its was for business accounts. on sprint. a couple years ago.. if i rem correctly

ok...i guess it makes sense....but the price?wtf.....anyway...thanks man

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=394

When sellers run out of a item the edit the item to a crazy price, that way nobody buys one. It is easier to do this than to end the listing and relist once the item is back in stock. The phone runs Windows OS...

No. CDMA=no SIM. and if it is a CDMA world phone I doubt people will be able to hack the SIM slot and unlock it. And even if they did it is not equiped with a T-mo US 3G radio.
eh. damn, that phone is supposed to be the best android phone yet
Have u seen the Motorola Cliq that's comming to tmob very soon...

That's an ugly cheap toy. Sorry had to say it. T-mobile needs to step up the game again. They missed out on the great Hero. Hopefully they get the "Dragon" first.
Feeling some mad buyer's remorse over purchasing a MT3G ~2 months ago.
Oh well.
also, +1 for Dragon on T-mo

MT3G.... oh My Touch 3G.... I like T-MO red the most. Not a bad looking phone in person. Think of it this way. When your 2yr contract is up there will beter phones than the ones coming out in 2010.
There IS a GSM Droid coming though for Telus Mobility in Canada which is switching over to HSDPA along with Bell. CDMA is getting phased out in Canada.

Yep, CDMA RIP (include the USA as well)! Such a waste of "space"
Yeah, with LTE (4G), the whole world should be following a unified standard hopefully on not more than two frequencies.
Oh, I hope they use more than two frequencies otherwise there will be too much interference
Very interested in the Motorola Droid.
Questions about Android...
Can you get real time push hotmail?
Is there a wifi router app?
Is there a logmein app?
Is there an orb app (or able to stream from orb site)?
Thanks in advance...

I doubt you'll have an interference problem, being that the rest of the world has the same standard it's only the states now that don't use one standard (we have to always be different). I'm on the bandwagon with CDMA being phased out, even if it is better tech (I don't agree with that statement I'm just saying....) with the rest of the world on GSM it's hard to come out with a good phone that will support either or both.

I have no idea at all sorry.
Try googleing for Android forums. I'm sure they are out there.
I too am slightly concerned about that. We'll need to get to work on rooting the thing as soon as possible. Has anyone started digging into the thing who has a review unit?
We certainly need to find a central location to collaborate.

Tips to coax Verizon to add an MEID to the system?

I've been working with Verizon and a modded HTC Supersonic for the past couple days to get the MEID on the network.
I've had a medium amount of resistance along the way, but finally today, I got to a point where I could send the device in for actual review and such and whatnots, so I shipped the device off with crossed fingers.
I have done this with a Sprint Touch Pro in the past and made it successfully, but there's just been a lot more negative feedback this trip around..
Anything I can do from here to increase my luck? Or is it just up to a roll of the D20 now?
i doubt that they would add the phone to verizon and why did you send the phone to them?

I don't really need it atm. It wasn't on any plan or anything, but they wanted me to send it to the "Device Evaluation Center." So I did.
I have the fed-ex tracking number, and full value insurance on it, so I am not concerned about it.
This has been more of a big experiment anyways. After programming the phone for their service, I wanted to see how many hoops I would have to jump through to make it happen.
Open network my foot Apparently, it exists, but you have to be hella persistent.
A
Any updates on this?
I have a Telus CDMA Touch Pro I have programed for Verizon. I'm trying to get it added and am also experiencing the resistance...
Ahh... I miss the days when I had my sprint touch pro and all I had to do was some programming and diall *228 and choose option 3!

Sprint + Tmobile merger? What do you think of it?

http://gizmodo.com/5585983/sprint-ceo-sees-logic-in-a-t+mobile-merger
Seems like a great idea to me. I have / love Sprint presently, have had Tmobile in the past and they are my second favorite carrier.
I read that TMobile may go down next year

I've always thought Verizon would swallow Sprint, but I think they wouldn't allow it because Verizon would become a freakin giant.
While I love Tmobile + Sprint, I wonder if it would be the straw that breaks the Camel's back at Sprint. We all know how the Sprint + Nextel thing went... And I doubt Deutsche Telekom would really want to divest... But it does seem that Sprint and Tmobile are in a bad position. I dunno, should be interesting.

