Hello everyone,
I have a pioneer deh-p980bt car stereo that I've been using with many different phones to listen to music streaming over bt. I haven't been able to get my samsung captivate to connect for media streaming, but it will connect for voice.
Has anyone else had any similar fixes? I've tried many different roms hoping one would fix this problem, but haven't had any success...
Thanks

Andy775, You may have already tried this but i'll just throw it out there. I have paired multiple A2DP BT devices to my phone before and I have gotten them all to work just fine. However, there were a few times when I paired them that audio music did not play through the BT device but only voice calls worked. I realized that my player did not have the correct audio output settings. I am not sure what music player you are using but are you using the stock music player that comes with the captivate?
Using the stock media player, open up the settings menu and make sure it the top row, center icon does not say "Via Bluetooth" while playing the song. Sometimes, the audio does not automatically switch to bluetooth output so you have to manually change it....dont know why. Right now, I am playing music to my BT device and the icon says "Via Phone" which means I can switch the audio output to my phone instead of the BT device (obvious but bleh).
Aside from that, I don't know how else to help you sorry. You could also try erasing the BT profile from the phone and rebinding it as well and see if that fixes the problem. Maybe the audio profile for BT streaming did not sync up correctly to your phone.
I am now using stock ROM with the latest update from AT&T. I have also used Cog's 2.1 ROMs as well and didnt have a problem.

Anyone got it to work? the BT headphones work fine as long as the device is 'switched on', if I switch the screen off it pauses playback, but only with BT headphones, works fine through wired headphones.
Any ideas?
I haven't had that problem at least when listening to music, but I only have headphones at the moment so thats all i use them for.
I am using the Plantronics 590A, and I am able to switch the power on and off from the phone during music playback just fine. The music keeps playing over bluetooth.
Odd then, got some sony BT headphones, and if I turn off the screen, then it stops.
Hmmm, have to have a dig around and see if I can work out what the problem is, what ROM's are you guys running, oh and remember this only effects the BT A2DP headphones, works fine with wired.
What player are you using?
The work around that works for BOTH WMP and AudioManager is to also install Advanced Configuration. Advanced Configuration includes some helpful shortcuts. ONe of these short cuts is callled "Turn off screen." This shortcut will be available in Settings/Buttons, so just assign it to one of your less important buttons (I use PTT Hold). Viola, when you want to shut off the screen, just use the hardware button and both players will continue to play AND over BT.

Just FYI, using a prophet and I have the opposite behaviour, ie it stops if A2DP is disabled.
I am having a bit of difficulty with my XDA Ignito on O2 in the UK (which is basically a rebranded HTC Diamond), and I am just wanting to know if anyone else has had similar issues.
Using the Touchflo music player interface, the device will connect without a problem, however after the first track ends the bluetooth connection drops as the music player produces an Audiomanager.exe fault. I have to then re-select the music player and it will allow me to play another track but the same thing happens at the end of the track. Interestingly the Windows Media Player does exactly the same thing, dropping the bluetooth connection after one track and producing a wmplayer.exe fault.
I have tried installing a third party music player, Coreplayer with the result that it will play more than one track in a row and does not produce a fault of any kind, however the Parrot remote control does not advance or retard the tracks, or pause or restart the tracks.
I want to try to work out whether the fault lies with the Phone, the Phone software, or the Parrot carkit.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I have a MOTOROKR S9 Stereo Bluetooth headset, and a G1 (Duh) with the latest Cyanogen Mod (4.1.999). I use the phone for my music as well as all the other smart phone stuff.
Now the issue I'm having is when I'm listen to music or a podcast with Google listen. the audio will cut out for a few seconds over an over and it's making it imposable to listen to music. Is there any way of fixing this issue just a side note I'm using the default music app.

What radio version do you have?
Raido-2.22.19.26i
so this is a bluetooth related or app related your taling about? can you listen to mp3 over bluetooth if its a bluetooth problem?
I can listen to music or whatever over blue tooth but it's cuting out all the time.
I believe this is a common problem for cyans latest rom, but im not sure. you can check on his google code page and see if anyone has a fix because i know a lot of people reported the problem ( i personally dont use bluetooth, so i cant really help there)
did you also try turning off wifi and seeing if it work? bluetooth is kinda like wifi with much less power. maybe turning off wifi could fix it
I recently purchased a Sony bluetooth PS3 headset which also pairs fine with my Note. Calls are working great but the headset doesn't support the streaming of any other sounds apparently.
There're a few apps (BTMono and Mono Bluetooth Router for example) that are supposed to 'fix' this issue but they don't work on my Note. I'm using Slimrom 4.2.2 build 8. I don't get any error messages from the apps, they seem to activate correctly but no audio is being played through the headset.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? I would just like to hear my gps navigation through my bluetooth because I have a very loud car and can't hear the nav when my phone is mounted on my dashboard.
Thanks in advance.
I've had a similar issue with a bluetooth headset at work - I imagine fixing this would involve diverting TTS/Music/whatever audio stream to the phone call audio stream. I've tried looking at Tasker, and frustratingly you can tell it to play a single file over the call stream, but can't set a perminant "divert notifications to call" or similar setting. Not as far as i can see.
Reg. Bluetooth Audio -
I am having an issue, likely not related to Malladus, but could be. I use my phone in my car for bluetooth phone AND Audio. Audio being the key here.
Phone is working fine. Audio, will not work with anything except the stock "Music" app. I enjoy using DoubleTwist audio player, but nothing works to get it to play through the stereo. When I bring up the music app, it works fine, when I try to play through DoubleTwist, nothing happens. The stock toyota stereo shows my phone connected, audio enabled, the phone shows a track playing, but no audio is coming through. But if I load up the default music app, it starts working fine.
This has worked fine on AOSP roms before due to the fact that there is no "default" bluetooth stack player. I've read around, and the ROM is prioritizing the stock Music app. So I went and remove the Music app with root, now no audio will play except phone calls.
I am SURE someone has run into this. Is there a fix I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can play music fine from the stock KK leak to my Motorola T605 with Google Music and Dsub. Try a different rom and rule out if it's a Malladus problem or not.
