Is excaliburinhand playing with the kernel yet? It'd be awesome to get the soft key LED notification working again
And for some reason I like voodoo more than one click lagfix but Voodoo hangs when disabling and reverting data from ex4 to rfs When i disabled it to do all my stuff it froze and i lost allllllll my stuff.
P.S Do we know if ROM Manager will be updated to have a new update.zip to support our kernel?

Right now atinm and Unhelpful are playing around with injecting voodoo into the Froyo zImage... they're also trying to get around space limitations to get CWM or 2e recovery support into it- sooooooo keep your eyes peeled, when they finally get it going I'm sure it'll be all over the forums
So then what are you doing Zilch?! You gotta be proactive sir!
I saw that one and am tempted but is the cog stable enough? I could never get the voodoo lagfix to work properly on the last cog 2.6... Must have f'd it up somehow.
Do need a lagfix as its a little laggy but works great so far no complaints.

1.) I had Voodoo beta4 working with my 1.3 reoriented kernel (but it was done by excaliburinhand)
2.) The oneclicklagfix 2.1+ is working for me on Cog 2.2beta. Got a 1900 in quadrant and very good stability.
3.) I think Zilch still has some quotes from when I was drinking...

No, as you can see from "fingerprint" it is still 2.2. Please also note that I am using JPU (2.2.1) on the "international" Galaxy S, and while it is crazy fast, it has serious issues with data being lost at random times. Don't pray too hard for 2.2.1, I've had to CWM nandroid restore my 2.2.1 "fast io" device almost daily.
looking forward to seeing what this battery life is going to be like and wondering what if anything is new. being that i dont use the default launchers I really only look forward to ill drop down menu and notification bar. hope its gingerbreadish cause i was starting to like that. downloading now so I hope its a hit. will post back with any news as to what it looks like. show me a screen shot taker app and i will post screenies asap.

As a bit of education, can you explain the significance of the secondary boot loader? I've seen several postings make reference to it, but I'm not sure what roll it plays, and how it might differ from a Primary boot loader (assuming there is such a thing).
Thanks in advance!

It's responsible for the interaction between your hardware buttons and recovery or download mode. The short version, if you screw it up, your phone won't react at all to pushing the buttons on your phone.

Y'all are quick I was gonna ask the same. Now the question I do have if anyone has knowledge of other devices. I read somewhere that the MyTouch 4G pushed 2.2 followed by 2.2.1 can anyone confirm 2 separate updates on that device? If so might we expect the same with the Vibrant. I know I'm asking for pure speculation on the second question but it's all still speculation at this point. Us getting "Official" Froyo today may still be a big scam or hoax.
Again... Thanks for the awesome work. Now we wait for VODOO!!!... Lovin it.. like a fat kid loves CAKE!!!!!...

they're not i9000 based.
I'm testing the first kernel. Going to let it sit during the night and see what it does to the battery. Had a 1200+ quad score (and yes I know it doesn't really mean anything) which is still a couple of hundred more than Eugene got.
This is hardly scientific but there is no splash screen when booting. I'm not talking about a boot animation. I mean, the screen says Vibrant the whole time.

Hello all,
This is my first ROM for the LG Optimus 2x
I am only 14, so i think i am one of the youngest devs here
If you like my work, please donate/thank me
I hope you all enjoy!!!!!
If someone could please post some screenshots, that would be great!!!! Because my Optimus 2x is under repair right now due to the fact that my baby cousin threw it on the ground
This ROM is super fast and stable!!!! I will be releasing more mods and updates as I work on them!!!
ENJOY!!!!!!
quick rundown:
Wipe ROM
EXT4 FILE SYSTEM
MoDaCo Kernel R4/5
Custom Widgets tweaked by me
left out some bloatware apps
Stock theme
Nexus S sound pack
Download link: V1.3: http://www.mediafire.com/?8i16bt6xp1acmxz
You do this knowing all risks involved with flashing a ROM.
I am not responsible if your phone bricks, dies, moves out, throws you out of the house or anything else that you can think of.
THIS ROM WILL LOOK VERY STOCK, BUT I HAVE TWEAKED IT TO RUN MUCH FASTER!!!!!!! MORE MODS COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!

as i said, it is very basic looking, as of now, but pretty soon, it will look SIIKKKK
feedback :
-force close at settings, fix permission doesn't fix it
-radio not working(maybe incompatible lg-ril)
