Hey guys,
Updated using decad3nce's 1.1 update & 1.1ghz kernel. Everything works great, except when I click the back button on softkeys nothing happens. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan
You need to turn on usb debugging, from Decad3nce's Q&A
Where is USB debugging? How do I enable it?
A: Launch Nook Color tools(it's an application in your app drawer), hit "development", then check USB debugging. Then Reboot.

The reboot might not be necessary however, usb debugging might turn off without notice so if the back button not working again, check usb debugging and turn it on...
Usb debugging might already turn on. You need turn it off and then turn on it.
Same problem here
My USB debugging is enabled. I've reset it multiple times, but still. No back button in softkeys

just a quick question XDAers.
I've got an anoying 'problem' at the moment and was looking for some advice.
Whenever I restart my phone [either battery dies, or using recoverd/ download mode] and connect it back to my PC, it always connects with USB Debugging on, so then i have to go into the settings and disable this.
I know its not a problem, but its just anoying and thought that maybe someone might be able to advise.
I am currently on JPY firmware, running Webstars Ultimate ROM V6.5 with SpeedMod Kernel.
Thanks in advance, Matt
does noone else have this problem?
As far as i know, speedmod sets usb debugging after you used cwm recovery mode. This is for your own safety in case the flash or some setting goes wrong, so you can still access the phone via adb from a computer.
USB debug should stay deactivated after a normal reboot if you have it deactivated before.

ah you may be right, i just did a normal re-boot and the usb de-bugging did not activate. then i rebooted to recovery and restarted and debugging is now ticked.
thanks for that
So I am trying to unlock this Captivate and I Enabled the USB Debugging option when it's plugged into the computer. Problem is, when I actually connect it to the computer, the device doesn't go into USB debugging mode. Any help on this would be appreciated!

I had this problem few times. I had to pull the battery out and restart the phone. Doesn't hurt in trying this.
has anyone came up with a solution?
I cant seem to turn USB debugging on, that prevents me from rooting and installing a Recovery, very annoying, any way of fixing that ?

Is your trouble on the phone or on PC? you don't need to have USB debugging to be on for Rooting.
Was your USB cable plugged in while trying to turn it on?? USB debugging can't be toggled with USB plugged.

I tried both unplugged and plugged. When I was trying to assign a custom app for debugging it wont list anything. Kinda fixed it by running a separate USB Debugging app with busybox.
Was trying to unlock the bootloader.
One more thing, I've been waiting for like 5 minutes now for the bootloader to unlock, it gives me a "Running factory reset for the first Bootloader Unlock :lease Wait::" is that normal ?

I have the same problem. How I can fix it?
I have the Canadian Note 5 N920W8 and USB Debugging is greyed out and I can't find anyway to turn it on. Can someone help me with this?
Thanks
Maybe try restarting the device? I've got USB Debugging available to me on my N920W8. I don't know if there's a way to hide developer options and re-enable it, but I'd try that as well to see.
Thanks for your reply. Tried Power Off, restart, turned Developer Option off rebooted then turned the DO back on but still USB debugging is greyed out.
Do you think Factory Data reset would help?

Problem Solved:
Found out that My Knox removes the USB Debugging option. Uninstalled My Knox and the USB Debugging is now working.

Ah, glad to see you've fixed it! I disabled any Knox features so that would probably explain why mine wasn't greyed out.
Hello everyone,
Yesterday I installed CM13 and it is very good. I haven't found any problem as of now in my phone but I am getting BSOD everytime when I connect the mobile to my PC through USB. I tried everything from changing the cord to changing the usb port, even uninstalled LG drivers but still getting BSOD.
Can anyone help me to understand and solve this. Right now my only option is to take SD card out and connect it using Card Reader. Phone is working smoothly. No issues so far. Its just this problem is bugging me. Appreciate if you guys can help me out. Thank You.
Okay so I am getting BSOD only when I am enabling the USB Debugging. By disabling USB Debugging I am able to connect the phone to PC but it is only in the charging mode. I am not able to access any files. It is showing blank. So what should I do now?

1st: The USB Debugging problem only occurs on Windows, Linux distros are fine
2nd:Just pull out the status bar and click on the charging one. You'll be given 3 options: charging, MTP and PTP. (Sorry if I misspelled the names, it's been a long time since I've done this)

Thank You. I can now access the files.
Yes I am on Windows 10. USB Debugging BSOD is still an issue. So is it okay to keep USB debugging off? I always keep that option enabled cause I thought its an important option if you happen to brick the device. So what is the solution? is this happening for everyone who are on custom rom?
Thanks once again.

It's okay to leave it off. If you happen to brick your device, it won't boot, meaning no USB debugging.

Someone post answer in cm13 thread - some issues with drivers from LG with cm roms compilations or something like that. Just UNINSTAL driver from PC and u good to go connect l90 via MTP
You mast UNINSTALL driver from PC and reboot PC.
Then install this drivers and reboot PC:

L90 with 5.0.2 stok ROM or CM13 works correctly.
