Geek food? - Off-topic

Hi guys can you list me food that make you think about geek? I need that for a project. Thanks
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

Alphabetical soup?

Fast food.

Chips and dip...i always seem to have that around
swyped from my cyanogenized and gingerbreaded EVO

Anything quick, us geeks are always busy doing something.
Or busy doing nothing, obesity should be a main characteristic of the fabled geek...yet it's been pretty clear to me that a lot of geeks I know are skinny, I have no clue why (I am included in the skinny statistic)

Snacks. Biscuits, crisps, chocolate bars, etc.

I noticed, I gained 20 pounds in the last 3/4ths of the year.

Best food for geeks:
1. Anything that I can eat in front of the monitor/keyboard
2. Something that is easy to clean off said monitor/keyboard
3. Something sweet and diabetic-coma inducing to wash it down

So a shadowrun themed cookbook with wyvern tail and spectral chips? I am a geek/cook so I can cook 18 hours in a day while going on my nexus one

Microwave burritos and Mountain Dew. Ultimate Geek food.

high energy (caffine) drinks

Red Bull (or Mother for the Aussies ) and pizza

[UAN] The Up All Night crew

Seems like everyone actually sleeps at night. Nothing going on here, fb, or g+. Decided to make a place for it. I'm. Generally up late on weeknights and hardly sleep at all on weekends. My pet is even nocturnal. I got a sugar glider.
So what's up?

A girl I work with buys a morning drink from GNC, powder stuff you mix with a bottle of water. That and monster have dam near the same ingredients. Show me any proof that it's bad for you, please do.

I didn't mean it like that... what I WAS TRYING TO SAY... was if Sparky works all nite (usually does after a carnival closes as He must supervise the dismantling and packing up of the rides and game and food trailers. Also, He is only one of a few who work there that carry the necessary permits to drive said OVERSIZED TRAILERS). Did I clarify myself?

Sunday is one night I actually get a whole night's rest. Normally take a few benidyl and tylenol pm's, maybe a couple beers. Try to wind down at least by 9:00 pm. Wake up at 4:30 am and start my week. I really do have a problem with sleeping, I can't sleep, and it drives my wife nuts. She always wants me to come to bed with her and I can't sleep.

I've got a bag with a toothbrush and a comb in.
I've got a G36 and a M249 (airsoft because this is the UK and we have sensible gun laws, it's the imitation gun laws that are crazy)
I want to get into shooting but in Canada you need to take courses and get a bunch of permits, gonna be a while before I get there. All these damn rules

I got my first gun while eating cereal. 5th bday, 4 10 shotgun. Single shot break over. Killed my first that day too. 18 turtles. Went to my uncle's and cleaned his stock ponds.

Jericho 941 aka "Baby" Desert Eagle 45cal
Hah nothing baby about it.
Edit: holy giant pic... Sorry fixing.

I do like the look of the Jericho
Also like the Beretta 92
Never been keen on glocks or sigs, and only certain 1911s.
A guy I know nearly killed his ex wife with his 92 at a firing range in Israel.
I've only ever been to military ranges (you have to be well spaced from the guy shooting to your left if there is no barrier) and always presumed most civilian ranges would be like you see in the movies (ie booths) but their range just had a long table.
She was shooting a little revolver to is right when an empty case ejected from his gun and went down the back of her neck. As she jumped from the burning metal she squeezed her trigger and sent a bullet skimming across her hair line!
The police did investigate to see if it was some elaborate plan to get rid of her - how much of a genius would you have to be to pull that one off?
When they got divorced, she got the Beretta

Crazy thing is when I turned 9 my step dad tried teaching me gun safety with a pellet rifle. I remember thinking not to tell him and let him be the dad he wants to be. I'd gone deer hunting and shot lots of animals before that. Squirrel, raccoon, fox, you know all the varmit animals and deer. He tried showing me how powerful the air pellet gun was by shooting a news paper. I'd shot countless animals before at point blank to put em down fully. I KNEW what real guns did. But he had a fun time that day being a dad and I'm glad for it.

I guess I am missing your point. Caffeine is the number one addiction in the world. My lips get addicted to chap stick when I use it. I'm addicted to my prescribed medicine that i have to take because of my chemical imbalance, but it is absolutely necessary that I take it. Many of us are addicted to XDA, or the internets in general.
Smoking, while it is addictive, is a hobby of mine.
Edit: I just thought of another good one, exercise is a common addiction.

A hobby is something you do in your spare time that you enjoy and don't really profit from. Smoking most definitely qualifies. There are hundreds of kinds of tobacco for any kind of smoking experience, be it pipe, cigar, roll-your-own, etc. It's almost a lifestyle.
Sent from my coffee pot.
Guitar
Reading
Guns(shooting and collecting), cars, books, movies. I would say computers as well, but i think thats a given for most people on this website.

What is your addiction?

I believe that everyone has something that they are addicted to, be it alcohol, cigarettes, crack, heroin, shopping, gambling, anything can be addictive.
I will tell you that I have used most every drug including heroin, fentanyl, pot, acid, shrooms, xanax, cocaine (powder and rock), ecstacy, alcohol, and surely many more
The only substance that I can honestly say I am addicted to is nicotine, and I will state that I am addicted to some kinds of self-destructive decision-making/behavior when it comes to my relationships with others
I am curious what other XDA members are addicted to, and what other members are willing to admit to being addicted to, and maybe if we're lucky someone will benefit from this thread
And don't say you're addicted to flashing roms or anything phone related, that's too easy
I used to be addicted to a certain video game... But not anymore. Hmm. All I can think of right now is probably crawfish? o_o

It might be okay for some people, but not for everyone.
As for BNaughty, eating once a day wouldn't aid him in losing weight though...
The key to losing weight is working out ( obviously ) + eating healthy meals throughout the day to help raise metabolism.

Good point.
I am not prone to gaining weight, but being thin doesn't always mean being healthy either. Every person requires different food intake. Me? I eat small amounts frequently throughout the day. I can't sit and eat a huge meal. I just eat to sustain myself, not for enjoyment. But again, that's just what works for me.

They were the store brand and extremely salty so I didn't enjoy them much but I was hungry so I ate them anyway. The ones I make tastes way better. Genuine crab meat can be kind of expensive though.
You didn't ask all of that but I just felt like sharing.
I like salmon so I'll try salmon cakes. Probably cheaper to make too.
