[Q] Annoying alarm clock error in locked screen - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just started 2 days ago. Not important issue but annoying. When tab starts or locked, in unlock screen under date and time appears a clock icon which says error. I killed everything, but it is still there. I am stating to do a factory reset, now doing a titanium backup, but I'm affraid it will be there when I do a restore operation later. I searched the web, and xda forum, but couldnt find a cure. Please HELP!!

Is it just me? No one experienced that with this damned alarm clock? Nothing's running in the background and I still see this alarm clock icon with error display in the locked screen.

I also have this, on the locked screen there is the alarm clock icon with "error" next to it. It won't go away at all. I've restarted the phone and closed everything etc and it still won't go away

Dag gone error message as well. Any ideas on the cause?
Thanks

does anyone have fix this? i still get the error and my alarms do not go off! thanks!

The error message was caused by my Anti Virus installed (AVG) on meh Tab. Just go to your Antivirus settings and you'll find it.

Notification will NOT go away! Ideas?

Well... the ROM upgrade went well - took just under 8 minutes and seems to have worked perfectly (great job!). So I started reloading all the stuff I had on the MDA before that.
At one point, SOMETHING must have conflicted or gotten messed up, because PocketBreeze seems to have simply disappeared off my machine, and the little notification message at the lower left of the Today screen (over the calendar button/text) will NOT go away. I can click it, and it blinks momentarily - but NOT message comes up, and "notification" remains.
With Wisbar Advance 2 running, I also see an exclamation "!" mark in the today screen title bar as well -- I can click that too, but it behaves the same way. NOTHING happens! I have soft reset several times. No change.
I uninstalled Contact Breeze and Pocket Breeze, and then manually went back in via Explorer and deleted the stuff that didn't uninstall properly. I used MemMaid to clean out bad links and registry keys. I soft reset several more times.
Still have the notification. There should be NO notifications -- and even if there were, I can't see them by clicking on the notification message.
Any ideas at all? Very frustrating... I have a nasty feeling I may have to wipe the machine and reload the firmware, starting from scratch again, if I can't figure this out.

Click to collapse
Arggggh! Finally found it. I started uninstalling programs, one by one, soft resetting in between. Sadly, it was after removing about 5 or 6 benign programs (and all their settings!) that the next one fixed the notification problem. It was SBSH "iLauncher". I have NO idea what it was trying to tell me, but while it was installed, I had a "permanent notification", and as soon as I uninstalled it, the notification disappeared and I can see the "calendar" button once again on the today screen.
Now...because uninstalls in WM5 don't really seem to uninstall much of anything, I've been manually going in and cleaning out all references to the old programs, because it seems that most of these cannot be reinstalled OVER the remains of their last install.
*sigh*
Some more uninstalls tonight, then sleep. Then hopefully, clean installs in the morning.

SMS Notification

HI Guys
Over the past few days have noticed that when i get a SMS sometimes i get a notification and sometimes i dont.
Any one else same prob, And is there anything we can do, have tried soft reset still same.
Marko
I have the same problem...
Snap. Read somewhere else someone contacted HTC and although several people have reported it, they can't replicate the error.
Try changing this in the registery:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\DisableSMSWakeUpEvent=0
The screen willl turn on, and you will get notification based on your settings (vibration, sound)..
Still don't know if it will wake up unlocked or not, but if you have the option to show the message onscreen when you get it, it will wake up with the options to answer and cancel, I think. Try it out
you can also dl this software

No Service icon displaying

So i have been using the phone fine with no problems in the last 2-3 months but today the phone is behaving very strange. The signal bar now have exclamation mark displaying so i click on it and it says 'no service' and i don't whats wrong with it. I tried soft resetting the phone several times but it still displaying. Solution for this problem is welcome, however i would want to prevent from hard resetting as i have a lot of software installed and i don't want to loose them or else it will take a long time to recover. Thanks in advance.

[Q] KNOX Notification manager problem

Hi,
few days ago I noticed a exclamation mark in a triangle (warning) in notification bar. It says "Security information - The device has detected an application attempting to perform actions that are not permitted ", when I click on it i have to options. Restart now and Restart later.
I googled and noticed few others have same problem. I tried holding notification, and delete cache and force stop KNOX notification manager, because it helped others. After 4-5 minutes however, notification was back. I even tried factory reset. Didn't help...
Next solution was to delete KNOX completly and when I tried to do it... KNOX wasn't even installed.
I find 3rd solution and in settings under security I unchecked Auto update security, because it helped a few Note 3 owners. Still nothing. After few minutes another notification.
At that point I ran out of options so if anyone got a solution I would really appriciate it.
There were a few solution, but all required rooted phone, and my S3 isn't rooted and never was.
cheers!

S10 Pin code not working on lockscreen

Hi everyone,
here is my problem.
I lost my previous phone to the almighty water. (Always carry a ziplock for your electronics when hiking. Rain will find a way inside.)
So a friend of mine gave me her old S10 phone. Problem is that the phone is locked. Any pin code she can remember failed. (Which is frustrating as i can receive call or wake up to her old alarm clock)
So right now the lock screen say: "use pin after restart" and there is a notification "IU syst." (i've never seen something like that before). Maybe it will help narrowing the problem.
I can access the recovery mode and download mode.
So i tried to flash TWRP with odin but i got a "RQT_CLOSED" error before it failed. And Clockworkmode get stuck in setting up a connection. My idea was to use a custom recovery to use aroma file manger to get rid of the password.
Is there anything else i can try/do or im doomed to reset the phone ? bc I would like to avoid resetting the phone if possible.
Thanks for any help.