If you check the headlines they have been bleeding badly. T-mobile I haven't heard much about though.
sent from my telepathic neurotransmitter.
Would that be possible considering -Mobile is GSM and Sprint CDMA?
Nextel used IDEN, neither GSM OR CDMA. So my answer would be, it wouldn't matter.
(I'm from the UK, so not much real input.. but...)
Much the same as what is happening/happened with the OrangeUK and T-Mobile UK Merger here to make one big parent company, although they are operating still as 2 brands of the parent. Should be fine.

Recommend me a new phone

I just killed my HD2 and decided to buy a new phone. I have no idea what's good in the market now. I'm on AT&T now, I can find unlocked T-Mobile phones.
Tilt2?
New HD2?
Evo 4G?
HD?
N1?
Desire?
Milestone?
DroidX?

Out of these I would only Be interested in the N1, the rest are either CDMA or I just don't like. I'm already looking for a good N1 deal.
i have N1 very good phone
have a look on ebay
Found one on CL for $425
For now I settled on the N1, buying tomorrow. Will play with it...for now. IS it me or did the smartphone market slow down and Verizon is getting all the awesome Android phones? lol
Verizon has SOOOOOOO many smartphones compared to my carrier... AT&T and every other carrier!
Llamas like smartphones.
Apparently
Oh really.... Is this gonna be an issue
I think only purple llamas like smartphones yet, lol

Say Bye to Unlimited Data

http://www.droid-life.com/2012/05/1...going-away-all-users-pushed-onto-shared-data/
I knew Big Red would find a way eventually, didn't think it would have been this soon.
For now it is only those on 3G with 3G phones but everyone else will soon follow. Sprint is looking good about now.
Quite sad of what Big Red is doing. Looks like ATT is my next best choice for coverage since T-Mobile still has 2G in my area and Sprint has 3G and ATT has 4G also.
This makes the news yesterday about Google possibly selling unlocked "Nexus" devices in the Play Store all the more interesting. Then pick your carrier. I see a possible loophole if by some miracle there are CDMA/LTE Nexus devices I will never have to re-up my contract. That looks how to be only way to keep unlimited at this point is never renewing or upgrading phone through Verizon once they have this bullsh*t program in full swing.

Sadly, They only sell GSM phones for now which needs to change. But, they said in the post that everybody will eventually be forced into a "shared" plan that even not upgrading they'll still put you into one from my understanding unless I missed something.

Damn.. just looked at the Play Store and didn't know they would have that up so fast. BUT the good news is they are going to have Nexus phones and tablets about 5 different NEW devices and not just Motorola so I will have to keep an eye out. My contract isn't over with til 2013 anyways. Hoping by then for a 4.3-4.5" Motorola Droid 5 or variant with full QWERTY which is my dream phone right now. I cannot go to a 4.0" phone after 4.3" but I miss the physical QWERTY of my D1.

Mine isn't over till Summer of 2013 but I was planning on stealing one of my family members upgrade plans since they have one this coming November which is exactly the time when the new Nexus phones come out but I'll have to see if me and my family stick around with Verizon until then. Also, the Droid 4 has a physical qwerty keyboard which I'm not sure how people can use a physical keyboard (I had a physical keyboard before this phone) and I've messed around on the physical keyboard and It feels so weird to even type on it when I use to be able to type paragraphs in seconds on that phone without even looking at the keyboard.

More than likely they are in the know, they are just directed to play stupid as being knowledgeable does nothing to help their bottom line or store sales.
If I lose my unlimited, I'm going to leave Verizon and go to some bootleg company like Boost. I hate Sprint so will never go back to them.
I pay what I pay for the 3 lines that I have because I like ny unlimited. I lose that...how about it don't be worth the money anymore. I'd rather pay $50 a phone with boost or cricket or metropcs.

Interesting article
Thanks for the article; it will be interesting to see if Verizon does indeed follow through with eliminating the grandfathering of unlimited data plan. This is one of the features my wife and I both love.
I went to Verizon yesterday and the guy said he's heard about it but he's never gotten any official thing that he said if it is implemented it'll be at the end of the year or somewhere around there.
This whole thing is weird to me...
We have US Cellular out here, and if they can get a few more phone options I may just go with them. Everyone I talk to says they are a breeze to deal with and the network is good enough to work with.
