say "better" or "not better" its just that i always used ironkrnL since i have the p990 and i am absolutely happy with it. There was no reason for me to test any other one yet.
It is totally stable for me, so i recommend it.

[20130727]CM 10.1+HALO+OpenPDroid+Hardware Customisation

This is completely compatible with the official CyanogenMod 10.1 (and I'm planning to keep it that way), so you can switch to and from official without any problems.
The main focus of this ROM is to stay up to date with CyanogenMod 10.1 git branch and add features that allow finer grain customisation of hardware specific to the 4X.
What's added:
LG QuickMemo (hold Vol+ and Vol- to activate) [framework change]
Enable wake by pressing volume key setting [settings app change]
Control button backlight in System Settings (can stop it turning on whenever you touch the screen) [settings app + framework + hardware library change]
Button backlight used as notification light (can be enabled/disabled in System Settings) [settings app + hardware library change]
Button backlight used as battery light (recommend disabling in System Settings) [settings app + hardware library change]
Ability to dim backlight more than minimum (activate from ArararagiToolbox, otherwise like stock) [kernel change]
Ability to force fast charge even higher than default AC levels (activate from ArararagiToolbox, otherwise like stock) [kernel change]
20130502: Fix headset button (thanks to Wenque) Now in official CM
20130505: Disable baseband_xmm_power wake lock [kernel change]
20130512: Torch brightness control. You need to clear data for the Torch app. Default is the minimum possible brightness, rather than the stock CM 10.1 brightness. [Torch app + kernel change]
20130515: Fix known issues in torch brightness control caused by 20130512 changes. Clear Torch app data. [Torch app change] Disable touch debug printing in kernel. [kernel change]
20130602: Use new vibrator implementation in line with CM. Add baseband_xmm_power wake lock back in.
20130609: Uncap screen brightness
20130611: Disable baseband_xmm_power wake lock again. Now using Linaro 13.05 GCC 4.7 to build (user + kernel).
20130612: HALO ported from ParanoidAndroid
20130613.1: OpenPDroid
20130623: Enable ODEX
20130623: Use -O3 for compiling native components
20130623: Increase vibrator PWM duty cycle (should increase vibrator strength)
20130625: Tweak background process parameters
20130630: Add QuickMemo quick settings tile
20130707: Add LG Hidden Menu (only GNSS Test works at the moment)
20130713: Allow control of which backlight HVLEDs are enabled. Lets you make the screen even dimmer
20130716: Allow control of gamma LUT from user space. Let's you over saturate the screen colours
20130727: Add support for external GPS (http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/owner:ich%40morphew.de+status:open,n,z)
Check github for full changelog. Each release also includes changes from official CM.
Optional (can be installed as normal app):
Memobin.apk: LG Notes
AraragiToolbox.apk: Actually activating some of the features mentioned above
CameraApp3.apk: 20130606. LG Jelly Bean stock camera app ported to Android 4.2/CM 10.1.
ArararagiToolbox features that work on any ROM:
Check battery current (drain/charge in mA)
Disable USB (for charging on untrusted computers)
Check KSM (kernel same page merging) stats
Note: Anything changed from AraragiToolbox won't stay across reboots, as it's more of a tool for testing. I'm planning to add them into the System Settings later on.

What happened if I flash official CM10.1 nightly update over it?

My immediate guess would be the same as with any modified CM - you lose the additions to the ROM.

I think it would change just the moddified files, I guess. I will try an report.
can create a zip file to add QuickMemo, Fast Charge, Backlight Dim, Notification Light, etc. to official CM 10.1?

It doesn't work. I have installed today's update then this modded ROM and then today's update again.
How often is you going to be updated this ROM?

Does that mean it did what I suggested and wiped out the additions? That's certainly what used to happen with older versions of CM and I would expect exactly the same to happen still.
It's the same as with the PDroid version - unless the OP sets up his own automated build system you can often find the build lagging behind the nightlies. That's why they often choose to base a modded version on the most recent 'stable' CM and then have to update it less frequently.
I think I found a bug. When I am charging my phone over USB or AC the button's lights are always on.

That's not a bug. You've got the screen set to "Always On" when charging, and the buttons set to "Always On" - therefore the buttons will always be on when charging?
Awesome!!!!This is what i need.Great job!
If qmemo can also turn on by long press menu/quick setting panel, that will be perfect.

