[Bootanimations] Simplistic/Minimalistic Post Yours! - Android Themes

Everyone is so into "Simplistic" Android themes and configurations... Guilty as charged. But, the funny thing is, these simplistic themes are paired with elaborate bootscreens! Why not have simplistic boot screens also? I'll start. This is the one I'm using for my Nexus S. It looks great on AMOLED and SAMOLED (480x800) screens. I use this blue one but it's easy to make muliple colors. If you want to try it, the "bootanimation.zip" file is in my blog.

I like it. You're absolutely right about there not being enough simplistic or minimalistic boot animations.
I'll be flashing a just-barely-grey or a light beige version.

Thank you GchildT I went to your blog to get the simplistic circle and ended up with the cute droid bee! Thanks, it's one of the best bootanimations I've seen.

I don't know how to make boot animations but what about one that just said:
"Loading..." or "Booting..." and had the dots "appearing" and "disappearing." Hard to explain but like this:
Loading. -> "Loading.." -> "Loading..." -> "Loading." -> "Loading.." and so on. So only the dots would be moving.
Or maybe just a bar that filled as the boot completes... so "Booting" underneath a green or grey (whatever color, really) and just filled kind of like the Safari web browser's URL box does as the page loads.

I can do that... It's very easy. That would be a nice minimalist bootscreen! Thanks. I'll work on that...

some what related
I'd also be interested in minimalistic unbranded splash screen is anyone has a good one.

change windows buttons

Hi, sorry to post but i don't really know how to search for what I'm after
I just want to change the windows keys at the top of the bottom of the screen to solid black instead of the shiny grey gradient.
Can I directly change a graphics file? and if so where is it?
Thanks for your help
ant
Is this not possible, I had a go with the Theme maker program, but then when I output to WM6 it retains the shiny black bars that I would really like to have in solid black

I think maybe you should search for a skinning program? or a skin that does what your thinking of.
Can you post a screenshot or picture to show exactly what you mean?
Or do you mean, bars like these?

yeah, how did you do that, there is no vertical gradient, i like that but i would prefer it all black
what skinning program will do that? does the program have to run in the background all the time or is it a one time operation to set the skin?

Hi:
After I installed a solid black theme, which I use, now the top and bottom bars appear solid in all themes with black bars. You could give it a shot. Not sure if it will work, but it will be easy to test. Just install the theme I attach here, then try another theme with black bars, and see if it works . For some reason it worked on mine.
Another way is to use a theme editor (I use Themegence), and use black bars for WM5, that too makes them solid black.
Anyway, I hope this works for you
Cheers for your help guys
I used UI Tweaker in the end, it did exactly what I wanted, then I used some other things I found on here to hide the top and bottom bars, now it looks perfect!!

[Sug] Possible to remove time from top right of notification bar?

Hi guys,
I was going to post this in general, but as it is possible development I thought it may best be suited here. Sorry if it isn't!!
Anyway, I'm no developer so I don't know if this is even possible, hence why I thought I'd throw it out there.
What I was thinking is, as a user of the flip clock and also using Stericson lock screen, I have the time in full view of my home screen / lock screen all the time.
The fact it is in the top right corner is of no use to me really. It's also apparent that when you have several icons in the notification bar (especially when plugged in on USB) it gets crowded and tends to hide alot of them.
What is the feasibilty of removing / hiding the clock from the notification bar, and moving the 3g/wifi/bt/battery icons into the right hand corner?
Would this actually be possible? I know this wouldn't suit all users but some people may like this as it would give more space for other icons to appear there.
Any Devs care to elaborate on this?
Thanks.
If you wanted to hide the time, you could just make it transparent using Ohsaka's colorChange.jar. Of course, that wouldn't help with the crowded icons.
I like the time in the right corner, useful for when I'm browsing the web on a break from work.
Or try alternative home app: Home++

Sadly this has been asked quite a few times, problem is they wont answer even though people want it.
I guess for now home++ is a good alternative - though I do like using advanced launcher, so removing it properly from the notification bar would be better.
I guess it's just one of them things - although an official yes or no it can't be done would be nice from a dev?!
Thanks.

i'll look into making a black/gray/white version
edit:
made it, check the attachments.
I like the dock. How do I set the center icon to be the phone application without putting another icon on top of it? I'm not sure if the issue I'm having is clear. Basically, when I assign the center button to be a shortcut to the phone, it makes me choose an icon for it. The icon I choose lays on top of the phone icon that you have in your image file. How can I fix this?
i provided an blank icon that you can pick
I downloaded the BlueDock.zip file. In it, I see 3 Images:
BlueDock.png
BlueDock_nobutton.png
screenshot_2.png
I don't see any blank icon. Am I missing something?
Also, May I suggest that instead of using a blank icon, can the colorful phone Icon be provided seperately and used on top of the noicon image? That way when you scroll through docks, the phone Icon will scroll with the other icons. Also, this would give the option of not having the phone be the center Icon on every dock.
just noticed the first zip had the wrong file in it! added now!
Where u get that wallpaper?
Nice docks, I'm using the blue one now!

[Q] [MIUI] Theme Question, can't read text in Google Navigation?

Sorry, I wasn't real sure where to put this. The screen shot pretty much says it all.
I'm using the theme here, for MIUI, yet this happens on all the popular dark themes I've tried. It's very hard to see the gray text containing address info against the gray background with the popup results menu in Google Navigation.
Is there an easy fix for this? Thanks.

I've always had the same problem. Never found a solution except to use light themes.

LOL??? thanks for pointing this out.. i just spotted this in my theme and totally missed it.. so im going to work on this right away!!
Certainly, it's like this on a lot of themes, even the default on.
I know it's part of the framework, but I don't know what specifically needs to edited to change this without affecting the rest of the theme.
Have you tried this:
(I'm using a French rom, so all the terms I'm going to use may be not the good ones in English..)
Go to Settings, Applications Manager, search and tap on Google Navigation in your apps list, then de-activate Compatibility Mode.. It worked for me with some unreadable white on white texts..
If it doesn't work (sorry about it, first.. ), just re-activate Compatibility Mode (just in case)

Classic theme super wallpaper missing (miui 12 chinese rom)

I got the update to miui 12 toda.
I was playing around, i switched the classic theme with another one and now the classic theme is missing the super wallpaper animation. It was similar to mars, but a different view. Also, the location was different. Any way i can get that back?

The images only prove that the lock screen is different. But i can assure you the classic one had spinning animation and a zoom in one when unlocking screen. Because i changed theme, i have lost the classic one. Now when i set it, i doesnt have animations.

Go to settings/wallpaper and super wallpaper than chose earth or mars.
I know about those.
The classic is a different image of mars. Thats why i posted the screenshots.
Its like the classic is a default super wallpaper that gets disabled once you change it. But how do i get it back? New users who upgrade to miui 12 and havent changed anything maybe can confirm.
