According to Eugene these kernels works for vibrant, vibrant 4g and I9000 roms.

My 3G is fine but my wifi was dial-upish. The kernel seems to flash the Jl4 modem along with it. Not sure why.

they're not i9000 based.
I'm testing the first kernel. Going to let it sit during the night and see what it does to the battery. Had a 1200+ quad score (and yes I know it doesn't really mean anything) which is still a couple of hundred more than Eugene got.
This is hardly scientific but there is no splash screen when booting. I'm not talking about a boot animation. I mean, the screen says Vibrant the whole time.

No, as you can see from "fingerprint" it is still 2.2. Please also note that I am using JPU (2.2.1) on the "international" Galaxy S, and while it is crazy fast, it has serious issues with data being lost at random times. Don't pray too hard for 2.2.1, I've had to CWM nandroid restore my 2.2.1 "fast io" device almost daily.

This is based on the 959d source, hopefully closer to our phones and hopefully better on battery. It's using the same patches as the Dragon kernel posted earlier, speedmod, oc, fast scaling, voodoo sound.
Stock clock: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7320380/Dragon-Kernel-959d-v1.0.zip
OC 1.28Ghz: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7320380/Dragon-Kernel-959d-OC-v1.0.zip
These should be considered experimental. I have run them both for about an hour, so far so good.

It's probably the type of OC, they aren't all the same. If you have an OC mod that works good for you, and you want to see it in my kernel or any other, you need to get that dev to release the source. Some don't, and I can't reproduce what they do if I don't have the code. This OC is based on a patch from the i9000 forums, it works, but is less universal than some of the others on Vibrant hardware.
For the record, my source is posted here: https://github.com/travistabbal
I'm uploading the source for the 959d kernels now.
Great work
I think u actully did it with this one, the battery seems to be way better then the last 2.7 kernel. Im running oc and voodo

As a bit of education, can you explain the significance of the secondary boot loader? I've seen several postings make reference to it, but I'm not sure what roll it plays, and how it might differ from a Primary boot loader (assuming there is such a thing).
Thanks in advance!

Y'all are quick I was gonna ask the same. Now the question I do have if anyone has knowledge of other devices. I read somewhere that the MyTouch 4G pushed 2.2 followed by 2.2.1 can anyone confirm 2 separate updates on that device? If so might we expect the same with the Vibrant. I know I'm asking for pure speculation on the second question but it's all still speculation at this point. Us getting "Official" Froyo today may still be a big scam or hoax.

It seems you guys already have decided to move over there, but if not, please switch to following PaulForde's thread to keep up with Team ICSSGS roms, we have decided as a team that it is cleaner for all devices to have the same layout, and I have been busy lately so Paul has taken over for now. Is this the complete Kernel? VibrantKernel-B1-Update1.zip or is there any other complete kernel and this is just an update? Please clarify.
Thanks

+1; i don't know which kernel to flash!
VibrantKernel-B1-Update1.zip or FuguModICS_Vibrant_update.zip
The former says update 1 but the latter says update 2 and was added earlier...
