Samsung was kind enough to do that for the 5700, but not for the 7500. Unfortunately, there will be no Android upgrades for anyone with the I7500 or I7500L, except for those who choose to mod. Currently running stock baseband with GAOSP from drakaz.com
i7500
how can i get code to unlock i7500?
thanks

are you happy with the performance of your phone? I tried GAOSP and my phone was painfully slow.. I reverted back to 1.6 and now it is somewhere in the drawers..
i know gaosp is pretty slow .. but u can still remove some of the default apps that u dnt need it might boost ur system a little.. n please check that u have unchecked use JIT.. dithering..lock home in memory features in performance setting of cyanogenmod.. overclock it to 624 mhz will smoothoff the frames rate of scrolling..
thanks for the comments, I will need to find it and make use of it.. its shame such a nice phone isnt up to standards (never been really). even with the original software it was not very responsive.
which wireless tether version works fully (ssid and passphrase) with the HTC Hero (Sprint) running on 2.1? im running zen fx lite and i cant find a version that works fully. i had cyanogens 2.2 and it worked fully with 2.05 pre 2 but that version doesnt play well with 2.1 zen fx
does anyone know which version works best?
1.6 always worked best for me,but I'm currently using the newest one from the market

1.6 is the most stable, however I have been able to get 1.70pre2 working on several 2.1 Sense-based roms. Might want to give that one a try, as the WEP encryption doesn't work on the 1.6 version.

I have a rooted Sprint Hero with 2.1 (2.27.651.6) native firmware, and have WT 2.02. Today at work, I tethered a co-workers iPad with my Hero and it tethered very easily, and I was very impressed with the speed the iPad was getting from my tethered Sprint Hero's EVDO signal. Very impressive. I just might have to get me one of those iPad thingys now since Android tabs are still phantomware.
I use the newest in market just fine on 2.2

If you tried out the Nexus S rom ported to the galaxy S, you probably know that the bluetooth drivers are capable of pairing with a wiimote unlike the stock bluetooth driver. Does anyone know of any rom with the Nexus S bluetooth stack on it? or does anyone know how i could possible put it in my current rom i'm using (cognition 2.3b8).
Also, could anyone make an odin version of cognition 2.3b8 please? flashing to stock every time i screw it up is annoying. If you can't, that's fine.
+1
Would want this as well!
I'd love this too.
Cm7 has this
CM7
Rooted 1.1 I've searched the market to no avail.
That feature is not supported until android version 2.2
I thought people were doing it before froyo. Oh well, thanks.
Hello,
at first sorry for my bad english.
I tried to search in this forum for my problems, but i don't find a perfect answer.
So at first the datas of my HTC:
Incredible S with newest org. software (Android 4.0.4 - Sense 3.6 - Softwarenumber 4.10.405.1)
With HTC-Dev i rootet my phone, but its still s-on.
Now to my problems. At first i want to get my Phone at the easiest way s-off to try the app "remote Sim-Access (rSAP)" (this app to find under 'android-rsap.com', needs 's-off', but i still have my incredible S 's-on' when i look in the bootmenu/loader. I would prefer a easiest way to get s-off, because i'm a noob and i find the original rom very good and if it is possible i don't like to install a custom rom to get s-off or anything else...
This instruction is good, but i don't understand it very good and i don't know, if i have to do every step (it is a lot of work).

The second bigger problem is my new car (BMW). The incredible S supports my car good, but not perfect. I hope with the app for rSAP (remote Sim-Access) i will get some office-options more (like reading sms in my car)
But what i want to get is the titelinformation for songs which i stream over bluetooth.
The problem is, that Android 4.0 supports only AVRCP 1.0 (as far as i know).
AVRCP 1.3 is needed to get titelinformations over bluetooth, so i need this.
Samsung and LG is better then HTC with AVRCP, there it is working. IOS supports it too.
So i want to know, if i can get AVRCP 1.3 to my incredible S.
I read a lot in the web, but i only read CyanogenMod9 or AOKP ROM works with AVRCP 1.3.
(If CyanogenMod 7 works with AVRCP 1.3, i don't know).
Can somebody help me ?
I hope you understand my problem.
Thanks a lot.
Can nobody help me ?
Cm7 seems to have avrcp 1.3, at least in the nightly builds. Just made a quick search , unless you find anything more I might be able to find more info when I have a computer and not searching from NY phone.
Sorry for spelling, rushing to the bus.