The button lights function as battery lights by default. Disable it in settings -> system -> battery lights.
It's difficult to release just modified files (as you can see from my kernel and other QuickMemo thread, it becomes a mess) and now that framework modifications are involved, it can cause conflicts if they are flashed over a CyanogenMod version that it wasn't designed for.
It might be possible to get the button backlight feature upstreamed in CM, but I doubt they'd accept any of the rest.
I'll look into setting up automated build, and also getting the source modifications organised on github or similar.
20130428 is now available.
No changes from me, just updating upstream.
Well nothing changed after I flash this rom. Still cant use the Quickmemo

What happens when you try to use it?
Did you hold vol+ and vol- at the same time?

OK I did it, thank you so much. Great effort :good:
Awesome, exactly what I've been looking for, thanks!
20130429 uploaded. Still no changes from me.
I'm thinking of adding an accelerometer spoofer since I'm sick of apps being smart and rotating themselves when I'm uesing my phone on protrait lying in bed.

[Q] Features Missing in pengus77's CM10-20130514

Flashed this CM10 based ROM yesterday. Found that 2 key features that were baked into system in previous release are missing from this release.
First is Overclocking/underclocking of CPU through Settings->Performance. Now this options is missing altogether from the list.
Though this drawback can be mitigated by using Trickster Mod or similar app.
And second one is the option to "customize auto-brightness settings". There are some apps in the store that promise similar utility, but they never worked for me. This option wasn't needed if auto-brightness levels were not as super low as they are in this release.
Anyone noticed this?

1) I removed the CPU Settings because they're limited and don't work with this device as they should (Tegra needs a different kind of love).
2) I removed the auto brightness settings because they rely on the light sensor exposed to the rom... which we don't have. All the auto brightness is handled in the kernel (on ICS as on CM) so every operation in that menu is basically a no-op.
For 1, use CPU Adjuster or Trickster Mod from the market and you get a load more options that are guaranteed to work.
And for 2, check my kernel thread. You can mod the auto-brightness settings via sysfs, or wait a bit until wfd adds that feature to Kowalski Manager
Hope this clarifies why those two things are gone

[Users Request] op3-op3T

[email protected]
Dear OnePlus,
We, OnePlus 3/3T users, have been discusing regarding software matters and an agreement has been put in place. We would like some features to be implemented for upcoming updates so that we could get the best out of our devices – as well as getting more stability on Nougat and also a better battery performance.
Our requests are as follows:
- White balance on videos.
- Scene settings (night, sunset…) in auto mode – it could help those who aren’t familiar with manual mode.
- Flash mode for the front camera – the screen should flash while taking a picture.
- Ability to pause a video and keep on recording afterwards.
- Slow motion with sound, and the ability to pick up what part you want it to be played on slow motion.
- Speed settings in Time-lapse.
- While activating the camera with a shortcut on a predefined button, it should directly shoot a picture.
- Ability to choose megapixel values on the camera app.
- Camera improvements in general, such as stabilization.
- Battery percentage inside a circle.
- Ability to choose clock position on the statusbar.
- Ability to use custom accent colours.
- Quick Settings Tiles panel should be pure black (turned off pixels), instead of grey.
- Add SIM toggle to the quick setting tiles again (it was present on Android 6.0)
- Advanced deep cleaning apps button - as we had in previous oxygen versions on Recents menu.
- More options regarding sound modes – improve alert slider options. (Perhaps add also vibration strength levels)
- Shelf improvements – more personalization, also regarding the Launcher in general.
- Activate / Deactivate mobile data on one single tap.
- Incorporate the possibility to disallow the device's powering off while being locked, somehow – increase security in some way so that it could prevent unwanted people to
perform a full wipe. Perhaps OnePlus could find a nice way to implement this idea.
- Ability to turn off notification sounds while the screen is on.
- Split volume panels.
- Ability to enable data traffic parameters on the statusbar.
- Option to either use app drawer or not.
- Add unread notifications counter on the application icons.
- Ability to set a Schedule for the Night Mode.
- Being able to choose which apps are allowed to turn on the screen in ambient display mode.
- Ability to disable the charging led.
Please, take into consideration our requests in order to make improve the community and every user experience.
Kind regards.
Cool! If we are more people, they will pay us more attention
Sended x2!
Pole and sended email.
Done! ? Thanks for the effort!!!! ?
Sent from my OnePlus 3T using XDA Labs
Cool bro. Great idea u are the man.
agree with everything:good:
I think this should be on oneplus forums rather than here
where they will atleast notice it
Or there is a Google doc they are asking customers to fill for any changes In UI.,can be filled in that too
I agree all the ideas are very good but I don't think oneplus will visit xda for these specific requests
We need 1080p, 720p video OIS too
