So, long story short, I was supposed to buy a new computer this morning...but I didn't. Instead I came home with a years supply of freeze dried food (20 yr shelf life), and a new Rock Island 1911 tactical .45 acp...I think my significant other is going to kill me when she gets home.
My reasoning is that we have 2 great computers already, but no long term food storage solution. So, am I crazy?

Long term food supply
For a second I thought we were on the 3rd world war
I would never think on that as I try to consume my food the freshest I can.
Some say that any kind of food looses 30% of the vitamins, minerals and all important stuff that nurture us soon as they are taken out from the plant, or soon as the animal is dead, another 30% during the following 24 hrs.
So food frozen in a year will contain less than 5% of the nutrients!!

Hmm, a year spent eating pot noodles. I think I'll pass (hides the remaining 15 of the 18 xmas dinner flavour pot noodles gf bought)
For veg, the best way to get the most from it is to steam frozen veg.
The freezing (not freeze drying) breaks open the cells making it easier to get to the nutrients inside, while steaming cooks them without washing those nutrients away.
Lose 30% of nutrients when an animal dies? Best eat it while it's living then
I like the feel of the 1911, but prefer a M92 with Hogue grips, although I also quite like the USP.

The only guy guys in Malaysia are allowed to carry only has one shot. You need to pump it for like 15-30 minutes to reload. One shot and you better make it count. And even then safety freaks are like, "Oh, you must use safety to prevent accidents"

Dimensions on the shelf allow for a 8 can x 11 can spread, double layered, yielding 176 cans per shelf. My goal is to get both shelves filled. You cant see it, but the bottom shelf already has its 176 cans

I drink 3 liters of Coke a day. Been doing it for the past 3 years, no kidney stones yet. But aside from Coke and Beer no other liquid....my kidneys probably cry at night. But then again Dr's say beer does help prevent kidney stones if you get them frequently.
I used to drink nd all the time..but I have move to harder stuff..mango Passion rockstars...drink 3 a day..lol its cheaper to be on coke..or speed..

Im not gonna tell the whole story but monday there was a bomb threat, nothing happend. Today there was a rumor that there was going to be a school shooting during the peprally for tomorrows basketball game. Half the people wernt there at school so we just messed around all day. Anyways they found 3 guys with guns and the girl that had the bombs (Im not sure if she had them with her but it kinda sounded that way when the cops were talking about it) but they were all at school when they found them. Think of how bad that would of been if they started shooting and the bomb went off with everyone packed in the gym. Theres 2500 people at my school.
I think i counted 15-20 local cops and 2 or 3 FBI agents. Along with the local bomb squad. The cops were there the whole day and the others got there around lunch.

It's not like redbull or amp or any other energy drink that's chalk full of caffiene. That stuff has tons of vitamins and niacin and other goodness. A girl I work with buys a morning drink from GNC, powder stuff you mix with a bottle of water. That and monster have dam near the same ingredients. Show me any proof that it's bad for you, please do.

I didn't mean it like that... what I WAS TRYING TO SAY... was if Sparky works all nite (usually does after a carnival closes as He must supervise the dismantling and packing up of the rides and game and food trailers. Also, He is only one of a few who work there that carry the necessary permits to drive said OVERSIZED TRAILERS). Did I clarify myself?

Sunday is one night I actually get a whole night's rest. Normally take a few benidyl and tylenol pm's, maybe a couple beers. Try to wind down at least by 9:00 pm. Wake up at 4:30 am and start my week. I really do have a problem with sleeping, I can't sleep, and it drives my wife nuts. She always wants me to come to bed with her and I can't sleep.
