Just about to start my 12hour night shift

On Xda like 10,000 persons right now

Barbecued yesterday. No marinades, just salt, pepper, and organic lemon juice (squeezed fresh off the bush). Good meat speaks for itself
And the Dodgers lost to the Giants yesterday, so today I can REALLY relax. lol

I was supposed to go fishing today, but that was 7 hours ago and I didn't go, so basically being an american for a day (I'm Polish ) and not doing sh*t

Chicken is in a lemon pepper marinade (I know tell me about it. But thats what the women want)
Now the 14oz. strips will be caressed with a lite sprinkling of McCormick "Montreal Steak" seasoning cooked to pleasant and warm pink middle. And then enjoyed sauce less.

New computer didn't make the cut.

So, long story short, I was supposed to buy a new computer this morning...but I didn't. Instead I came home with a years supply of freeze dried food (20 yr shelf life), and a new Rock Island 1911 tactical .45 acp...I think my significant other is going to kill me when she gets home.
My reasoning is that we have 2 great computers already, but no long term food storage solution. So, am I crazy?

I live in arkansas, usa. The gun is great. Gonna break it in with 300 rds tomorrow. Have that and a remington 770 .308 hunting rifle. We take being ready for whatever pretty serious around here. No zombie apocalypse gonna ruin my day. and yes the missus thinks I'm crazy

Long term food supply
For a second I thought we were on the 3rd world war
I would never think on that as I try to consume my food the freshest I can.
Some say that any kind of food looses 30% of the vitamins, minerals and all important stuff that nurture us soon as they are taken out from the plant, or soon as the animal is dead, another 30% during the following 24 hrs.
So food frozen in a year will contain less than 5% of the nutrients!!

Hmm, a year spent eating pot noodles. I think I'll pass (hides the remaining 15 of the 18 xmas dinner flavour pot noodles gf bought)
For veg, the best way to get the most from it is to steam frozen veg.
The freezing (not freeze drying) breaks open the cells making it easier to get to the nutrients inside, while steaming cooks them without washing those nutrients away.
Lose 30% of nutrients when an animal dies? Best eat it while it's living then
I like the feel of the 1911, but prefer a M92 with Hogue grips, although I also quite like the USP.

The only guy guys in Malaysia are allowed to carry only has one shot. You need to pump it for like 15-30 minutes to reload. One shot and you better make it count. And even then safety freaks are like, "Oh, you must use safety to prevent accidents"

I noticed, I gained 20 pounds in the last 3/4ths of the year.

Best food for geeks:
1. Anything that I can eat in front of the monitor/keyboard
2. Something that is easy to clean off said monitor/keyboard
3. Something sweet and diabetic-coma inducing to wash it down

So a shadowrun themed cookbook with wyvern tail and spectral chips? I am a geek/cook so I can cook 18 hours in a day while going on my nexus one

It's not like redbull or amp or any other energy drink that's chalk full of caffiene. That stuff has tons of vitamins and niacin and other goodness. A girl I work with buys a morning drink from GNC, powder stuff you mix with a bottle of water. That and monster have dam near the same ingredients. Show me any proof that it's bad for you, please do.

I didn't mean it like that... what I WAS TRYING TO SAY... was if Sparky works all nite (usually does after a carnival closes as He must supervise the dismantling and packing up of the rides and game and food trailers. Also, He is only one of a few who work there that carry the necessary permits to drive said OVERSIZED TRAILERS). Did I clarify myself?

Sunday is one night I actually get a whole night's rest. Normally take a few benidyl and tylenol pm's, maybe a couple beers. Try to wind down at least by 9:00 pm. Wake up at 4:30 am and start my week. I really do have a problem with sleeping, I can't sleep, and it drives my wife nuts. She always wants me to come to bed with her and I can't sleep.

My favourite is a 0.6l starbucks mug

This is me, gazing into space, with my HD2 in hand and my favourite mug. It holds over a pint and I drink coffee from it, usually full. My bladder hates me for it but I think it's brilliant!

I only drink sweet tea but no fav cup! Come to think of it i only drink tea at home its not my fav drink i love diet coke and milk

Arnold Paulmer Half & Half. I started getting the Arizona Tea version of it and love it. The Doc at work plays golf and says that at the clubhouse they only an alcoholic version of it.
Arizona's version is sweet tea and lemonade. Didn't think I'd like it cause I don't like lemons in my tea, but that stuff is good.
