All I get is "Searching...", continually. I changed out the antenna, same result, any suggestions? I checked the Comm Manager and phone is turned on. I don't what else to check.

Is the connection dropping out?
If the connection is working fine at the required radius, don't let what the meter says concern you.
wifi
the signal did drop out when i am out of my study room where my router sits.
it used to still connect the wifi.
any help?
Sounds obvious, but have you any new electrical equipment that may be causing interference??
This was happening to me if I tried and use wifi in the Kitchen, because of the fridge!!
I used sktools to change to G mode compatibility and it stopped.. Could just be a fluke though!!
wifi
hi all
tried that but the signal still the same
wifi - wlan problem
Hi,
i've updated my VPA III (BlueAngel) with Xplode's latest R4 image. It's a very nice work xplode!
But I can't turn my wifi on. If I go to the wireless and turn on wifi like discribed in the other threads i can see the left green led (for wifi) blinking like wifi is switched on but the software says still wifi is turned off. it also doesn't work in the comm manager.
thanks
Ebo
i will describe more specific the wifi turning on procedure(you should perform it once after boot, and then use comm manager until reboot):
1. turn on wifi trough wireless manager, it turns on and the turns off by itself
2. turn on wifi from comm manager, now you can control it from comm mnager, enable disable
thank you for the datail infos but I also tried this before and whatever I try nothing helps. It keeps like I described it:
when i do your first step
1. turn on wifi trough wireless manager, it turns on and the turns off by itself
---> the left green hardware led beginns to blink like wifi is physically enabled
but i can't get any access to it and the wireless item on the today screen says still "Wi-Fi: Unavailable"
and the secon step
2. turn on wifi from comm manager, now you can control it from comm mnager, enable disable
-->seems to has simply no effect
before with an older helmi and the original vodaphone software i also had some promblems like sometimes i had to do a soft reset before i could use wlan
is there any way to debug it like a log file or this KITL!?
i also tried a new software update and I cleaned the registry hive and i've formated the storage
@xploe i use your latest release xplode R4 lazy release and at the boot screen appears
R 1.15.00
D 1337.45
G 5.35.04.WWE

Can I ask did u notice this problem before you upgraded & were hoping to solve it via upgrade?.
If your wifi board is on its way out or the antenna has taken one blow two many and let go. No amount of flashing could help.
Did the problem only arise after flashing?.
Starting today, my tilt seems to have a new problem. I can't find anyone else who has experienced this so...
I had downloaded the 10 button htc comm manager about a week ago. Everything was working fine until today: I tried to make a call with my 3G button on. Nothing. I'm showing two bars of 3G, but I'm not connected at all! Okay... so I try turning off my 3G button. Edge picks up and I'm back online. Fine. I turn 3G button back on, and edge APPEARS to connect (I get the E bars), but shortly switches to showing a few bars of 3G. Great! But I'm not connected again. It's SHOWING a 3G connection, but I'm totally offline. Can't make or receive calls. Can't get online.
I backed up before installing this comm manager, so it's not a big deal to go back, but what's going on here? It seems as though there must be some bad code with this new manager. Any ideas? If it helps, this is where I got the manager:

Oh, and I downloaded Windows Live Search last night, but other than that, I can't think of why this would be happening.
Update
This appears to only be happening in the neighborhood of my office in DUMBO Brooklyn, NY. I'm still really stumped.
I have this situation and not sure if someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.
I turn on the WLAN connection on my ATT Tilt then I turn off the phone before I go to sleep.
When I turn the phone back on, it tries to connect any available wifi signal (I also turn off my wireless router at night).
Is it a way to disable the TILT automatically tries to connect to the wifi signal upon the phone is booted up?
Thanks.
yes. Disable wlan in comm manager before u turn it off!

I thought so too . but I was hoping to set the registry for this matter.
Thanks
Well... there is a setting to keep the wifi connection on, even while sleeping. But theres no such thing as dont connect when the device wakes up, especially when its enabled to connect
im using an htc kaiser 8925 and in all honesty im pretty new to wm 6.1 and the phone in general. mine is unlocked, and i havent messed with any roms yet. oh and im using it on t-mobile too. the problem im having is i cant get it to connect to my home router, and i dont know what to do. all im trying to use is the wifi, i havent purchased the t-mobile internet package yet. i have no clue which wifi settings to change or what to change them too. i cant receive picture messages either, if someone could help me figure this stuff out as well i would greatly appreciate it.
First:
Make sure your home router is BROADCASTING the SSID. You might have turned it off for security reasons? If it is turned off, your phone can't find the wireless network.
Second:
Start the phone's COMM MANAGER and turn on wireless - it should find your home network automatically - no matter if you have encryption on there or not!
If the phone does not give you a notification message about the network it found, click in the COMM MANAGER on SETTINGS - WIRELESS and delete all listed networks in there. Afterwards turn off Wireless again, restart your phone and then turn wireless on again ... try if that helps!
ugh it was the wireless in the comm manager thanks alot
Regarding your picture msgs, T-mobile normally require you to send a picture message to enable it. After you've sent one you should be ok Just make sure you've got the T-mobile mms settings setup
Hello i have this issue with data connection it seems to have started since using gremote, but that maybe nothing to do with it. when bluetooth is enabled i get a icon at the top of the screen with 2 arrows pointing left and right when i tap on this it says network card connected witht he options to go to comm manager it also shows orange mms (hsdpa) and i cant use any data services such as weather tab out brows the internet on ie or opera. is i close bluetooth this goes away and arrows turn in to a H and all data connections work fine.
what have i done wrong? i was also using the phone as a router but have removed that application to no affect as it was just a trial.
can anyone advise?
thanks
